Some of you may still experience a glitch with restoring your purchases. I'm on the ball. Submitted a technical support request to Apple, contacted various people at Apple and hope that the problem will get resolved swiftly. For those of you who are curious: The exact error behind the scenes is "Cannot connect to iTunes Store", one of the most pesky ones because it is outside of my control. Of course, Thunderspace should give you a proper error message rather than failing silently. I shall get bitten by a baby rattlesnake for this oversight. Please bear with me =) A new version is now waiting for review, which will give you a more detailed error message in case it is still not resolved by then.

I've got more storms in the production pipeline and can see how the current user interface is reaching its limits. When I created Thunderspace in 2013, there were just six storms planned. Even though it's probably easier to catch a cockroach than it is to catch a great thunderstorm, the catalog kept growing. Gordon and I were lucky enough to catch a few more, which is great, because we can't ever get enough of them. I mean thunderstorms, not cockroaches.
Speaking of cockroaches though, they're fast, and I know that speed is a bottleneck. There are more than 1.500 thunderstorms every day around the world, and we barely manage to catch one or two really good ones in a year. This is why we began to expand the team to more nature sound recordists around the globe. I’m working on a concept for a low cost, long endurance, biomimetic outdoor microphone that anyone can place outside and just let it run for weeks until it captures a storm all on its own.
My vision for Thunderspace is to make it the most amazing thunderstorm platform in the world, with not just tens of storms but hundreds of them. Only the very best recordings will ever make it into Thunderspace. So, if you happen to be a nature sound recordist, and you happen to know how to record thunderstorms in stereoscopic 3D for headphones, please get in touch!

OMG I'm in a storm!!!
Wonderful storm and rain sound track. It really is the best sounding storm app I own. I love the ultra real, stereo sounds! I use this while working and find it helps me focus and ignore the noise around me The stereo storm sounds pull me into the storms. Simply better than other storm-sound apps. Its really hard to hear the looping as the tracks seem long enough. This makes it far more enjoyable and real. I know easy to spot looping is a problem for with other rain apps. The purchased sound additions are worth the money as they sound AMAZING! One thing I wish this app had was a way to overlap two storms (or general rain sound) that way each time I listen I would feel unique Love this app!

HEADPHONES ONLY!!! Doesn’t allow Bluetooth or Airplay through real audio equipment.
Headphones-only?!? How can any pair of headphones supposedly immerse you in thunder? You can’t feel thunder through headphones. This app does not let you play the audio through a full-blown audio system using Bluetooth or Airplay. Yet, it will fully rub your face in what you’re missing by playing the thunder through the microscopic speakers built-into the iPhone XS Max. What’s crazy is the fact that you can tell the audio recording is very high-quality, yet you only get to hear an energetically-neutered version of it through the pathetic internal phone speakers or the almost equally severe physical limitations of headphones. Even the best headphones won’t shake my house playing recorded thunder, no matter how good the recording is. The compression wave impact of thunder is completely absent if you’re listening through headphones. For others like me who prefer to immerse our entire body in high end sound, look elsewhere. This app isn’t for us. Hopefully this warning will save others from wasting their time and a couple bucks. The first sentence of the description really should really point out the headphones-only limitation of this app. Very disappointed but gave the app an extra star for the apparent quantity of the recording.

Changed my sleep
I’m not a neurologist but there is something about these soundscapes that puts me in a state of mind to fall asleep fast and hard. I look forward to listening to it all day.
I have a two year-old that loves to wake me and my wife up throughout the night. I just pop on my wireless headphones (which the app recognized it because it displays the warning about wearing headphones) and I fall asleep within 10 minutes.

I loved this app. The best, most relaxing sounds. My husband and I would play it almost every night to fall asleep to, and we recommended it to EVERYONE. I miss being able to use it so much. You see, when the app changed about 2 years ago, the developer failed to update it so it could still be played over Bluetooth or airplay...and we haven’t used it since. Its extremely sad that something was created that has helped a lot of people (according to the reviews) and it seems like now that the developer has our money, they aren't bothering to keep it updated.

Realistic ThunderStorm Recordings.
'ThunderSpace' has the most realistic Thunderstorm sounds out of All the relaxation apps that I’ve downloaded. I really like all of the different Thunderstorm options that I can listen & relax to on this app. I can be transported to the sounds of Thunderstorms: at the ocean shore, in a barn, in the wetlands, in a car on a road trip, etc. My favorite Thunderstorm to listen and relax to… is the deserts of Africa. If you like Thunderstorms… I highly recommend this relaxation app.

My Go To Relaxation App!
I just wanted to say this is one of my Top Favorite app! I can not count how many time I have fallen to sleep to the Most Amazing thunderstorms, running brooks and ocean recordings ever produced! Way too much to list. I purchased the largest package I could, which includes all new recordings and I have Not been disappointed! Be careful although I have been known to wake up to make sure the windows were all closed due to the realism. Absolutely The Best! Thank you for this awesome app!

Lifesaver in quarantine
I’m quarantined with my 4 wonderful and wonderfully noisy roommates and loud dog, working from home. I have noise cancelling headphones and they’re strange to wear without anything playing, usually listen to lo-fi or something, but sometimes even that’s just too distracting. These recordings are all top-notch and well worth the price, app is attractively designed and not annoying (no stupid pop-ups, pushy push alerts, etc.)

I would like to make a request! The “Halloween Night” sound that you added is a nice change of pace (for lack of better wording). It’s a nice bonus! I would love to see you do the same kind of thing but for a winter type soundscape. (Bells, wind, and a crackling fireplace, for example).

Updating my previous rating to 5 stars since the in-app purchase restoration bug was fixed. The developer apparently put a lot of time to work around an Apple bug to get this working again.
This is a fantastic app for ambient sounds. The sounds are by far the best quality out of any I’ve tried. Highly recommended!

Please add AirPlay/Bluetooth support
I've used this app for years and love the quality of the sounds and the interface. I've recently picked up an IKEA Symfonisk speaker and would love to pipe sound to it (I know the intended use is to use with headphones). For some reason, using the system-level AirPlay functions don't work, unlike most other sound-producing apps (still goes through the phone speakers). Can you look into allowing this in future versions?
