Worth the money

I have really enjoyed being able to study on the go. I listen while cleaning, driving and more. However, I wish there was a way to listen without my phone screen being on, I wish that I could leave the app and come back where I left off, but the section within the chapter restarts. I wish I knew sooner that retaking the practice exam gives new questions, I thought it was like the quizzes that repeat the same questions..and I’m doing US history 2 and one of the lecturers sounds as though she has a speech impediment which I’m not judging but makes it difficult to understand what she’s trying to say.

They don’t care about feedback—many mistakes!

They make it super HARD to give feedback. There are many mistakes in the Spanish 145, 147 practice tests, but they make it nearly impossible to get help. Can’t even discuss with anyone! One example: “Which question word would you use to find out in what year Picasso painted a painting?” Obviously, it would be “¿En QUE año”, but they marked it wrong saying it was “CUANDO”…and it’s nearly impossible to send that in to them. They should make it simple; why am I paying a Premium for this service when it’s inaccurate at best, and when I ask for clarification, their responses are aloof? They reply to my request for a fix (or at least clarification) with things like “we need more info”, but only allow for one screen shot per submission. There are at least a dozen more errors, and while I believe it would be a waste of my time reporting them all, I maintain that they are doing a HUGE disservice to their all-trusting customers. Still, though, this story program is better than some prep courses, IF the test is on this material (but it could be better if they actually valued feedback), but it’s so expensive…wondering how much they pay their contributors, & could I get a free month or two for my useful corrections? I mean, they do aim for accuracy, right? Guess I’m wrong on both accounts.

Could be better-Content is good but usability needs improvement

The content is definitely on the mark. The problem is usability, especially with the mobile app. The developers really need to think harder about how someone is going to use this. While the tutorial videos are likely to be viewed on a desktop/laptop while seated at a desk, it’s possible but less likely that it will be used that way on a mobile device-especially a phone. It’s far more likely that a person is going to want to study flash cards or key formulas on their phone—a quick reinforcement on the go. It’s very difficult to find the flashcards. There also should be a way to save a link to the flash card sets so you don’t have to waste time searching for them. When you only have a few minutes, a person wants to get in, study something quick, and get out. This aspect really needs improvement. It’s a little overpriced considering how poorly that aspect is executed. Use from a pc while at a desk so you can take notes and work out sample problems and such is very good.

Downgrading my review from 3 stars to 2 stars. Support for questions regarding content is very poor.

$30 a month!

Im an elementary school teacher. The videos are great. The tests are a little too difficult and some are only a few questions meaning grades get low very quickly. I had no idea this subscription was $30/month. For simple videos this is very pricey. It makes me sad that my kids can’t use this because it’s already cost me a $100 for a few months and with thanksgiving and now Xmas holiday I don’t use it. I’m a single mom
And a foster parent. Im not looking for sympathy but just wish these kind of resources were more affordable. I only need the 3rd grade standards so even if they just charged by the course (I can’t use a lot of the other content, and I would think for most people it’s the same). I’m
Asking for a refund so hopefully customer service can help me out.

Affordable college credit! Best purchase ever!

I’ve been using the app for a few months now to obtain college credit. This truly is great for all types of learners! I didn’t think it would work well for me as I typically learn by hands on or interacting with an instructor. But I’ve had great success with this program! And I must say that the tech support is pretty great too. They corrected an app issue within days of being reported. The videos are awesome and the short quizzes at the end of each really help me to retain new knowledge! To the teachers: Thanks for the hard work and great material! I’m definitely going to continue paying for it until I’ve gotten all the credit I can since it’s much cheaper than traditional schools.

Worth the money

My style of learning. The videos are straight to the point and explains concepts in a digestible way. You also get the videos transcript. If that isn’t enough the material is also broken down in small units that you can read. After each unit you can take a short quiz 5 question quiz to test your knowledge. You also get 10 free questions that you can ask subject matter “experts” - who answers your question within the day. After you burn through the 10 free questions you can RE-up each question would be $4 or buy a package of 10 for $40.

Practice tests are full of errors

I love the UI and the teaching methodology for this app and website. I would give them 5 stars. Other tools are not as good, but the content has not been professionally edited and there are way too many errors, over 5% of the quiz and test questions, in my experience. The company responds that errors happen, but every time I find an error it creates confusion in my study process and hurts my confidence in the material. I did not pass my exam even though I had competed the entire course work, every quiz and practice test. The only logical reason for me, as I’ve passed many test before, is the content issues created brain fog for me, and reduced my confidence in the material that I learned.

Great way to learn, but the app needs work.

Great content, material throughly explained, very easy to digest..Extremely thankful that I’ve come across a such platform, however the app needs work. I’m presently experiencing poor functionality in which I’ve never experienced once before. The app tends to time out, and shut down at random. Lesson pages take forever to reload..which can become a huge frustration. For the cost, we definitely need better efficiency. Wish that I could give you guys 5 stars..because truly, this is a GREAT way to learn. However there’s definitely a need for improvement in this area.

honestly so amazing!

I am trying to get out of high school as early as possible (I am homeschooled) and the GED study guide is so good! The lessons are incredibly easy to follow along and understand. There are so many features that make it easy for me to learn. The CC on every video helps with my ADHD, and the lessons are worded very well so that it’s easy to pay attention to! I also like that I can track my progress, pick a custom schedule, do quizzes to test my progress and more! A very good app and 100% recommend if you are looking for something to help with school!

Passed FTCE Biology 6-12 as a non-bio, non-teaching major with the help of this

I used this tool as recommended by a Florida teacher to pass the Biology FTCE.

It was a MAJOR part in my success.

Here’s what I did:
-Watched videos/ read text and took quizzes until I got 100s on each one.
-Used a guide book as a general pointer of what I needed to study in the field of Biology.
- Took book diagnostic tests (about 5 times)
- Took online exams that mimicked the FTCE exam
- Got a teaching mentor and a good mental well being support group.

At times I thought this tool was TOO in depth and thought I was wasting my time.. thinking there’s no chance that Okazaki fragments would show up on the test.. guess what- they sure did!

This tool saved my bacon.

I used it on a weekly basis (4-5 days for 1-2 hours)

It took me 6 months of prep, having had a 5 year gap between my humanities degree and no studying in between to pass the first time.

Invest in yourself, invest in this tool :)
