Swell Info has full seven day detailed surf forecasts, current weather, tides, and buoy data all in a sleek, super easy to use interface. This is an app you will use for today's surf session, and planning your surfing week.
Swell Info currently offers forecasts for the entire US (including Hawaii), Mexico, Central America, and Puerto Rico. New locations will be added in time. All locations available on the app are available free on the Swellinfo.com web site. Please check the web site to see a lit of all our forecast locations.
Launching Swell Info brings you to the main forecast screen providing a summary forecast for the morning and afternoon for each of the 7 days, conveniently color coded using green (clean), blue (fair), and red (choppy). You can swipe back and forth between your 5 favorite locations, and when you want the details, you can click on each day to get the detailed text surf forecast, tides, and hourly wind and swell data. The Swell Info app, also includes current wind, weather, tides, and buoy data, updated hourly at the top of each main forecast screen. This is the crucial information that notifies you on what the surfing conditions are right now - what the tide is doing, whether the sea breeze has kicked in, or if the new swell has started to show on the nearest buoy station.

Bought this app maybe 8 years ago, $5.99 I think, always was good. Past few months report was not synching up with the sessions I was having: e.g. report showed 2+ and green, okay grab the longboard, but out surfing 4-5+, like wish I had my shortboard. Now just this week, here it is a Saturday and report is showing Thursday, Hunh!!! Are they just going to let the app die? I deleted and reinstalled, didn’t fix it.

It is back
Just to update from all of the negative reviews. It seems they’ve fixed their issues with the data and the app gives accurate forecasts again. Glad to see since Corporate greed has ruined Surfline, and that same corporate greed has driven Surfline to buy out and kill off magic seaweed. SwellInfo always have more accurate forecasts to my local spot than either of the than Surfline and MSW, so glad to have this option back in action. (It’s been fixed for a year or so.)

Doesn’t work anymore
Such a bummer! I used this app for years and really appreciated it. Looks like I am not alone in experiencing that it won’t update anymore. Mine’s been stuck on the same forecast for a couple months. I keep trying to delete and re-load it. Still stuck. I really hope they keep this app going. It was nice.

App Crashes Now
Came to the review section to see if others were having the app crash when trying to log on. Been happening for the last two weeks. Other than that, really quick and accurate way to get data and compare spots. Needs a more complete update for the future for it to be worth the money.

Doesn’t work anymore
I have used this app for a long time and it was always great, this year it has not been accurate and some days it reported that the conditions were unknown, the last 3 weeks it has been showing the report for Thursday 3 weeks ago, this app does not work anymore.

Not functioning properly
Have had the app for years and had been satisfied with the overall experience. It was fairly accurate and told me what I needed to know (tide tines, forecasted every 3 hr increments, wind, etc). However, for the past several weeks/ months its been worthless. Doesn’t update, sync is off. I can no longer check multiple spots because it’s not showing anything. Look for another app unless they fix it pronto.

Not recommended!
DO NOT BUY! It is not the same version, and does not have all the features available on the web site. The web site is still available. This makes me believe that this app is not the same as the original one. Since the original one lost the domain a few days ago, this is probably somebody who bought the domain; but does not include all the features the original one did. Not recommended!

Nothing working
For the past few weeks the app hasn’t been showing results for the afternoon. No wind now and it’s the same forecast the past three days. Please fix your app!!

Used to love this app..
I loved this app for years, always gave me a heads up days in advance of a swell so I could plan on taking off week to head for a surf session. Since I live 1.5 hours from my favorite surf spot this was very convenient. For the last month the app is not working properly stating 3ft everyday. It hasn’t been updated in 3yrs. Hope the developers fix this but for now I can only give it 1 star

This app died
I’ve used this app for a few years and found it very useful and relatively accurate until around July of this year, 2019. Then it just stopped working all together. No idea what happened. Tried to reinstall several times, to no avail.
