Fun game!
This is a fun little game. It runs fast and seems to take up very little resources compared to other app games I play. My battery just lasts longer.
The game has a bit of a learning curve but that’s half the fun! I’m still unlocking news areas, but I’m having a blast doing it!
Beginner advice: follow the main quest closely til level 50. Don’t use gold or pearls to try and rush shop building. It may seem like a good idea, but you will want those resources later. Also remember NOT to use your teleports until later on, they are important later to protect your goods from piracy. Best thing you do is buy “4 star conqueror” pieces from the mall. You need 20 of each to upgrade your Captain and the main quest doesn’t provide them.
Also don’t worry too much about trying to unlock all the trade goods right away. Just trade purple goods from a few cities and level up. Later on the game provides resources to help unlock goods as part of the main quest.

Only the Rich kids win this game
As a novice player, you can work hard and spend a great deal of time to complete all of your daily tasks only to have it taken away in the blink of an eye by a much stronger player. You can’t use strategy and tactics to evade the fury of the more powerful players because you are forced to take only one exposed route between north and south Europe through the English Channel which makes it impossible to evade the hostile enemies. Sailing through this forced route was like sprinting through a firing squad every time I attempted to secure my winnings. This was especially true in my case because the West side was far more dominant in the game. They would win the trade wars by a huge margin every time and would dominate the North day after day. You can’t private chat on the mobile version with specific members of your team so you can’t cultivate a team strategy either. The dominant players spend lots of real money to upgrade rapidly and dominate the game. After being robbed over and over I decided to erase the game completely.
Also, the highly skilled Basque sailors were a small but dominant presence in early Western European naval history. In this game they are not even mentioned and the significant port city of San Sebastián isn’t even on the map.

Good game but needs a couple tweaks to be great
This is a fun game I’m currently in the top ten overall of my server and 3rd in trade like the grind of the game and the promise of more ships and better upgrades overtime but my only complain is after exhausting all revenue of things to do I wish u allowed for us to watch ads to earn more trade permits or instances . Something to do after your tasks, that also rewarded playtime competitively. Waiting calmly to see what you do with clans/alliances and what events will looks like personally I’m hopeing to be able to attack ports and disrupt trade if your big enough.

The pay scale in this game requires one to be a millionaire to have any serious impact on your ability to even just survive. This is honestly a trash game with trash mechanics and trash chat restrictions that cripple any messaging at all. One player may simply outbuy the competition and there’s no counter play. No realistic way of catching up to the spender without spending money yourself. Don’t even bother with this game, it’s pay to win features are among the worst I’ve ever seen in any mobile game that I’ve played or even heard of. If you’re slightly stronger than the person you’re fighting in open sea then you literally get all of the resources and upgrade components that they are shipping. Only counterplay to someone being stronger than you is to teleport by spending gold (premium currency that costs two kidneys, about 900 plasma transfusions, and a Rolls Royce). Stay away. It’s a dirty cash grab that needs to be banned tbh.

Great potential, borderline theft.
This is a great game for the first 40 lvls and then comes the constant grief of having your materials and cargo taken by higher players. Which you can do nothing about. There’s nothing stopping someone from prowling the open waters and taking everything you have. This game is borderline real world theft when you are allowed to take things that, potentially, have been purchased with in-game currency. Total rip-off for gold once you calculate how much you need to spend to be a top vip. (It’s in the tens of thousands of dollars!!)
I know this sounds counter to the pirate theme of the game but being able to take from others and completely destroy a lower level persons fleet just makes this game a griefers wet dream. If they changed that this game would be much better.

For example, you progress by winning competitions against other players. They will get their alt into first, then use their main to protect that first place finish. It is because you eventually need higher level alts to help your main.
Second, support is a joke. There is no way to get support in game. They want you to post on Facebook, which I refuse to do.
Third, you have to pay to really get ahead. I do not think that a great problem, except that I have to compete against players who use multiple accounts in combination to get ahead. That includes attacking you a robbing you of resources. It just defeats the purpose of paying.

Money grab (like usual)
So I have been playing this game quite a bit the last week. Dropped probably $5 in the game which I don’t mind doing as I know developers need to make money on f2p games. However, I started to notice that I wasn’t really progressing much and a lot was behind a “vip” wall. So I started to look at their vip levels and the gear rewarded to you with each level. I looked at how much in game currency you would have to buy in order to get to the highest vip level and to do it you would have to spend $85,000. I mean come on. That is insane. I know “you don’t have to spend real money” but let’s face it, the fact that in order to get those certain items that come with top level vip you would have to spend almost 100k is enough for me to never play this game again. Greedy Chinese devs.

Amazing Game
This isn’t like all the other games that you have to pay to win, as-long as your patient then you’ll be able to become as great as other players. There’s even gifts that help out very much and they come frequently. You could pay for VIP or do tasks and get VIP points where you get the same rewards without having to pay! I love this game, I’ve always wanted a game like this and I’ve finally found it. I’ll definitely recommend this game for anyone who likes pirate/naval games!

UI is way too busy
These kinds of games all have the same exact problems to the point where it’s getting tedious. The UI is a complete mess with how needlessly busy it is and the tutorial will hold your hand as it explicitly points out every tiny detail that’s required for the smallest of tasks. If you don’t remember everything in the first handful of minutes then you’re going to get turned around and struggle to play the game.
I don’t understand why all games that are advertised on Facebook have putrid UI design. I don’t want to pull out a blueprint just to understand what core features of the game do, especially if it has anything to do with in-game currency.

Why share?
I love the game I am number one in two of the three right now. I love the grind and ships but why must we share are trades? When you work hard to be in the top in the Caribbean and the you have to try and wake up at 3 am to beat the people from Asia cuz of the time difference all the work I put in is useless and I lose my trades. If Havana say I gonna get 650 coffee why can’t I get that when I log in? Think it is bull that peep making millions off my back. But anyways that was my only complaint. Oh and something to think about how about clans. That be cool.
