1.0.5
2014-02-02
• Resolved issue with "missing tiles" in Real Estate Market during Online Multiplayer games and Local games that were saved and restored (Please note that this update cannot repair old games that exhibit this issue. They will need to be deleted.)
• Improved contiguous tile counting (used by Harbormaster and Public Official goals)
• Resolved issue where exiting an Online Multiplayer game using the Main Menu button, and then playing a Local game, could result in the game staying in Multiplayer mode (and subsequently causing issues, including crashing)
• Resolved issue where switching the view to a Computer Player's board while your own stats were updating would pass the turn back to you, denying the Computer Player a turn. Now, after building a market tile, you are not allowed to switch views. (However, you can still switch before discarding, in order to determine the best tile to discard.)

We do not recommend starting an Online Multiplayer game on one device and then resuming it with the same Game Center account on a different device. You may also encounter issues if you start an Online Multiplayer game, then delete and re-install the Suburbia app, and finally attempt to resume the game.
1.0.1
2013-12-17
This critical update fixes many issues that players have reported.

Changes:

• Resolved issue with Flip and Zoom buttons that rendered Computer players unable to play
• Resolved issue with "Unable to Discard" alert that prematurely ended Pass-and-Play games
• Resolved issue where double-tapping Private Goals moved them off the screen
• Resolved issue that allowed human players to move tiles just before a Computer turn
• Resolved issue with discarding a tile after placing an Investment Marker
• Resolved issue with discarding a tile while another player's board was visible (tiles can now only be discarded when your own board is visible)
• Resolved issue that allowed market tiles to be moved during discard process after switching to view another player and then switching back to your tiles
• Resolved issue where flipping one tile to a lake and then placing a different tile resulted in incorrect stat changes
• Resolved issue where "i" button was shown after viewing another player's board during discard process (and subsequent Save or Quit would fail)

Wicked Nin,
Bugs!
The preview showing how the tile will affect stats are incorrect. For example, the airport which should only show -1 rep if adjacent to a suburb is showing -1 in every possible spot, despite only one space being adjacent. So disappointing since I love this game.
Mark S.76,
Enjoyable game
I originally gave it 3 stars because I found the new graphics hard to read, but I found the option to revert to old graphics and all is well.
Jared Olinger,
Works Perfect
My app works perfectly! Maybe a recent update fixed the errors. But this game is fantastic, and the campaign mode really brings new challenges. Love it!
Zirlburg,
It’s okay but buggy
Tile purchases are wrong. Allows you to buy tiles even if you don’t have enough money. If the printed price plus the market price equals more than your coins then you should not be able to buy the tile.
Wade Tregaskis,
Interesting, different, challenging
It’s quite clean, graphically, though it seems to have a bit of trouble fitting onto an iPad screen - on some levels you end up scrolling quite a bit too much.

It has some very poor instructions at various points - multiple times I’ve “lost” a level because the instructions were completely unclear, and I couldn’t tell until the first failure what they actually wanted. If you’re patient enough to ignore that, you do get past it eventually.

The gameplay itself is very cerebral - you need to think pretty far ahead in order to stand a reasonable chance of success.

The single-player levels offer an interesting variety of challenges, though the difficulty thereof varies randomly from trivial to completely unforgiving. It’d be nice if they’d balanced them a little better - it’s frustrating to not be able to actually pick an appropriate difficulty level. On a related note, it’d be better to begin with if it just awarded you up to three stars depending on your degree of success, rather than making you choose the target number of stars at the outset and then giving you a mere pass or fail against them. It’s needlessly frustrating to exceed the three-star requirements while playing on only one-star, and missing all credit for your achievement.
White--Black,
New writing on tiles is way, way to small
The new tiles are gorgeous, however, I own an iPad Pro and even on this large 10-inch screen I can’t read the incredibly small writing on the tiles. :/ I’m sure the printed tiles will be easier to read, but unfortunately, the online game is now dead to me. :(
Jane Doe in Pacific NW,
Bugs
Updated graphics are super cute but I just caught my newly purchased tiles not increasing my income (yellow warehouse +2 for every touching blue business & +5 for blue new car dealership + another +2 for touching yellow warehouse.

🙁. If purchases don’t increase my scores, it’s not so fun.
Smith2332,
No multiplayer
No multiplayer which is the whole reason the game is any good?
SalemBinx,
Bugs galore still
I waited for the first update to shell out the 4.99 for this game hoping all the issues I had read previously were resolved and I'm disappointed. While I'm sure local play (which still deceives because this implies being able to play others on the same local wifi or Bluetooth - which it doesn't and should be changed back to pass and play since that's really what it is) may be working better, online multiplayer is terrible. We got two rounds in (three iPads in same room on same wifi using online multi option) and one player's turn would never finalize so we could never get to the next player's turn. Whether it was a server issue or not, I do not know. The tile was placed, the check mark tapped and stats updated but then hung there indefinitely. Even after forcing the app quit and retrying - since no other option could be made. Local online via wifi or Bluetooth is a must. Shame it isn't an option since pretty much every other game of this caliber and prestige has the option. It seems the creators of this game haven't learned from the masters (Carcassone, Ascension, Lords of Warerdeep, etc.). And was it even playtested? Please please please make this game all it really can be - because right now, I'd rather play my physical copy than this sadly lacking and buggy app.
wonderjeep,
Unsure about the app
I am a very long time fan of this game and no it well. I just got the app and I like the app as well. However, after playing two games and being confused about how the app was adding up my income, I decided to double check it. I am very confident that it is not adding up my income correctly. It is hard to tell because you can’t see how many deductions you have from the population board, but I am showing that I should have an income of 26 minus population deductions. My population is 28. The game is showing me with an income of 15. If it isn’t adding up the effects of the tiles correctly then the game is unplayable because you cannot strategically select tiles. I would really appreciate a response, refund, or help in understanding this. Maybe I am missing something, but like I said, I am a long time fan of the board game and know it well. I don’t think I am mistaken.
