Red_Mama,
Too big for iPhone mini but giving 5 because ads aren’t intrusive.
I really like how the small (memo) numbers light up when the large numbers light up. Thrilled that the ads are kept to a minimum - the main reason I deleted the previous app. I hate ads that run for 30 seconds then make you go to a second screen and wait another 30 seconds - I refuse to download any of those apps, because those all have the same interfering ads. And the tricks used are to make me download are insulting. (I’m talking to you - Scr***le). For the developers of this game It would be nice to have ‘auto fill’ memo mode aka quick pencil and the chance to pick the color scheme. I don’t need awards or fancy rewards. Keep the game simple. I play games to calm down. I don’t want a circus - either in the app or in the ads you fed me. I’d pay a small one-time fee for an ad-free version. I don’t do monthly subscriptions and you’ll get me to pay again when I upgrade phones. Thanks.

No annoying ads
I have loaded maybe three or four Sudoku apps. I get very annoyed that they spend most of the time trying to get me to load other games rather than moving on to play more games. This app has a nice feature where you can add your hints to the board. You have to be careful though, otherwise you can inadvertently place a guess when you exit Hint-record mode.

One App that I have played has the possible moves displayed (if you wish). This app has a hint if you click on a blank space and hit the light bulb. I like that it doesn’t display all of the possible hints. It feels like less of a cheat that way.

Anyways, kudos to the developers.
Daynaleo,
Awesome Graphics! EASY on my eyes!
I have played thousands of games of sudoku on other apps. Being very near sighted I find small numbers and tight layouts difficult for me. I have made many suggestions to other developers requesting upgrades and changes to make the game most friendly to visually impaired people. It appears the developers of this game listen to everything I told the others and developed a perfect solution for me. I really appreciate the thought and execution they demonstrated when they developed this sudoku game.

Great job!!!!!

Nice app. Needs harder puzzles.
Unlike some sudoku apps, this one manages notes in the conventional and most useful way, and offers flexibility in highlighting and whether affected notes are automatically removed when a square is solved. There are a couple of other tools that I’d like, such as being able to color tag notes, but compared with its competition I highly recommend it.

My only complaint is that the puzzles never get seriously difficult, even on the expert setting. I blew through 150 Expert level puzzles at an average of about 10 minutes each, and seldom used anything more complex than an X-wing or requiring uniqueness in a solution. Add a Black Belt puzzle category and five stars.

Room for improvement
I like the game, but I don’t like that we only get 3 mistakes, and on the 3rd mistake you have to watch a minute long advertisement to get back down to 2 mistakes. On any level harder than “easy,” it is an unrealistic expectation to stay under such a low number of mistakes in sudoku. Also, when starting a new game, sometimes you have to watch another minute long advertisement, but they don’t start the game after the ad. The games are timed as like a challenge to see if you can beat your best time, but the time starts while the ad is running, so by the time you get to actually playing the game, there’s already a minute on the clock. Overall a good game, but definitely still room for improvement.
jbowoman,
Basically like
Basically like this app. I like that the number you are working on lights up all. Say working on the 4 it shows all the 4’s already on the board. Makes it easier to see. Hate the ads in between. What’s really annoying is you try to start a puzzle but then the add comes up. By the time the ad is done a minute has already gone by on the timer. I like to time myself. If this app was available free if ads for a cost I’d buy it. Major flaw is if an ad is running and you shut your phone off. It freezes on the ad. Can’t get it to unfreeze so have to delete the app and then download again ☹️
Kiveroo,
Good, no frills, but too easy
This is a pretty good Sudoku app. The UI works and is easy to use. My main issue is that the “expert” puzzles are much too easy. One feature I like is that it will highlight all instances of a number on the board. However, I’d like the option to figure out if I placed a wrong number rather than have it immediately tell me I made a mistake, and you can’t lock a number to place multiple notes with one tap.
Jroonk,
App was good, 1.10 pushed me out.
Even the expert puzzles aren’t that hard, but it was pleasant. My main complaint is it’s too easy for me to fat finger the wrong number which after 3 times per puzzle forces ads on you to continue. I didn’t like it, but it wasn’t too bad. The latest update to 1.10 added an ad banner at the bottom of the screen, so now I’m fat fingering more because they had to squish stuff together more, and I accidentally tap the banner ads too. They are also distracting. I don’t mind apps making money with ads. I do mind when it affects the playability too much. And for me, this version does that.
Decentdocent71,
Well done
Font size and graphics are better than other apps. Mistakes in typing numbers occur very seldom. My only criticism is that the “notes” are difficult for this old person to read, since the gray numbers do not show up well on the blue background. I like the daily challenges. I would rate the difficulty of the puzzles as slightly easier than other sudoku apps. Overall, this is my sudoku app of choice.

No longer usable
Awesome except the adds render the app useless. They were really annoying when they required you to turn the sound on your phone off instead of defaulting to silent—that probably only rendered the app useless to people who use their phone as a phone. Now, adds play sound even when the phones entire sound is turned off. So you can’t use the app unless you’re alone and completely isolated and no where near other people and never want your ringer on ever again. I don’t mind adds, but they shouldn’t interfere with actually being able to use your phone.
