Sync Photo downloads images from your SmugMug account to your IOS device so that the images can be viewed locally. Once you login to that account from SyncPhoto, it is a fast efficient way to copy selected galleries from your SmugMug account to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Photos can be quickly viewed much like a photo roll. There is no delay waiting for each photo to download since the photos have been downloaded during the synchronize step.
Photos can be downloaded at higher resolutions to allow greater zooming-in on an image. Larger images are slower to flip from one to the next however. Image EXIF data such as exposure and ISO can be displayed per image.
Photos can be automatically rotated to match the screen aspect ratio ensuring that they fill the screen to the fullest extent. Photos can also be zoomed to fill the screen so that there is no blank border area showing across the bottom or side of a photo.
The home page view can show a list of top level folders ( Categories ) or a list of all Galleries downloaded.
The app accesses a user's account on SmugMug.com which is a service. Content is provided by the user in the form of photographs that the user stores on the site. SyncPhoto does not have any ability to store photos on smugmug, it can only read/view/download photos from a users account. That account is typically paid for by the user. Does what it is supposed to
As of latest version, it works very well. Downloads large galleries fairly rapidly and displays them fast. Author is responsive and helpful, and has been making improvements. Only thing that would improve it would be the ability to sort the photos on the iphone, but that would be a bonus, not a requirement, because you can do it in smugmug.

Love this app
I have used this app to view my many SmugMug galleries since it first came out. It displays the photos so nicely and they are all on the iPad, rather than having to wait for each pic to download. The app also allows you to zoom on the photo, unlike SmugWallet that is an iPhone; which doesn't zoom. I just happened to notice that no one had reviewed this fine app and had to give my 5 stars.

Does the job
The Interface is very basic and simple. That said, it's efficient and displays Smugmug photos much more quickly than other apps. If you want offline viewing of your Smugmug account, check it out.

Frequently crashes, and has an interface that's not just poorly designed, it's actually insulting. Verify account option always fails, and downloads of pictures never worked.
First thing I did after deleting this app was to change my SmugMug password. This app was so bad it felt like one of those free apps meant to steal from you - not saying it is, but it's so awful it feels that way.
The program simply doesn't work, and even if it did, it's so poorly designed you wouldn't want to us it. Don't waste your time even downloading it.

I have been using this ever since the iPhoto update in iOS6 (which I couldn't stand). It works perfectly and would gladly pay for this app. It does exactly what I need it to do. I can now carry around my entire catalog on my iPad. Love it! Great job!

I loved this app already as it simply did what it was supposed to do. Now the sorting function was added and I am totally happy. The GUI might need a bit of an upgrade too but for me that is not a major issue. The app works great.

Need to share somewhere? Copy to camera roll from the app, and you are off to the races.
Need to upload something? Use Smugmug's own camera awesome.
Tempted to give 4 stars due to the ho-hum interface. But the app is free, without ads, not from the corporate site owner, and is recently updated. That's worth an extra star.
