Cigars of the Pharaoh: The original edition of this mythical adventure now in colour!
The drawings of the first version of Cigars of the Pharaoh are totally different from the current edition: it has a rounder graphic design, influenced by Art Deco, using the same graphic chart as for Tintin in the Land of the Soviets. This original story is finally presented in a totally new colour palette which will stimulate the reader's imagination while respecting the black lines and flat tints drawn and laid down by Hergé. The colourists were inspired by the artistic spirit which guided the colourisation of black and white films. The shimmer of the cities crossed, the luxuriance of the jungle, the ochre harmonies of the deserts or the tones of the Egyptian frescoes are all expressed in this way.

Awesome app, now with family sharing support!
One of the best apps and customer support I’ve ever experienced.
App itself was almost ideal, the only thing I was missing was ability to share albums I’ve purchased with my family. Which is why I was super pleased when they’ve added in-app purchase support as soon as iOS 14.2 was released in which this feature was added by Apple. Now, when I can share my albums with my kids, purchase definitely worth it and price/value is very very good.
All and all, highly recommend for anyone interested in owning Tintin digital albums collection!

It's great to have Tintin books available on your phone and sold for a reasonable price. The best thing is that buying the book in an additional language is only $1. So I'm now enjoying Tintin as I learn Dutch (and then French).
The not-so-bad thing is that I have to buy the book in English first. I am guessing that if my native language were French, I would have to buy that first before I could buy the English version. This isn't ideal, but it's not too bad. I already have all the books in English, in printed editions.
The really bad thing is that the electronic version of the book forces the reader to use the pagination from the paper version. It would make FAR more sense to have a frame-by-frame layout, where you could just keep advancing to the next frame. As it is, you must manually zoom in to read the frame, and manually zoom out to advance to the next page, and manually zoom in again...doing this over and over and over gets really tedious.
Also, there are a very limited number of languages, while (if I remember correctly) the paper version of Tintin might be nearly the world record holder for being translated into more languages than any other book. I expect this will change as they get more books scanned in, so I'm not too worried, but I would love to use Tintin to help me learn Italian, Serbian, and improve my Spanish and Portuguese.

Ahh..finally don’t have to carry my many, Tintin books to work
Just kidding, but really, on an iPad Pro (2019), the images are great. Thank goodness not in American English as some other would like. However when trying to read in landscape mode, the page isn’t mobile reactive (auto scale when the iPad is no its side vs. vertical). I’ll live with that, but needs an update. Beyond that awesome colors on retina screens.

Tintin review
I love Tintin books and it is fun to read them. My dad bought me THE BLACK ISLAND to start and I really liked it so right after I finished I asked him if I could go to the book store to get more. The ones we got were: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN, THE SEVEN CRYSTAL BALLS, PRISONERS OF THE SUN, and THE CASTIFIORE EMERALD. After we finished those we found the Tintin app and instantly bought the collection we started reading them.

Perfect for learning languages
I love the Tintin comics and I love this beautifully made app. You can switch between languages while reading. You pay for one book or collection but you have to pay a bit extra for each additional language. I wish they had a multi language collection deal. French audio is also a nice add on. Love it.

This app fell from heaven
I’m so thrilled to be able to read all these beautiful adventures wherever I’m at, which is currently in Guatemala, in covid lockdown. So it’s been amazing, and I love that I can get them in French, the most enjoyable language learning ever! Thank you for this app! I wish the other Franco-Belgian comics in this tradition had the same thing!

Good quality but they DOUBLE CHARGE you for the downloads.
They charge $59 for all the Tintin covers and some virtual statues from the different episodes. But then when you download the actual TIntin comic album they want $1 more for every Tintin you download if you actually want to read one. So kind of gouge you twice. Happens a lot with apps like this. But just good to have a guy let others know what they’re getting into before dropping money 💰 into something like this. The actual Tintins to read are not available. Seems like kind of a ripoff for $60.

It’s amazing having one great collection of books all in one place. Plus all the books only cost $3.99. I love the books and their characters but the thing that makes them so good is that they have meaning and they are so well thought out. 5 stars all the way.

The Best
I have been reading Tintin books for over 50 years now. I have probably gone through each of them more than 50 times. I still enjoy every bit of it. What a great classic.
