Good Job!
Features:
What I like personally is how the default font setting resets every time you press enter.
It’s very useful to me (though could be controversial to others preferences I guess) because i mainly like font changes for headings and such, so as opposed to the Apple Notes app, this is a very small, but very appreciated feature.
And of course, they very nice little touch of the smile/frown next to the logs.
Design:
I like that it’s very clean, organised, and minimal. It’s easy on the eyes and not too overwhelming to begin with, in regards to features and such.
Criticisms:
I see that the first couple of reviews do bring up the “how does this differ from any other journal app?” and that’s a valid point which I would love for the app makers to explore and I can’t wait to see how it changes, but at the same time, maybe this is just the simplicity that someone could be looking for!
Overall:
Clean, simple, not overwhelming, good alternative to the Notes app, bullet journalists might like it to keep quick notes on their phones, and congrats on the release!

How have I lived without this app?
I still have some things to figure out, like can I sync across devices, and how to get my timed events in order, but I love, love , love how free my brain feels right now with all my to do items categorized and out of my head. I love that I can bullet point and check list them....or not 😀. I am also going to try and use this as a daily journal. Wish there were more colors to choose from for categories and wish I could add pictures and videos to my journal section. Otherwise, PERFECTION!

Great concept with a lot of promise
I can easily see this being my favorite at. I love the simple UI which harkens back to the apps philosophy on journaling (I believe)—short and to the point. I hope that eventually they will have support for macs, but I’m patient. What made me give it a four is the lack of instructions on how the app SHOULD be used. I also wish that the different subjects/topics/tabs/(whatever) for day could be bunched together for one day as opposed to a bunch of separate entries for one day. Great app still.

Great Journal
I’ve tried my hand at a couple of journal apps and I’ve had my fair share of time using most of them. A lot still have more bells and whistles than this one does but I guess that’s what does it for me. The simplicity, functionality, and overall how well organized and useable it really is. My biggest thing is that I can’t add photos but I hope that changes in the future. Overall I really enjoy the UI and I’m glad Sunset exists!

Perfect for memory tracker so when you look back and remember the days!!
Been looking for an app like this for sooo long but they always made it too overly complicated... until i found this one!! Soo simple and perfect!! Very easy to use and actually does what it’s supposed to do unlike other apps! Cant wait to look back on my days over the years and see the changes and remenace the memories💯

Passcode!!!!!

I’m in love with this app! After trying out so many different ones I finally found sunset and I’m just so glad that it has a passcode. That’s really useful bc I don’t want others reading my thoughts and I like that everytime I exit out of the app and open it again it asks for the passcode so I don’t have to force stop the app everytime. Its also very nice to look at and I like to personalize my journal covers.

Needs to be linkable
This app is excellent and simple. The only downfall , which is quiet large, is the inability to sync / transfer journal entries on another phone. For example, my iPhone got completely ruined and I had many entries in the journal; things I’ve forgot. Once I redone loading the app on my new phone, I was unfortunately unable to retrieve my previous entries & have to start back from scratch. I highly recommended a system where a user logs in or is able to save the entries at least.

So I wanna start off by saying, I really love this app. It’s so promising. However definitely needs some adjustments. As I read in a few other reviews, I too would love love love to be able to use in landscape mode (I’m using on an ipad pro with a keyboard) and the whole freezing thing is way too recurring.
Small things I personally would enjoy (but probably not necessary haha): ability to duplicate post, more customizable text features like underlining, strike through, etc., maybe a today view, more flexible organizing besides just categories/sub-categories.
Also, I don’t really get the emotions feature?
Overall I like the concept and simplicity. Looking forward to seeing it grow/change!

Please Fix Bugs
I LOVE this app it’s so important to me but out of no where now it doesn’t let me type on the app!!! Please fix this journal app is my life and how I keep organized it has everything I need on it and where I write everything

Bug needs fixing
Normally I would give this 5 stars. I love this app and I never noticed this before but now it’s showing the wrong year for my entries and I can’t find any way to change it from 2018 to 2019. Everything is out of order so until it’s fixed I’m going to have to use another journaling app but I really hope an update comes out with bug fixes because this is one of my absolute favourite apps. Thank you.
