HOW DOES IT WORK?
Breathscape is a sensory experience that promotes meditation, anxiety reduction, relaxation, and sleep induction through deep slow breathing supported by auditory biofeedback. Using only a smartphone, this software connects you with your breath and supports healthy abdominal breathing patterns in a way that has been described as “effortless.” By hearing music generated by your own breath, in real-time, you become more aware of your respiratory rhythm and naturally begin to take slower, deeper breaths.

Breathscape tracks the motion of your breath using only your phone and generates a custom and immersive musical experience in real-time. Simply sit or lie down and place you phone against your stomach such that your breath gently tilts the device. The app conducts the melodies of angelic voices, stirs wind chimes, and gives rise to the sweeping sound of ocean waves. Every session is unique, and the breath conducts the symphony.

There are a number of specialized music apps available including Noisili and Brain fm, breathscape is unique in that it creates an ever-changing soundscape with you in each moment through breath biofeedback, a unique approach from other breathing apps such as Breathwrk and Breethe. While other apps support a variety of pranayama techniques (or specific breathwork styles such as box breathing), Breathscape focuses on deep breathing (into the diaphragm) to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.

Our biggest update yet, just in time for the holidays! You'll now receive a rich set of analytics with each session, including your starting/ending respiratory rates and an overall Breath Score. These values will help you track your progress from one session to the next, and you can also revisit this data at any time on the new session-history page!

A high breath score indicates a healthy, stable breathing pattern. This score will improve as you train your body to breathe more deeply and slowly. Over time you’ll begin to notice benefits throughout your day as you release stress and access deeper states of relaxation. Be patient, a little practice every day will go a long way!

Highly Reccomend, like HIGHLY
Okay, when in my first session i coupd not only see on the screen the positive results of this, but could actually feel it, i knew i was on to something. It's not often i find a meditation app i actually WANT to stick to, this one i do. This app is amazing. I could feel my anxiety lessening as i was doing the breathwork, I could actually see how my breathing got slower throughout the 10 minute session on the screen, there's a new one every day-- I know i'm gonna stick to this one. I know i'm gonna take ten minutes out of my busy days to do this no matter what, because IT HELPS. First session and i am in LOVE.

Take control of panic attacks
Thank you! Thank you! This app has been so helpful at holding back my panic attacks. I discovered how helpful it was when I felt one coming and I was not in a place where I wanted anyone to see it happen. I found a quiet spot, placed the phone on my stomach and started breathing with it. It worked! I calmed down and I was able to ground myself and move on with my day.

This app is unique and thoughtfully designed. The music is soothing and beautiful. I’ve also used it while lying on my zero gravity massage chair and right before bed. This app takes the power of our breath and makes it even better! Amazing!

Unlike any other meditation app
I’ve used Headspace and Calm for years and had some success, but was never able to stick with it. I was fortunate enough to find this app and it changed the way I think about meditation and deep breathing.

The app literally turns your breath into music, which helps make each experience unique and immersive. It allows me to learn deep breathing techniques without even knowing it. I find myself relaxed and reenergized whether I am using it to fall asleep or just take a break from the Boise in the middle of my day.

Most importantly, I look forward to doing it every day!

This is so cool. As much as i try to escape the world of technology, especially with COVID its constantly here. I feel like my phone is already an extension of my body and mind because I spend so much time on it. And this is such a clever idea. It gives me time to just rest, relax my eyes and tune into my body... through my phone.

Amazing tool for kids who are going stir crazy too - a great alternative to a time-out for my little one "here. Go make some music with your body for a few minutes" is much more positive and productive for my 9 year old.

Blown away by this app. I’m trying to make meditation a daily practice and had been trying different things here and there but this one is... I think the best description might be ‘beautifully immersive’. For someone who has a squirrel brain that never shuts off, I struggle to get to a ‘no thinking’ place, but it was so fast with this app. I settled in to it, and only focused my attention on my breath. The deeper and more relaxed my breathing became, the swells and dips of the music matched perfectly. It meant I was truly, and fully in the moment. Magic.

Unlike Any Other Meditation App
Found this app via Reddit, and it’s INCREDIBLE. As someone constantly dealing with stress, I find meditation helpful; however, it’s always been difficult to make meditation a habit and improve my “skill”.

Breathscape is a game changer because it gives you instant feedback on your breathing pattern, in a calm and empowering manner. The first time I used Breathscape I felt a rush of euphoria — something I hadn’t felt in a long time. I’m so excited to continue using this app, and see how it grows. Thank you developers — you rock!

This app is awesome
I don’t normally write reviews, but this app is special. I’ve only been using it for about a week but I already notice a difference in the depth and quality of my breath. I missed a day because I was traveling and I actually missed doing it. I downloaded it initially to help with migraines and I think it’s too early to know if it helps with that, but it’s excellent for meditation. Highly recommend!

Love. This. App.
This meditation app is wonderful. Not only does it help you with meditation in general, it syncs the music with your breath. Each session is completely unique because of that, and it helps create awareness around my breathing speed. I also love that it gives you a summary at the end and tells you how many breaths per second. Highly recommend this! 20 minutes goes by in a flash! It’s really helped my anxiety and ability to center myself everyday!!

Amazing app
I never really give reviews, but i wholeheartedly recommend this app. I’ve been starting to get into meditation, but I’ve been struggling to get a routine going. I found this app and it’s been really easy to just go into a session before i go to bed. The way the music changes with your breathing really enhances and makes this a great tool for relaxing and meditation purposes or just to practice deep breathing. Not to mention the fact that it’s free. Thanks for this great resource!
