Fun Game, Just BE CAREFUL
I’ve been playing this series for a while now and I really enjoy it. Both of the first two games were great, so I figured I would give the third a go. The degree of difficulty is much higher than the first two, especially because I was not interested in making in-app purchases. Seemed like enemy difficulty increased periodically even after using hour glass to reduce boss levels. Anyways, I had completed 3 of the endings (hoping to acquire them all) but accidentally answered a question wrong with an encounter and died immediately, losing everything even though I had 7 life potions! Frustrating to say the least. Really liked this game, just be very careful to not die and to answer questions correctly or you will be very irritated with the results.
Also, NPCs are a nice touch but there are a couple I never figured out what to do with. Not sure if this is the result of glitches/bugs but I was a little confused with a few NPCs (monkey vendor/powderpuff girls, robot refugees, old woman in slums, among others).
Great game overall, going to start over and get to the fourth here soon!

Fan of the series
I liked the first game way back in the day. ToF 2 steps things up in a lot of ways. I like the mechanics of 2 a lot. It’s straightforward, but added new challenges and ways to level up, and to advance- plus a lot more endings. I’ve been playing 3 for a couple days now and it’s a huge leap forward in the same way as 1 to 2. There are WAY more encounters, there are factions now, navigating the world is far less linear. This game is huge. It’s fairly annoying to navigate around though, because you have to tap through repetitive messages constantly when going room to room. But all in all I’m enjoying the game, and it seems like it will take a LONG time to play through it, which is exactly what I want from it.
If you like a game that makes you grind, then this is well worth it. Be cautious, especially early on. Don’t spend real money on gold until you’re sure you know what the game is about, or you may be disappointed and angry. You can and will lose equipment. That’s always been a staple of the series. But if you keep that in mind, the writing is enjoyable and the whole series is satisfying.

Just don't die
Be careful at first, farm exp on the first stage (prison) without beating the final boss (Warden) until you're WAY overpowered and have a few life potions on hand. Then start playing for real.
I learned my lesson early, when I decided to check out the zero dimension and died... losing a VIP Pass that was a random drop among other good stuff. After that I didn't move on from the prison until I was level 20 with a couple pieces of champion armor, flame tongue, 3k gold, slum unlocked (not entered), 3 life potions etc. ...which is right now.

Big fan of the series
Played the first 2 bought the bundle plan on trying the 4th after finishing this one. Be wary the game does have permadeath if you die you lose your items and start fresh gold stays run to run though. Stay in the prison as long as possible, visit the burning stake and mercy kill the prisoner once a day, you can get VIP passes for free, and do not kill the beast in the skull gate on floor 1 to obtain an ally. There’s really no reason to spend real dollars on the game after the initial purchase. If anything an excess of gold before your character is properly leveled tricks you into a false sense of confidence in your character and will lead you into an early grave.

So game was pretty fun nice little adventure so I decided I'll dump some money in to get ahead spent about 50 (my money I'll do what I want) to get a whole bunch of good upgraded gear only to discover it's all taken away if you die you lose EVERYTHING all that gear all your potions your VIP ticket your craftables are taken away with no way to get them back putting you back to the bottom like you're just starting the game again all you get is your gold after paying for this game and then paying even more for some extras this is what you get for dying which is really easy I must mention half the npcs you encounter are out for blood the other half want a large amount of money for the most mundane things definitely not going to continue playing this I was super sold at first now not at all

Really consistent
I've been a player of ToF since the first on and I love the development from then until now. The only thing I do not like is that I can't listen to my own music while playing. I mean I can start listening to my own music but as soon as I go into a new scene my song get cancelled. Which is very frustrating. Other than that love it. I like the new combat and equipment system. And there are tons of secrets and side missions! Good job, game stew! Please resolve that issue!

ToF forever! I love a simple slot rpg tbh
Like ToF is the only game i can find in the genre tbh. It’s interesting due to the fact that you have to balance your respins with your health and rewards. That’s honestly enough to keep me hooked, and i’ve played through 1 and 2 completely. 3 seems like it has more ends, and i’m trying to get all of them currently. I’ve been an on and off fan of the series for about 6 years, but i’m still really hoping for a ToF4 tbh

I hate that I love it so much
This game is as nasty as a gambling addiction, because it is a gambling addiction. When you are on top you feel bullet proof and you wanna push that luck a little further, then you lose it all again and again till you are deep in a hole, but on the bright side no one will come shoot you in the knees for losing their money!

Fun but few major complaints
First of all game is paid and yet there are in app purchases that are not retained from play through to play through. I bought VIP room pass with gold I got from in app purchase and lost it post death. Gold does not regenerate after death. Kind of a ripoff.
Make in app purchases restorable. Otherwise it is just greedy. This game is basically a gambling business for you guys. I wonder if you pay appropriate taxes for your slot machine casino, because that’s what it is, if purchases are not restorable.

Fantastic and Hooked!
I must say, this game is beautiful stylistically. It’s simplistic, yet exquisite.
As for the mechanics, they’re very straightforward yet so abstract. But don’t be fooled- there is more than one way to play this game. You can spin randomly.. but is there a better way? I’ll leave that for you all to figure out! :)
