TonePad Pro is the easiest and coolest way to make music. Discover the inner musician in you. Create songs by simply touching the screen and seeing notes light up.
The Pro version is all the goodness of TonePad with the added ability to export wav, mp3 and ringtones. Email the ringtone to yourself or a friend. Add the attached ringtone file into your iTunes library on your computer and sync with your iPhone. The ringtone will then be selectable on the iPhone via Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.

Update pretty cool, but ruins old songs
The most recent update completely jumbled up my saved songs, and the scales work in different ways so they can’t be replicated. It’s nice to see a big update after so many years, but I hate to see all my old songs unplayable. If that could be fixed, the app would be an easy 5 stars. The one feature I still miss is the ability to add a color scheme to the notes; this was my favorite feature to use in the older versions. Thanks to the developer for keeping this app going, I’ve had it for over a decade now.

Exports was the only reason to upgrade from free and it doesn’t work right….
I wrote something on the free version that I liked and hit the export button and it said upgrade to Pro for that. Ok, fair enough. So I did…and Pro was not an upgrade of the fee version but a completely different app that didn’t carry my song over. Ok…annoying but fine…I guess I’ll just rebuild it on the Pro version. Did that. Went to export…and the exported version sounded NOTHING like what was in the app slowed down version with no delay etc. Maybe the speed is a conversion issue? Tried both wav and mp3. Still no good. It was only $0.99 but a complete waste of $0.99 and more than a little misleading. I can work around this, but really…come on guys. It’s a cute app…but you stole a buck from me.

I love the new update but...
I think the new updates and additions really make the program very usable. However I would really love to see a record button a play button and a stop or pause button implemented in your next update. As a composer that would be absolutely wonderful :-) Keep up the good work...

I’ve had this app on my phone for years, and love it. It’s great for self-soothing and calming, or playing around with sound.
It’s so easy to use, and I love the save function, too.
The dev really delivers. This is a simple and entertaining app that’s stable and with a small footprint. It delivers quite an entertainment value at a very low price, too.

Most excellent update
Great it now works on my iPad Pro properly well done… Now if I could just set the song length length length and have an undo button that will be even better and if I could do simple four track recording or something like that that would be super great

I closed the app after saving my tones…. Only to find out they never saved at all…

Email doesn’t work
I like being able to make music but when I try to export the sound to email to myself as a ringtone there is no button to send the email. This seems like a broken feature. I’m using an iPhone 11.

Good app
Could use an update of change of tempo and noise or pitch. Also would be cool if you could make a longer beat. Fun to use, good over-all app. Wouldnt buy it though not much difference in the free version. The nosie can get a bit annoying, so I cant use it for long periods of time or ill get a headache. Please fix the download bug! I havent been able to download in weeks =(

free version is all you need
there's no point in buying this since the exporting butchers the sound entirely. when i export, it drops like an entire octave in pitch and slows down....... just play with the free version :) that one is good.

I love it! I love making loops that sound cool, then adding the same notes, but 4 spaces higher. It sounds really cool that way. I have an iPod touch, but I figured I could use a program to convert it to .wav, .ogg, .mp3, or .wma, then add it into my game making software, and there you go! Nice background music! ☺ I'd love if there were more note spaces where the ads were in the free version.
