DeepakNulu,
Excellent user interaction design!
I have tried many sudoku apps, including one that was featured in an App Store writeup. This one has the best user experience of all. No fancy animations that slow down your interaction. Separate number pad for notes vs actual values (this saves a lot of interaction time). The ads are placed above the number pads so that it is easier to reach them with your thumb. Works well in landscape orientation as well. The pencil button fills a square with all values as notes (a feature I wanted for a long time but could not find until this app). Click the pencil button again and it shows notes of only the numbers that are not already in the block or row or column (this is really convenient but I prefer not to use this to give my brain more work). Click the pencil button once more and it removes all notes. This too is great interaction design (A single button rather than multiple buttons or settings).

Visually very clean and pleasing as well. Notes are clearly visible (not covered by a border like in the app that was in Apple’s writeup).

Best Sudoku-Tranquility at last
This game is peaceful and relaxing to use and that is it’s main purpose after all. Other sudoku games have unnecessary complications and distracting graphics. Having to change modes in order to note or place ruins the flow. How can you relax and concentrate with unnerving flashing and every time you place a number? The worst one actually rotates and blinks all the numbers and sends congratulatory messages every time you complete a row. Jeez, give it a rest. This game is the best because every aspect is simple, all on one screen, everything you need and nothing you don’t. Now, if I could just do away with those annoying ads...
kboardc,
The best I have found so far
I like the simplicity of this app. You have notes and answers on the same page so there’s no need to flip the numbers to be a different option. It’s about as close to playing in a weekly paper publication as you can get on an app. The only thing I don’t like is that the option to use a number doesn't disappear whence you use them up. But I get it. It adds a degree of challenge that doesn’t deter me. The degree of challenge in levels is good. Hard is a solid game but quickly doable for my skill level and the expert levels are quite difficult.
Curt in Franklin,
Love This App
This is my favorite sudoku app, and there are a lot to choose from. I have the paid version. I love the interface. It’s clean and uncluttered. I don’t pay for many apps, but I bought this one because I think it’s an excellent product. I only have one suggestion. I would love it if you had an option in settings for keyboard clicks. Sometimes if I’m playing fast, it would be nice to hear feedback to make sure I tapped on a number. But seriously, this is my go to sudoku. I rarely use magazines for puzzles now.
dundunsyn,
Good, but Some suggestions
I love sudoko! I always fill out the entire grid myself, but I liked it when you had the puzzle option for a quicker game. Anyway that could come back? Also sometimes if I’m really high I get confused on which numbers are the “possibility” numbers and which ones are final guesses. So sometimes I get a “mistake” when I wasn’t really choosing that number. Idk maybe could make one of them different somehow, like circles instead of squares? Or labels?
gratef,
Need some work.....
First of all, I DO NOT want any game app to work only through notifications. I want to play when I want to play and how many times I want to play without having @&$@ notifications always popping up. Second, don’t tell me I’ve made a mistake. I don’t need training wheels when I wish to play master level games. Third, the two different sets of numbers at the bottom need to be recognizably different so I have a visual clue to which set is for notes. The ‘mistakes’ I made were due to mixing up the two. I paid for the upgrade immediately because I always wish to support developers but I will retire this app off my phone.
P.Annie,
Soduko
The fun thing about this version of Soduko is that it includes a time clock - for me I always enjoy trying to beat the clock. I love that it has several levels.

When playing one needs to be precise. I never choose a wrong answer when I play with a Soduko magazine - I write in ink. If you aren’t careful you can actually just brush against a wrong number because you’re being lazy. So there is another aspect of perfection one need maintain.

The rather difficult thing about this game is putting it down and getting my chores done. It’s always “just one more game” type of thing. But if for whatever reason my time is lousy I need to play another to redeem myself in my own eyes. I think it's so enjoyable and I am grateful it was made. I can't imagine how you did it!

Thank you,

Perses Rathert

Minor modifications = Major Improvements
Two proposed modifications:

(1) When I press a large number to highlight pencil marks, leave the pencil marks highlighted 'till I press the number or a pencil mark again. Allows me to study the situation better.

(2) Allow me to insert my own sudoku puzzle an use the existing capabilities that are afforded.
Moeroe,
A Sudoku beginner.
I’m just learning how to play. Right now, I’m slow. I’ve only completed two puzzles correctly so far. I almost like playing already. I’m sure I’ll get faster and like it more if I stick with it. This seems like the right APP to get for beginners and if my skill level increases I can select more challenging levels. Right now, easy is hard. :-)
WordOfLife86,
Okayish for a free app
Definitely not the best but alright, I guess. You can finish a game and the next time you play it gives you the same game again but half filled in. You have to start a new game to get a different puzzle. Then if you rotate the screen, it gets crazy and you can’t play. I’ve had this app for a long time now and was thinking I need to get a different one soon because there’s got to be a better one out there.
