smiley_25,
Amazing app for healthy recipes!!
FINALLY!!!! Finally there is an app for healthy recipes! It has EVERYTHING! It has healthy recipes that you can filter based on your dietary restrictions. It offers food recommendations based off health concerns. There’s informative articles written by a nutritionist, a naturopath, and of course Sezzy! You can even write notes down when you try a recipe so you reference it when you go back to it!

What I love most is that it’s not an overwhelming amount of ingredients and each recipe doesn’t take too much time to make. I’ve been feeling stuck on what my options are since switching to a vegetarian diet and this app has reignited my excitement for food again!

I’ve been watching Sezzy for years on YT and she has inspired me in so many ways. I even have some of her active wear! I adore her and I’m so proud of what she’s accomplished and what she continues to do! ❤️
Sasetlak,
WORTH IT.
I’ve been following sarah for quite some time now, over 3 years so I was super excited about said “cooking project.” I think everyone was expecting a book like her workouts, so was surprised to see it was an app with recurring fees.

Not going to lie was very hesitant buying in, but the app is so fun and the recipes are even better. They also break down the price for you, like a 6-month subscription is like 1 night out of dining in America. 1 dinner vs dozens of healthy recipes? Figured I’d at least give it a go.

Love how comprehensive and thought out the entire layout is from pantry staples to recipes that incorporate healthy, whole foods. It 100% made me think about food differently in a good way, so hope to maintain these tips and tricks.

One critique I’d have if at all is that some of the recipes aren’t as healthy as you’d think so you have to use your best judgement, e.g. nachos isn’t exactly what I thought I’d see on her app. Would be fun for more community based stuff too like photos, comments, ratings, etc.

Also, I don’t have the reminder bug. It also doesn’t remind me all that often when I do have it turned on maybe 2x a month.

Hope this goes well for Sarah! Keep up the good work.

Tried to Love
This is really hard for me to do because I love Sezzy, but this app needs major improvement. Cooking apps can be much more user friendly than cook books if done correctly. However, this app offers non of them. For this app to be worth paying this premium, she needs a tab to plan your meals for the week, at least, and have it auto generate a grocery list. Instead I’m sitting here writing a list down, like I would have to do with a cook book, but I’m paying a subscription fee for a app. Basically, this just a glorified, over priced cook book that has no added benefits. There is also not enough mail meals, and to mention there’s no nutritional information. Which I understand intuitive eating can work for some people but not everyone. If I’m paying this steep price and for this to truly be a cook book for everyone, this needs to be added. Many people have medical reasons they need to tract certain nutritional information.
<3 Olivia,
Could be improved
So I immediately downloaded this when it released because I was so excited to support Sezzy! But then I opened it and saw just how expensive it is for a subscription and that there was no month to month option. Also, only a few things were unlocked so I couldn’t even look around to see if it was worth purchasing. I also kept getting asked if I wanted notifications, like how many times do I have to say no? Great vibe though. I just wish it were physical or a one time purchase amount. I’d be much more inclined to buy it. With Pinterest and all the free content out there, I don’t see how anyone would be willing to pay that much. I hope the best for you girl. Just maybe should have thought of your users and the time we are in over your own wants. It’s called user experience design for a reason, you aren’t designing it for you, it’s for the people who are going to buy it.
BSUstudent,
GREAT app for healthy and delicious meals!
My family and I have been using the app since the day it launched. It’s difficult to get kids to actually enjoy healthy meals, but every one always asks for seconds! The meals are ones I’ve never tried and some never heard of before. The categories make it very convenient! It’s nice to have all the healthy variety of recipes in one place! The cost is worth it to me because it’s an investment on mine and my families health!

The app doesn’t include nutritional facts, but that’s because the focus of the app is on intuitive eating. It doesn’t bother me at all, but it may be bothersome to others! If you’re American, make sure you do the conversions! (My husband didn’t realize the oven temperature was set to Celsius at first lol)
AMJMO,
Thrilled! (But have suggestions)
So far we have loved every recipe we’ve tried. Kids too!

Love the articles, the search function, the recipe roulette and the fact that I can make notes!

I haven’t had any of the glitches or “Turn on Notifications” issues that others have. I also don’t care about nutritional facts. A: I would assume that is a HUGE outside expense and B: eating Whole Foods and balancing out your meals (not having three sugary meals in one day) are more important than calories and fats. The fact that the recipes are reviewed by a nutritionist and dietician is good for me.

The price is a bit of a sticker shock, but at the end of the day, having someone to tell me what to eat is worth the money. I get that you can search the web for similar recipes for free, but ain’t nobody got time for that! I went with the annual subscription, which I’m happy with, but don’t love the fact that if I don’t renew, I lose access.

Now to suggestions. Would love a meal plan function for the week. Would love an “add to my grocery list” function. Thanks for all you guys do!
brooke_ana_s,
Not worth, I’m sorry
I absolutely loved Sarah and followed her for years. I was bummed when this was an app but since I wanted to support her and always loved what she does I decided to buy the one year subscription. Sadly it has been 8 months and I made about 4 recipes. Sadly I only enjoyed 1 and that one would be found easily on a free blog. I am only trying to constructive criticism, Sarah if you are reading this please do less niche ingredients because I could not find half of ingredients at 3 of my grocery stores so I had to order online. It just is so expensive and I tried a nourish bowl and felt bland. I’m sorry to put this negativity on here but just trying to help. Maybe do the recipes you do as you like to and then maybe add 1 that would not be as niche. I’m sorry, personally just not going to be renewing.
happymadison,
No, I don’t want to turn on notifications
I am surprised and annoyed with how often this asks you to turn on notifications. It’s literally every 10 seconds, I timed it. As someone who is trying to not only live a healthy lifestyle when it comes to my body, but also my mind, I want as few notifications from apps as possible. I was also very disappointed to see that you cannot subscribe on a monthly basis. This is a major flaw. I don’t want to subscribe to three months and find out it doesn’t have the content I want or need and be in for a quarter of a year. Disappointing to say the least. I have downloaded the app but won’t pay for the subscription until the notification prompt is turned off once answered no instead of prompting over and over. I also won’t subscribe until I can do so on a monthly basis.
annoyyyeedddd,
Rude creators & Basic recipes. Don’t waste your money.
The recipes given are basic recipes you find FREE on Pinterest. Smoothies, granola, nourish bowls, and basic chicken with veggies. Then this week... a coffee? The app glitches, theres so many errors and mistakes and there’s zero nutrition facts.

I’m super unimpressed by Sarah & Sunee deleting comments and then being rude to their fans/followers on Instagram who have legitimate concerns about this app. I saw Sarah comment to a follower saying “no one is forcing you to buy the app”. Really? It’s an insult to ask $120 for a discounted one year subscription for basic recipes, rude creators, and a faulty app.

When your customers want to be heard and validated, you don’t respond with rude snarky responses, or delete/block them. Is this app designed only for Sarah or for your 1 million subscribers? Listen to your complaints and validate your customers Sunee, or you won’t be getting anyone to renew their subscription.
RP33,
I tried, but I feel taken advantage of...
I really love Sarah, I love her ingenuity, drive, and bubbly personality. I tried so hard to like this app. Even though these are basic recipes that I could just google for free, it is nice to have them in one place. The BIG problem with this app is that you are paying a very high premium for having a dynamic platform, but I could have paid WAY less for a cookbook which would allow me to keep the content I’ve paid for forever. It is kind of a slap in the face to your supporters to take the content that we paid for away after the subscription is over, and that makes me feel used. In addition, there are lots of errors that should have been caught in editing. That’s a minor thing. Really, just don’t take away what I’ve paid (a lot) for. That might be fair if the subscription was $1.99/month, not $10!
