"Open PDF in…" allows you to send a timeline PDF to any application on your device that can handle a PDF. Here are two examples of how this may be useful:
1) If you want to navigate a 2D version of your timeline, you can "Open PDF in…" iBooks. Once it is in iBooks, you can use the standard pinch and swipe gestures to zoom and scan your timeline.
2) If you would like to share a PDF timeline but the file size is too large for an e-mail attachment then you can "Open PDF in…" to send it to the DropBox app.
Other improvements in this release include:
- Our PDF generation features now show a progress indicator and allow you to cancel if you don't want to wait.
- You can now follow us on a Twitter with a single tap from the About Us section.

Great app….except Share PDF doesn’t work….help!
Loving the app, but for some reason Share PDF works only for the Tutorial timeline and no others.
After spending $9.99 on all the export options, can you please fix the #1 export option ASAP??

Expected more from update
This app is great for doing an event presentations. However, I
had hoped for more with the update. There is still no easy way to synch this app with its desktop version. Also was hoping the app would take in a more 'timeline' feel with an actual timeline showing events on a horizontal line. Would have also liked the option of not showing photos. This app does allow you to take an image shot of your work again making it seem more for presentations.
If your timeline will be for show only and you need photos shown in a 3d view this app works fine but if you need a serious timeline then this is not the one.

This is an awesome product. I have used it at mediation many times with astounding success. Everyone in the room, no matter how manny pay close attention to the next slide that flips out 3D; easy to use; easy to incorporate media; just a wonderful product. I have it on my Macbook Pro and iPad. I have not seen anything on the market like this product. I stumbled across it and am hoping by this review that someone else has the good fortune that I have had in the discovery. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has to present material in front of a group. It helps tell the story, whatever that story may be. In my case it helps me visually tell my client's story. Invaluable.

Great implementation
I have been using the desktop version for a while and this iPad version is an impressive implementation on the iOS platform. Especially considering they were even able to design it to work on an iPhone screen size. Their comparison chart on their website does a great job showing how much of the desktop version they were able to implement in this first version. I eagerly await even more functional additions, but I think this version can stand on its own as a great app. I do recommend the desktop version as well, but this is a must have app for visually displaying linear or chronological timelines.

A first-rate application
I saw Adam Behringer's Twitter announcement of the new iOS version of Timeline 3D at 8:24 a.m., I began watching the video at roughly 8:25, and I purchased the app at 8:32. I have been using the BeeDoc timeline products since early 2008 and this iOS version is an especially innovative next step. I teach college courses and having Timeline 3D (literally) in hand is going to play well in the classroom. I gave the app a quick spin and I can say that Timeline 3D on my iPad makes a great first impression. It looks wonderful and it's easy to use. Adam is a meticulous developer and the time he has taken to bring this app to users is in evidence here; the "polish" and precision show.

Thoughtful and well designed
I started using this on my Mac but I wanted to give praise to the iOS version. While it is simpler, you can tell that time and effort went into making this really good at doing one thing really well and I appreciate that.
I like the ability to link events to a web page and the zoom function to see media attached to an event.
I'd like to see the ability to print out timelines onto more than just one page. I'd also like to see in-app purchases for more interesting themes.

Outstanding App
I've been a user of Timeline 3D on my Mac for some time. I have been looking forward to that terrific program being implemented for the iPad. Now that it has, I'm extremely pleased with the ease of use and the elegant manner with which the app works. I was able to assemble a timeline for a colleague in a matter of minutes which put his professionally-produced timeline to shame.
Congratulations to BeeDocs for a job well done. It truly is amazing at what it does--especially so considering the modest price point.

It's nice...
I hope this isn't the only way this app will ever be able to present the timeline... It is pretty and I plan to use it, but I think I would like some other options, perhaps a horizon style effect with zoom for greater detail would be nice in some situations. Just a few different styles to choose from.
It is still the best visual timeline app I have found to date... I was just hoping for a bit more. The price certainly implies that the developer thinks it is top of the line so maybe I am just expecting too much.

Strongest Timeline App out there.
This is a case where you get what you pay for. It makes gorgeous timelines. I haven't seen a Timeline app for iOS or the Mac that comes close. I'm impressed at how it works as a 1.0 version. Kudos to the developer. Here are some things I hope are being worked on:
1. 2D Timeline pinch, zoom, touch to edit. Many times I want to stay in the 2D view because it gives me a better overall view of how my timeline events work together in one concise visual. I like the 3D view - but the 2D view should be just as robust.
2. Dropbox sync. I'd like to work on the same timeline on my Mac, iphone, iPad without the current hassles of exporting via mail or iTunes.
These things shouldn't stop you from getting this app at this point. It's strong as it is and I hope it continues to improve.

Excellent, a well executed app
This is just what I was looking for. I'm not interested in the on screen presentation features as much as I am the ability to create PDFs. In a future release it would be nice to have the ability to add a user generated title and short explanation to appear on the background. I would also like to be able to specify the size of the resulting PDF page since in my use it is not for printing, but for reference on screen.
