To celebrate the announcement and Kickstarter campaign (August 29th-September 27th) of One Night Ultimate Alien (http://tiny.cc/ONUA), the app has new Alien-themed background music available. To use, tap the gear, then tap the Edit button in the Background rectangle, then tap the Alien button.
3.0.5
2016-01-14
New in version 3.0: Now supports One Night Ultimate Vampire and Bonus Pack 2 roles.

New background sounds: Spaghetti, Horror, Rock, Disco, Pop, Tense.

Verbose Doppelganger - On by default. It may be turned on and off on the “Other” settings screen. This makes the Doppelganger much more accessible to new players by listing the roles that need to do their night action right away when the Doppelganger views them.

Pause button - This button now appears at the bottom of the screen during both the nighttime narration and the game timer. Background noise continues to play while in “pause” mode, and a “resume” button takes the place of the “pause” button while the narration/timer is paused.

Expert mode - stripping out all the instructions except wake up and close your eyes (and a few others as needed), this makes nighttime fly by.

All Roles Available and number of roles selected indicator - All the roles in the game are now shown, whether those roles wake up at night or not. All non-waking roles are placed at the bottom of the list. Inside the Play button is a number: this is the number of selected roles (usually you’ll want to use 3 more than the number of players). Roles that have duplicates now have duplicate buttons: there are 2 werewolves, 2 masons, and 3 villagers.

Quick Game Timer access - Press and hold the Game Timer button to quickly access the Game Timer settings screen. Doing this automatically turns on the Game Timer (if it had been off, or leaves it on if it was on).
Main screen package selection - All five packages are listed across the top of the screen, allowing you to show and hide roles on a per-package basis. When multiple packages are selected, the roles are sorted in order by nighttime waking order, with non-waking roles at the bottom of the list.

Scrolling list of roles - when there are too many roles to fit on the screen, they scroll off of the bottom (or top when you scroll down). You can select or deselect partially-hidden roles.

Double Role Timer for Complex Roles - Some role actions take longer than others, especially some of the new roles in Vampire. With the new 2X Complex Roles option activated in Role Timer Settings, the first Doppelganger, Cupid, Priest, Marksman, Squire, and Beholder get double the amount of time (based on the Role Timer length). Village Idiot always gets 5 extra seconds, regardless of the role timer (unless the Role timer is off, in which case he gets no time at all). This option is on by default.

Version 3.0.5 addresses various narration bugs, and adds an updated icon and splash screen, showing Werewolf, Daybreak, and Vampire.
3.0.1
2015-10-22
version 3.0.1 addresses two issues that appeared with the 3.0 build: Revealer narration is now present when no Vampires are selected, and the proper text is shown on screen during the Doppelganger-Assassin phase.

New in version 3.0: Now supports One Night Ultimate Vampire (and "Bonus Pack 2") roles.

New background sounds: Spaghetti, Horror, Rock, Disco, Pop, Tense.

JeremySmall,
Great App but the Super villain pack needs explanations
This app is amazing! it makes explaining the game to new players so much easier, it is just so convenient, the only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because the villain pack isn’t explained. How do you use it with other packs? Are super hero’s on the villager team? If you use werewolf’s and Super villains how does that work do the super villains want to kill the werewolf’s and vice versa or do they both try to live? Also if the nostridonist looks at a super villain the app says he is on the villager team witch makes no sense. And the doppelgänger never is told what to do when she looks at a villain pack role. Another thing is all of the villain pack role cards are all just copies of other cards with exception of like 1 card, which means there are two cards (Copy Cat and Mirror Man)that look at a card in the center and wake up later and do that night action, but would if they looked at the same card, do they both wake up at the same time? My other problem is the one night ultimate Alien rules said that if the doppelgänger looks at the oracle she would be asked her own question but the app doesn’t do that. Saying that I love the game and the App a lot I am just confused about these things
Sonicthed,
Incredibly Useful, Despite Minor Issues
I honestly cannot see how someone would chose to read instructions out loud when this free app exists. There are some small errors, such as the app saying things a little differently than what the contents book says, but most misunderstandings can be solved via their FAQ page on their website or just from a quick google.

The ONLY other thing I have with the app is it would be super helpful if at the end of each round, after we’ve voted, the app would show what it said during the night. One Night Ultimate Aliens has a lot of random features and sometimes people cannot remember what was said and a little confirmation page would be nice. Especially when there are time loops.

Other than that, absolutely get this if you own any of the One Night games.
emma chases this app,
Perfect game for a family
I always play this game with my family, I had to delete it off my phone because my phone is very glitchy now, but we have it downloaded on my husbands. Our seven children love this game, they are great at lying so it’s perfect, and it’s so cool to see who is the werewolf and who isn’t! I’ve been the robber the past few times, but I just love watching them fight over who’s lying or not. Makes them really notice how I feel when they lie to me and I feel betrayed. It’s a great life lesson in my family, and also super fun! Will be playing this game for many years ahead, please download this game if you have a big family or lots of friends!

PS: This game isn’t as fun if there are 2-4 players, I completely suggest having a big group to play this game! And forgive me if I only mentioned playing with family, you can certainly play with friends or strangers for that matter. The only reason I mentioned mostly family is because I only play with my family. Anyways. Great game, love the concept, I totally have a thumbs up 👍 if you are looking for a new fun board x tech game to play with loved ones!
mpmcgunagle,
Must have for any fans of the game
The game is amazing if you’re at all into social deduction games, which aren’t in short supply thankfully! But I love the old timey werewolf theme; playing this on Halloween night? My cup of tea.

Onto the app! I have to say I’ve only used it with the base game and Daybreak, I read some people say there are compatibility issues with using certain expansions that increase the teams like the superheros and villains. But that aside, this app automates things very well, and maybe more importantly you don’t need a narrator who 1. Won’t be able to play the round they’re narrating and 2. Kind of needs to know the roles pretty well to keep things going smoothly. The manual does lay out which roles wake up first, but it can definitely get a little muddy once more complex roles are introduced. This app takes away all the guess work and just lets everyone enjoy the game. You HAVE to try this!
hoppy bunnie,
Great. I have suggestions, but great.
First of all, I saw one other app for One Night Werewolf made by Ravensburger. I don’t know if that got your permission to be created. Just telling you just in case. This app is a must have for fans of One Night. This app is wonderful and helps narration and even tells you about all of the roles. One thing I have seen people wanting was the ability to have the Cow work with Vampire and Werewolf. I think it might be nice to have a setting to turn on Cow compatibility with Werewolf and Vampire. Just a note on the art, I would like to see more representation in the card art. Please make more colored and female characters in the art for the next game. You did a pretty good job with Supervillains (art wise). Otherwise, this game is great and fun.
Quentotimor,
Oracle needs to be updated
Oracle needs to be updated, when we were using oracle, the app asked to guess a number, none of us were the oracle so no one answered but the app auto replied saying that the guess was wrong and the new win condition was to kill the oracle, but no one was the oracle so we all lost. So that needs to be updated where if there’s no oracle to guess the number the app will always reply saying it was correct and not change everyone’s win condition
Skuu1975,
Very well but isn’t working well.
So, I got this app and it worked perfectly fine then I deleted it because my sister had it and I didn’t need it. But then I downloaded this app again and when I went onto it it kicked me off! I tried again and again but still wouldn’t let me on to this app again. I love the game and love this app but there is a few problems.
Metro yeah,
Sound DOES work! Awesome app!!
Lots of people say the sound doesn't work, but you just have to switch the volume on your phone to "ON" instead of vibrate/silent mode.

The app is great! Lets everyone focus on the game and if you're new to it, the app takes care of announcing for you so you don't have to memorize or read off the sheet. They also have cool background music options to choose from that add an extra dimension. Great app for a fun game!
JKraotongka,
Great game
My play group knows a different (and simplified) version of this game, but nevertheless, this is a fun variant. The app is amazing and removes the need for a narrator (though sometimes narrating's part of the fun). It's fairly complex, but really easy to pick up by introducing a few characters at first then expanding every game afterwards.

My one gripe is that the app isn't optimized for iPhone X. The app is nice and loud with this phone, but the formatting of the app doesn't accommodate for the screen's dimensions.
GiantDwarf01,
Great App for a Great Game
Wow the update is certainly taking advantage of it being an app - what with the random oracle questions, surprising you with random instructions, giving away your team if you do certain things, it's pretty cool. I can imagine it might be a bit annoying for some players though, so maybe an option to turn off some of those things might be good? I love them but who knows.
