Description

Hunt enemy convoys, battle destroyers, attack land bases, and shoot down aircraft in this long-awaited sequel to the best-selling "Crash Dive".

Take command of a Gato-class submarine prowling the South Pacific in search of enemy shipping to sink.

Sneak past the destroyers and torpedo the transports, or surface and engage the sub-chasers in a duel with your deck gun.

When the enemy planes come in on a strafing run, man your AA guns to take them down!

Evade the hunting escorts before they can crush you with their depth charges.

Features:
* Smoothly blends a submarine simulator with arcade action.
* Provides the tools for both stealth and offense; you decide how aggressive you want to be.
* Full day/night cycle and wide range of weather conditions affect visibility and weapons.
* Crew health and location-based damage affects the performance of your sub.
* Optional crew management and detailed damage control (or let the computer take care of that for you).
* Optional upgrade tech tree for your sub (can also be left to the AI).
* Lengthy campaign mode.
* Random mission generator for deep replayability.
* Both randomly-generated maps and real-world locales including the Solomon Islands, Philippines, Sea of Japan, and more!
* Built-in modding editor lets you change every aspect of the game.

raid feid fan,
External camera
When will you be adding external camera actual scratch that will you be adding camera other than the camera we have now like you know free cam it will make the game a lot more cinematic plus you’ll probably get a lot more downloads and it can also provide tactical advantages like seeing how close you are to see see floor and to see depth charges exploding and to see if your torpedo is going to hit or not that way you can make adjustments if you don’t have tdc on by steering overall great game external camera would make it a lot better though btw I’ve had this thing with the game if I get a sink the Yamato in port mission I travel to the area there’s a convoy with Yamato in it and near by is musahi(idk if I spelled it right) is this a glitch or is it intended
Gothtog,
Great sub sim
First rate WWII sub sim, great sub game. I’m an old fan of Silent Service, and this feels just like that ole fave. The fidelity of detail is truly amazing and the ability to mod everything is an excellent touch. The only thing that seems to be lacking is the ability to do an emergency blow and the ability to jettison debris as a decoy. In Silent Service you could only do those once per battle encounter. Maybe the dev could add it in a future update. Side missions to rescue pilots and others was a nice touch too. Much better than the first Crash Dive, this is an excellent update. Best WWII sub action on mobile devices. OUTSTANDING!
Moe the greatest moe,
Minor reality gameplay adjustments read below
As I can see it if I use my submarine to cause other ships to collide there should be damage to those other ships including total destruction/sinking. The torpedo location and the deck gun are not located well on The screen. Lastly a submarine that is submerged at 200 feet does not have to fear a torpedo from another ship. They were only for surface targets only not subsurface. One last thing. There should be a limit to the amount of deaths charging that a destroyer or a destroyer escort can deliver. Because eventually they would run out of depth charges. Constantly having a never ending supply of depth charges kind of makes the game a four-star.
🔫🍋,
10/10 game, 10/10 developer
The game itself is fantastic, with the perfect mix of arcade and sim all in one package. An advanced, easy to use built in modding system makes the game fully customizable to your liking. If you want you sub to go 500 knots, you can mod it to do so. Everything from in game weather to how destroying an enemy seaplane base will affect aerial patrols is moddable. Not to mention the developer (🙏) listens to and even asks for suggestions and ideas for the game, and often actually implements them. My only complaint is that I have still not received cupholders…
hickoryjoint,
Outstanding.
I never write reviews but I simply am impressed with is submarine game. I’ve always liked submarine games even dating back to the Commodore 64 years, Silent Service.
I’ve loved starting at the EASY level to hone my skills. I look ahead to the various levels of play and I see it looks looks nearly infinite.
At first I was disappointed because there are no decoys but I’ve learned to use the thermal layer to hide and it actually seems more realistic.
I play this on an IPad and have watched for years to find a good submarine game. This one is great.
Guss99,
Very good game but…
Very good game but it could use some of Crash Dive 1 features. Simply adding resupply points would be great. Giving the player the option of selecting the location of the resupply points would take this to a whole new level. Adding decoys would also be beneficial as would adding one more level of time compression. We can collectively nitpick the game but my opinion is these three features would greatly improve the game. One frustration is the terrible accuracy of the deck gun and torpedoes. As close as a couple hundred yards, the gun hit/miss percentage is terrible. Torpedo accuracy isn’t much better.
Scott skmac,
Awesome Game
I don’t write reviews very often but I feel this one needed more than just the 5 stars. I’ve been playing sub games for many, many years (back to even the Commodore 64). This game is really good. I played the original Crash Dive which was also good but was a little on the light side. This game is a perfect match as it isn’t too complicated yet it still has enough simulation items to scratch that itch. You can also make it more complicated with all of the different settings if you want but it isn’t required. Great job!
Braden beyer,
Many changes would be nice, But a GREAT game!
One big change could be the option to use differently subs like the Balao or Tambor, among others, and instead of ships appearing instantly when they are in view range, it would be cool if they fade in to or out of sight! And more enemy ships like the Mutsuki class DE and Fubuki class DD, and a external camera would be nice as well as I saw many people put that in the reviews 😆
And this is more of a preference, but the Moyko and Kaga have the same model and Akagi and Takao class CV sand CA. (Moyko same as Takao and Kaga the same as akagi)
Overall a great game and it’s very fun!
mookie y,
Good game but some shortfalls
I like this game well enough but it was a bit tricky for me to learn. Once you get the hang of it it’s pretty fun. However, the antiaircraft gun is somewhat ineffective on the the planes because no matter how much you blast the planes, the planes don’t seem to be effected until they are right on top of you. By then, your sub is pretty well shot up and damaged. But is is still really fun and I love blasting the smaller ships with it. Oh, lately the graphics are chunky looking when I shoot the gun. That is, you don’t see the rounds so much because when you shoot, little squares around the gun break up. Still a good game and I enjoy it.
JamesinEdinburgh,
Annoying inaccuracies
I’ve enjoyed just about every WW2 subsim going back to Sid Meier’s Silent Service. All of them are a compromise between playability and historical simulation. This game works well, has a good interface, and makes acceptable compromises to keep the tactical calculations from being overwhelming.

But there are some poor choices with historical accuracy. To my knowledge the IJN destroyers never had an antisub torpedo to fire at allied subs. I faced 29 in the first mission alone. Second, night air attacks should be a rare occurence, but not in my game experience. These feel like adjustments designed to vary the challenge and artificially increase tension. If you are looking for a video game, fine.

But I’m with those who come to a WW2 subsim with a fair bit of historical knowledge. I’m expecting to implement tactics and strategies I have read about. Each step away from historical grounding diminishes my experience rather than enhancing it.

I appreciate that this is not a ‘freemium’ game. I don’t at all regret the $10 spent, but it was not quite the game I was hoping for.
