Geminiman,
Fun until it stops working and needs a reset
Both my daughter and I have lost date now because of the tracking stopping working at some point. It won't add any distance and the only option is to reset. I also lost all my data when I got a new watch because none of the data was saved with my watch backup or on the phone apparently even though I have all settings allowed for such things. Very disappointed. At this rate I'm never reaching Oregon! Many reviews saying this and they're doing nothing to fix it.

Lost Data After the official release of IOS 16
I have been using this application July. It’s been an awesome app , So am I in no way taking away from those factors. However , when the official release of iOS 16 was released to the public , the application stopped recording data. Trying to install the application on a new watch caused issues and gave two separate profiles ( One on device and one in the cloud) giving me the option to choose only one and to delete the other however, how are you supposed to know which one has the data that you really need? How about merging profiles when there’s a conflict so that no one loses data…?

Fun while it works
I LOVE the concept of this step tracker, and it adds fun to boring days at work where all I do is walk. It's extremely easy to use and user friendly.

However, it would be EXTRA fun if I wasn't stuck 13% of the way through the trail for months. I've double checked every permission it needs, and while I considered resetting my progress, from other reviews it seems like it's a bandaid that will eventually fall off.

Super disappointed as I loved seeing my daily progress. I hope it gets fixed.

Fun idea, but non-functional
I really like the concept of the app and recommended it to family and friends so we could see who could make it to Oregon City first. For weeks now, we have all been stuck between Rock Creek and Little Blue River with the overall Progress to Oregon City frozen at 11%. The information under Steps Today correctly displays the amount of steps taken that day, but none of that data transfers over to Progress. Everything is set up correctly under Apple Health data permissions. If the devs can fix the progress bug, I would gladly rate the app 5 stars. Until then, it’s unfortunately non-functional.

Good for a Minute
This was awesome while it worked! A couple weeks into it, it stopped tracking my steps. Well, it tracked my steps but it wouldn’t transfer over to my progress, so for two weeks my distance hasn’t changed at all. I double checked my settings and everything was the same and should have worked. I deleted the app off my watch to reinstall it and now I can’t even reinstall! It says “purchased” as if it’s still on my watch and I can’t download.

Fun Till it Stopped Tracking
I had a really good time checking in on my progress daily, it was one of the first apps I got for my watch.

Then suddenly out of no where it stopped tracking my steps. I’ve messed with the health settings through my phone, and everything appears to be working like normal…the steps are counted correctly still, but I’ve been stuck at 2.6 miles outside of Willow Island for a few weeks now.

If I have to reset the app then I’ll just remove it, not really fun to have to start all the way from the beginning again.

Fun little watch App
Came across this when I got my new watch. Not much gameplay, just a step counter and small progression with an update of where you are and where you’re headed next.

It’s a fun thing to look at once a day. So far I’m 2% into my journey. I just hope there’s something interesting when I make finally reach my goal.
FiendishFork,
Was excited for this app but it stopped working after a couple months
Progress never updates. It shows me how many steps I did that day but my trip never progresses. Been at the same point on the trail for months now. update:I decided to restart and lose all progress. So I uninstalled and reinstalled, went okay for two weeks then the same thing as above happened. Stuck at 50 miles and nothing I can do to get it to keep tracking. I have another similar app with the same permissions and it does not have this problem
smallstepsPDX,
Fun and nostalgic
Really cool implementation of a classic game from the 80s and 90s into modern tech.

Anyone else have the issue where when you swipe over to the Trivia page on the watch app only the 1st section is available to read? I’m into the 3rd section with my current progress (4% game total) but none of the location Trivia is available. Maybe an uninstall/reinstall would fix?

Great Idea—Fail in Execution.
The idea is really great, engaging even—in that I’d find myself extending my walks or increasing the amount of walks through my day to increase my distance. Fails I’m execution as the most important and fundamental part of this app—THE TRACKING/HEALTH DATA—eventually stops working; leaving one to reset their journey all the way back to square one and losing all their data.

This APP has been out for well over a year now. For this app breaking bug to still exist just speaks volumes about the developer and their laissez-faire attitude towards subsidiary/complimentary apps.
