You have been assigned a submarine.
Your submarine has a sonar system that can detect engine noise from enemy submarines, as well as send out a sonar pulse to detect submarines running their engines in stealth mode.
The last know position of a submarine as well as the projected position of the submarine is shown on screen.
The enemy has the same equipment. Your engine noise, sonar and firing a torpedo will give your position away.
Use your wits and you can defeat the enemy and advance in rank.

Improvements to highscores, and improved iPad support
I downloaded and played it a little and from what I’ve played I think it is kinda bland and lacking features and also I think it needs a bit more of a walkthrough or at least not dropping the player straight in with practically no time to think and it starts you off going a decent speed to the enemy so you have to fire pretty much as soon as you start to get past the first level, and it just feels rough and it seems like the enemy always knows where you are even when you are driving in stealth mode, and also the torpedoes seem just a bit to quick In my opinion, but with some work this could be a actually really good game and I look forward to see its progress.

Has great potential
This game has the greatest potential for becoming one of the best simulations out there in the undersea environment. Some things that would enhance this are:
1) Allow the range of the combat picture to be extended. This way the evade and escape but have a picture to maneuver back to the opponent. Better yet simply have the ability to zoom in/out with range rings listed in yards or nautical miles.
2) Shifting the rudder is ultimately how the boat’s course is determined, but it would be nice if one could just enter a bearing as well.
3) Speed control is course, would be a nice feature to just sets by knots or bell.
4) Countermeasures!
5) Ability to launch a spread of torpedos, vs just one along the bearing on the sub.
6) A better passive sonar capability.
