The Resistance Companion Hack 1.1 + Redeem Codes

While I agree it would be nice to have the extra roles and expansion options added, for just starting and leading you through the base game it’s great. Really like the music and atmosphere it creates. However, it doesn’t work on my phone’s iOS and says the developer needs to update it to work now. Will that be coming soon, I hope?

I cannot recommend this app enough. The Resistance is fun without the app, but it’s life changing with it. The simple leader selection, the ominous voice, the chilling background music? This app is an essential on par with water, shelter, and ice cream.

Actually though, it’s a great app. It’s how I made a lot of my friends in college. Plus the guy who makes it is wonderful. When the app wasn’t compatible with the new version of iOS, my friend emailed him and he had it fixed within days.

Ignore the negative reviews that say you need to buy the game to use the app. It clearly says that in the app description, so I don’t know why people are upset about that.

This app was released years ago and still does not support any of the expansions, alternative rules, or even some of the new rules in the current (3rd) edition of the game.

It has cool sound effects, which possibly could make it harder to understand if you have bad speakers. The sound effects/voice over are the only good things about this app.

The only reason I wanted this is because once you start adding on expansions and alternative rules the “reveal phase” of the game can start to become complicated. Especially if you add all of them for an advanced group.

But this app only works for the most basic rules, revealing the spies to each other. It also has a random generator to select the leader (which I find completely unnecessary). Complete waste of $3.

I really hope the developer updates it or someone makes a new one.

I can live with the $1.99 price because someone did spend their time making this and it helps (a little bit) get the game going, and that isn't much money.

My complaint is it should support some the expansion roles, like Commander/Merlin, etc. and work with Avalon.

It's no "One Night Ultimate Werewolf" app, which is free. Really, the Resistance publisher should have made this app and done it right.

The sound is hard to understand

Bought this for $1.99 and all it does is randomly select a leader then tell you to hand out the cards. After that it plays music and has a voice say "now everyone close your eyes...bah bah...now everyone open your eyes and begin the resistance" for spies,then you reset it and do it again...I would rather just use a selector app and tell people to close their eyes when it is time to do so.

I was hoping that it had missions or something to help complement game play, but nope. Just a selector.

All this does is narrate the intro where players close their eyes. It does NOT includ settings for any special role cards, it does NOT have a timer for voting phases, and it Does NOT keep track of any game elements like fails/success totals or failed vote count. Don't spend $2 on a leader randomizer. I should also mention that it doesn't in any way help with setup as it claims. It doesn't remind you of how many of each role card or any other useful function.

Do not purchase this if you are looking to play the game. All this app does is randomly pick a leader to begin and then tell the spies to open and close their eyes. Worst $3.00 I've ever spent. It's my own fault for not looking into the product before I purchased, but I don't want you to make the same mistake I did

I bought it thinking I could have a mobile version of it to play on the go, but it’s literally just a leader randomizer and then narrates instructions. There’s no voting or mission playability. Wasted $2.99

This app isn't even worth it if it were free. I was hoping that it would deal cards for you so you could use it in places where dealing cards is impossible.
