SoundScaper is an experimental sound mini lab for creating unusual soundscapes, atmospheric textures, drones, glitches and noises based on circuit bending principles.
With this application you can easily experiment with creating new and unusual sounds from ordinary samples. For sound designers and those interested in creating ambient or experimental electronic music, with filtering and mixing of up to three oscillators, you can create excellent soundscapes, textures and drones for your music or for movie soundtrack or entertainment apps and games. With complete MIDI control this application is very comfortable and powerful instrument to use for real-time sound creation and live improvisation.
The oscillators, based on simulating schematics of actual 8 bit lofi sound playback chips, have circuit bending like controls that are ideal for making glitches, noises, crackles and granular sounds. Combined with the filtering and spatial mixing options, you can expand these sounds to deep and atmospheric textures. Finally you can add motion and continuous changes to your sounds via low frequency oscillators which can control the filter and mixer parameters.
The "Morphing scene" option gives you ability of smooth switching between scenes, applying multifunctional filters and changing oscillators parameters during morphing process. Using these features you can add a new dimension to the existing scenes varying them in the real time.

This update significantly expands functionality of oscillators which are the basis of sound generation in SoundScaper. With new oscillators you can experiment mangling the samples by using amplitude and frequency modulations, adding a natural dynamical noise and simulate any other failures by using degradation and unstable work of electronic circuits. Extremely cool and powerful once you UNDERSTAND it
It’s esoteric in design and you will need to understand how it works. At first it’s like “does this just make wind sounds?” No, load up the various demos and learn how to use it.
I am using this to generate wild background sounds for my electronic music project. It’s like it was tailor made to do that, and in a way it’s genius. If you’re not going to learn it, don’t get it.

Mind Blowing!!
The amount of things one can do with this app will twist your brain! Super powerful, super complex at times! However deep one wants to dig and explore is only limited by ones own creativity. I still haven’t master this app, but it is so much fun and twisted! I own FieldScaper as well! This developer has put out some top notch stuff!!

The possibilities with this app seem endless. I've tried dozens and dozens of sound makers, synths, sequencers, etc - they all felt like variations on the same set of features. This is the first app I've tried that really made new sounds in new ways.

Been waiting to play with this and it's very very cool. The only thing that can make this better is a little internal sampling utility to capture sounds right in instead of importing. Great Software!! Buy it.

Absolutely amazing and much needed advance for iOS sound texturing
For a long while now Borderlands Granular has been one of my favorite sonic texture tools but due to certain limitations a real advance in that realm has been overdue. It has, however, been worth the wait for this one. I am well familiar with the series of apps from iMusicalbum and can attest to the richness and quality of sound compared to others like them. A highly configurable interface and a bit challenging but this is very refreshing after 1000+ music apps; most are variations on a few different ideas with very few taking advantage of the touch screen interface or putting any real imagination into their work. Hats off to this one for stepping it up!

So happy to stumble upon this new release. Altispace is such a quality reverb, I immediately purchased it.
After an hour of experiments with my own samples, the app is technically solid (run through multi-chain audiobus channels out to Cubasis and DAW, both with no problems; IAA was smooth as well [iPad Air 1, latency 256 only due to the hog that is TeraSynth]).
The app title says it all. If you're in any way interested in creating soundscapes, this is easy to pick up and instantly achieve interesting results (thanks random buttons!). A single bass drum sample and gated synth chord got me a great eerie drone with a train-like chug. Very easy to get lost in but still come out on the other side with usable material. As highly recommended as the developers' other apps.
