Description

Sudoku Simple is just how it sounds - we aimed to create an easier, beginner-friendly sudoku puzzle in which color helps you become a sudoku solver! Love logic? But feel less logical when it comes to solving sudoku puzzles? This sudoku is the easiest to learn available and has been called a revelation for some who wanted a simpler way to learn to solve sudoku puzzles.

Just start easy! Truly train your brain to understand new sudoku puzzle logic without complication or the strain of looking at black and white grids. Start training by playing smaller sudoku puzzles and harness the power of color and your brain will make more logical decisions! And as you become a sudoku puzzle solving master, adjust your difficulty to hard for a break from the now too-easy sudoku puzzles from your sudoku infancy!

Color Helps Your Eyes and Brain
Black and white sudoku puzzle grids can be stark and hurt those eyes. Our gentler color grid puzzles are easy on the eyes, and help your brain strategize faster!

Smaller Puzzles Give You a Big Boost
A largely blank 9x9 classic sudoku grid can be a scary thing. We start you out on smaller puzzles until you get the hang of logic and can start to formulate strategy!

Difficulty Levels Keep You Training
Your brain will soon become a sudoku color master and while you can continue to enjoy solving sampler sudoku puzzles, you can always check Settings for Hard mode! We believe in you, but we like to play to just relax too ;)

Sudoku Veterans Welcome
If you don’t want your hand held or you prefer a classic black and white sudoku grid, you can always access good old fashioned original sudoku from the play menu.

If we don’t make Sudoku the easiest game to learn or better understand, color us confused :P

hutchapup,
When an answer is wrong, why?
My family is ridiculously good at this game.... I even bought the easiest books possible and would be okay - MOST of the time, but the more gaps in each square the worse I got. This game DOES NOT offer the reason WHY an answer is wrong within one 9 digit square and that frustrates me to no end.... it should be correct . To me, it was a valid answer but i get the red squiggly line.....so what am I not understanding? Why do I feel so stupid - all over again? I’m trying to improve my skills because I’m not a “natural” with this kind of thinking.... I’m only 70 & would love to really enjoy this and tell my son and my dad, “look what I’ve learned to do! You were both a kind and patient teacher!”
Cardinal_2k,
Fun but...
So it is a fun game that I enjoy playing. But, there are some issues. I get that they need to have ads to make money. But several of the ads, even when you hit the x to close it, still take you to the download page for that game. It starts to get really annoying as it takes you away from the game and honestly to some pretty crappy looking games. Also, while I personally am playing just to keep my brain active, there really isn’t any benefits to getting a perfect game. You don’t get extra points or recognition for getting a perfect game versus guessing the whole way through. Also, the points you earn only give you a different name. It would be nice if they gave other advantages, such as cool backgrounds/numbers that you used points to earn. Maybe have specialty assists you could purchase with the points that don’t affect if you got a perfect game or not.
JoshCaleb12,
Great game environment... one small suggestion for improvement
On other sudoku apps, I have used a notes feature to keep track of possible answers, and, at first, I missed that here... but I quickly realized the app provides the same kind of clues in other ways. When a cell is highlighted, the numbers that could fit there, based on the square the cell is in, become bold in the array below the grid. That’s very helpful.

The one thing I might suggest is an autocomplete feature, which would work when I’ve placed all but one number... sometimes that means I’m plugging the same number in four or five times... an autocomplete at this point would be nice.

HARD TO SEE GRAPHICS…look elsewhere
A unique new take on an old, favorite game of mine! Graphics are beautiful, brilliant colours. Only problem being, once all of a particular number are used, they become TOO LIGHT for those of us who are visually impaired. Elderly in particular, require those numbers to be bolded out to increase visibility & ease gameplay. After writing this review & contacting developers about this problem, they seem not to care so my recommendation for those of us who love Sudoku…look elsewhere for better visual graphics for those with impaired (or even good) vision!
MeselfCatsnDogs,
Sudoku
I used to do a sudoku daily from the Houston Chronicle. After going through some big changes in my life in which I lost 4 members of my own immediate family (husband, mother & both of my grown children) I sort of got away from it. I’m back now, and though I am currently facing Stage 3 large cell lung cancer, I plan to do it to help me get through my chemo, and radiation treatments. Viva SUDOKU!!

Five stars to you! You’ve had an extraordinarily tough time, but with your winning attitude you are bound to beat the odds! I’m in your corner, now, too! Yay! To strong women - led by you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nowicanfran,
Well Designed Site
As a certified elementary school teacher, I know that to become proficient at any skill, there needs to be positive feedback and copious amounts of practice geared to be not too easy and, also, not too frustrating.
This site offers great teaching techniques and practice from very basic to very advanced. Trying to do Sudoku with paper and pencil discouraged me immediately. This format has taken me from very easy to very hard,at my own speed. It’s been a nice confidence booster in general.
Miz Luv,
Obnoxious ads. No paid version. Deleted.
Too bad. I have several other games from this company, all ad-free. Mostly, I like their UI and the daily challenges. Also really love to financially support those developers that make good products. Would be more than happy to buy this app. Unfortunately, that’s not an option with this game. The ads are incredibly intrusive and distracting (at best), and they actually hurt my eyes/head (at worst). Not sure who thought it was a good idea to have a bunch of flashing, jumping, video motion in front of your face while you’re trying to focus on solving a brain challenge, but they were definitely wrong. Dumped the app before I had even finished the first puzzle. Truly obnoxious.

I’ll reconsider if a paid version is added.
Snowshoe Cat,
Lots of Fun / Limited Challenge
I love the UI of this app. The colors, highlights, and skins are bright, high contrast and make reading the game grid easy easy.

The levels of difficulty of low, medium, and high are not all that difficult. The game’s challenge, as a result, is more limited in comparison to other Sudoko apps. It would be great if there was another level of difficulty or two.

The hint feature is also rather limited, it offers only a question mark (?) to identify target squares. It would be helpful to have a tiered hint that explains the logic of identifying solutions as a way of building skill over multiple plays.

The app would also benefit from a notes feature so you can record possible numbers by cell in the grid. The recorded notes would be updated automatically based on solved squares.

The game has a nice victory celebration at the end of each win, tiered achievements, and points accumulated toward these achievements that add a fun factor over and above the UI, sound affects, and animations.
1stCeye,
Bailey… is absolutely correct
First thing an ad popped up that just said, “UPGRADE THIS GAME” , no heading, nothing…I, too went to check it out to find an entirely different game. I was discussed with whomever posted his ad…..
****I have discoculia (I do what dyslexic readers do….by misplacing numbers…ALGEBRA in College was a nightmare!!!! ) I have always had a hard time trying to play Sudoku! The COLORS HELPED!!! I just played three games to completion! I am grinning. The colors help me keep track of the numbers. So let me say…THANK YOU!
Decent28,
Great Programming - 3 requests
Love your version of the game. Easy to follow and you can get really proficient on hardest level….but,
1. I paid for ad free MobilityWare Solitaire and Free Cell - please give me an option to stop seeing ads in Sudoku. I am willing to pay
2. Add statistics for “perfect win” since that is the goal of this game
3. Give me an expert level where I can’t see highlighted options for a selected cell nor how many of a given “number” are left to be used
