Description

Tinnitus App by Cleanhearing is designed to relieve tinnitus symptoms by notching downloaded music files to the user's individual tinnitus frequency. Tinnitus can result from abnormal firing of neurons in regions of the brain, and research has shown that listening to notched music can address this neuronal hyperactivity to relieve tinnitus distress.

The user calculates or enters his/her tinnitus frequency using the frequency calculator, and saves it to the app. The app then removes or 'notches' this frequency from downloaded music files (except streaming services) that the user has added to the app library.

Users are recommended to listen to notched music tracks for around two hours per day. The app also offers relaxing music files and sound masking files for tinnitus relief.

The Tinnitus App by Cleanhearing can be used as a standalone notched music app, or in combination with Cleanhearing Sono medical device for an enhanced two-in-one tinnitus therapy.

Cleanhearing Tinnitus App is certified in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC for Medical Devices.

Ktyct,
Surprisingly Effective - worth trying
I download this program when looking for resources around tinnitus. I matched the dominant frequency of my tinnitus using the program, which for me is about 7100 Hz. My sensation of the tinnitus goes down substantially while playing music that is notched to that frequency. I wish Apple would add the capability to notch out frequencies to the AirPods Pro settings so that I could get the same relief when talking on the phone or listening to streamed music.
University's flame lamas2,
Happy to see this built as an app
Just read the paper on this approach and was going to build a program to do it on my own. Come to discover this app already made! Thank you for making this
Pollywumple,
Unable to adjust frequency
Slider button default position is close enough to “both sides” that it is difficult to select the slider. After selecting one side or the other I was still unable to move the slider. The plus and minus symbols did not help either.
Was this app ever tested on iPad?
