docdevice,
Problems
While I am glad to see a rewritten version of what used to be my favorite dice app, and pay another 8 dollars for it, the app currently has no sound, has bugs where the dice go completely missing from the screen, is missing the old dice like d30 etc and still has doesnt have “marble” or “wood” or even “transparent” dice that look the way they could or should. I hope development continues and these deficiencies addressed, but let the buyer beware.
Sharp42,
Improved
Great all-purpose customizable dice rolling app. Could be the best if not for some annoying bugs and missing/broken features. Examples: dice occasionally become invisible, requiring an app restart to fix (usually happens after doing some kind of customization, like adding a Favorite Roll); there’s no way to delete custom dice you’ve created; no way to import your own image file to use as a background (you can choose from 15 static backgrounds, but can’t import your own, although you can import a PDF file); trying to create your own Game Room crashes the app; can’t delete custom Dice Bars you create (the delete button is unresponsive); renaming Dice Bars doesn’t work.

The developer is notoriously unresponsive to inquiries and bug reports, but I’m happy that he has finally updated the app with some improvements. As of Version 1.1, the app has dice rolling sound, which was previously missing. But those of us who paid for the most expensive dice roller in the App Store shouldn’t have to wait another year for the rest of the issues to be addressed.
jr.wilson,
Missing critical features
If all you want is a dice roller, this fits the bill. I have heavily used the Dicenomicon for many years. I created many complex dice formulas, a capability that clearly put all the other dice rollers to shame. However, the +1 version is useless to me because it removed critical dice formula support features and all but the most basic features have been removed from the roll editor. Remarkably, the import feature is visible but unsupported, but the roll editor won't work well enough to reenter them. The web-based editor is also gone. It didn't work well, but it was better than the integrated editor. In short, I paid more money for less app this time around, when all I wanted was a 64-bit build of Dicenomicon that would work with iOS 11.
JediFezzik,
Loved the previous version....
Title says it all. If you’re doing a basic D&D type game, it will work. But I play Hero System, which is a d6 System. The old version of this app (The Dicenomicon) had a dice set for Hero System and I could easily create various custom dice rolls. It also had a variable dice roll where I could just enter the number of dice to roll (13) and press the roll button and off I go.

In this version, all the above is gone. I finally, after several hours, figured out how to create a single custom roll for Body, but can’t get the second half of the roll, the Stun.

I’ve tried to email the developer, and tried to get posting permissions on his support forum, but nope. No reply. Nothing. The support for creating the needed logic to create my rolls is non-existent as well.

As such, I can’t give this app a decent review since it won’t do what I need and since I had to buy the app in order to find out he removed the portion I use. If the developer would contact me and help me out, I’d be happy to update this review, but right now I paid for a useless app.
Hambys In SC,
Everyone Old Is New Again
The only app
I was dreading losing in the upgrade to iOS 11 was Dicenomicon so when I finally got around to seeing if there was a new version I was over the moon to find there was and it's current. I've only played with it a few minutes but all the old features are there. I know it's not the prettiest dice app but it's customized graphics options are fine and it's by far the best dice app for iOS by far.

Just one little thing...
It could be me (and it probably is), but how do you keep the dice rolls showing the totals at the top of the screen after the immediate display disappears?

With the old Dicenomicron, I could roll using the Full Stats function (6 groups of 4 dice, add the highest three in each group), and the totals would show at the top of the app (and stayed unless I rerolled). I would like that back.
Toasty Nuggets,
Love this app
Glad to see an ios11 version.... but where is the sound?

1-Star is too Generous
Seriously, this version is awful. It lacks the most basic of features and functions that the original app had. Not only that, but features that were in the first version have been removed, such as gravity physics.

Don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your money like I did.
Adupre1120,
Big disappointment
First of all Dicemonicon 3.2.1 is fantastic. It has everything, easy editing, powerful scripting and great customization options. Unfortunately, it does not work on newer versions of IOS. I was so excited when Dicenomicon +1 came out but that soon turned to disappointment. Here are the issues that I have found.

Dicenomicon +1 v 1.0.1

On iPhone 6+ v.11.2.1, iPad 2 v9.3.5

Customize sounds does not work, period.

No web editor for formulas.

I cannot edit formulas. When I tap on the field to input a new favorite formula the cursor never shows up and the keyboard never enters input.

No ability to change from custom keyboard to native keyboard.

Import just doesn’t work. Tap the import button and nothing happens.

No results bar. When you roll the dice the result shows up for about 3 seconds then disappears. The only way to see the result of a roll after that is to have the console as your background.

Export is funky. It works about %50 of the time.

When the device is connected to iTunes the file sharing option is not available for this app.

DnD 5e Character sheet is really for 3.x DnD.

Once a game room is created you cannot successfully delete it without uninstalling/reinstalling the app. The delete button does not work.

As a base dice roller, dN+1 is fine, but for $7 I expect to be able to do what I’m able to do with Dicenomicon v. 3.2.1. I’ve tweeted the developer with my issues but no response. The forums are also closed to new members and it doesn’t look anything has been posted in several years
