Description

STIGMA is a mental health app on a mission to normalize conversations about mental health by creating safe spaces for people to talk about living with misunderstood conditions. Watch STIGMA Stories of people who share your lived experiences to see living proof you’re not alone. Or, ask for or offer messages of HOPE via asynchronous video, audio, or text message.

There are three great ways to connect with other members using our app:

- Watch STIGMA Stories. Listening to others' stories increases our compassion for different lived experiences. In your STIGMA Stories feed, you can filter by any condition or lived experience that interests you.

- Ask for HOPE. It’s human to have good days and bad ones. When you find yourself needing a little support, simply record a message about how you’re feeling and tell us who you want to share it with in the STIGMA community. We’ll notify you when a message of HOPE is waiting in your inbox.

- Offer someone HOPE. Being kind feels good and is proven to improve your own mental and physical health. To brighten someone’s day, go to your STIGMA dashboard to view a list of people who are struggling, and offer some support.

At STIGMA we believe the only way to normalize conversations about mental health is to be brave enough to have them. Will you join us?

heyjenn,
You are not alone
We crowdsource our traffic so why not hope? I love how quick and easy the app is to use and navigate. Sometimes you need to hear from someone who has been there too but you don’t want to get into a long drawn out conversation. You just need a little something to get you through that moment, that day, that week etc. I’ve asked for hope, received hope and given hope. I like the option of being able to text, audio or video messages - and I’ve used all three based on what I was feeling that day. It’s a safe space and well thought out to be all-inclusive. This is what mental health support done well looks like.

You are not alone
Modern society, especially during Covid, has left us more connected than ever through technology and social media yet many people have never felt more alone. The platform, especially at scale, will serve as a supportive community where you can ask or give hope, which is completely free but incredibly meaningful to those who need it most. I’m excited to be an early adopter and look forward to giving and receiving hope. Words are powerful and you never know what someone is going through. Positive messages have the power to make someone’s day or even change/save someone’s life.

Therapists - please tell your clients about this app!
As a licensed clinical therapist, I am so excited to see an app like this as it is truly different than the other mental health apps out there. This is such an effective tool to use as an adjunct to my sessions with clients as it can help combat the devastating epidemic of loneliness. The storytelling and connection to another, actual human being (with a shared, lived experience) can be the gateway to a more meaningful, fulfilling and engaged life. I will be using this app as a tool to help clients discover their resilience and courage, despite whatever difficult journey they have traveled thus far. Can’t wait to share with fellow mental health clinicians!

I cannot believe this is free!
Stigma app has changed my life in every way. All of my friends and family use this as a tool to help them manage their stress, loneliness and pain. I’ve turned to it personally to both give an offer hope to others. The founder of this organization is the best person I’ve ever met. She invented the term and mentality of “crowdsourcing hope”. it’s life-changing if you think about it… It’s even more life-changing if you act upon it. Sharing our story gives us the power to help others heal. Be brave and give hope when you have it to spare & Take it when you need it.
animal is awesome,
Give it a try
A fantastic App for connecting people who need a little pick me up from others who get it. A smooth design to the platform makes it extremely easy to use. Check it out… you won’t regret it.

Help when you need it
The Stigma App is a game changer! It is amazing to be connected to a supportive community with the click of the button. The stories shared on the app are incredible and I admire those brave souls for being so open and honest with the struggles they’ve encountered in their lives.

Support when you need it
I love that I have a place I can go when I’m feeling alone or down about something and can feel supported by others who are going through something similar.
Bobcat Brown,
Very unique
I recently downloaded the app and absolutely love the idea. Building a community so you don’t feel so alone with issues is such a great and smart idea! Having a forum to help get people through issues is a fantastic idea for all mental health.

Best mental health app
The world needs the STIGMA App. It is a wonderful and easy way for people like myself struggling with their mental health to receive messages of hope from others, as well as offering hope. It really gets me through the day.
