#TrailsRoc, the Rochester, New York Trail Running Club, was born on an idea and a dream. “How is it possible that the Rochester and Finger Lakes Region has such world class trail running and yet…there’s no website collecting all the information in one place and promoting trail running?” trailsroc.org was created, and now we offer maps of all these great trails in the palm of your hand.

#TrailsRoc offers maps of over 200 miles of trails in the region. You can browse and navigate in real time, while enjoying the beauty of the trails without the worry of referring to that hard copy of the map.

Know a good trail that is not in our database? Send us your GPX data and allow others to share that trail with you. Email [email protected] with your feedback or GPX files.

# This version requires iOS 13 or iPadOS 13
# Fixes a bug that prevented map data from loading and app menus from appearing, especially for new installs. Sorry about that!
# Fixes some bugs with handling links shared through Facebook and some other sites/apps
# New map data! Harris Whalen Park in Penfield, the Fairy House Trail in Black Creek, and some other minor changes

# Better units and labels for distances and lengths
# 3D touch menu: Touch and hold on the #TrailsRoc app icon on your home screen for quick access to a shortcut menu

Important bug fix: iOS 7 users should no longer see crashes after installing the app.

We’ve got Webster covered: thanks to Friends of Webster Trails, #TrailsRoc now includes 25 miles of additional trails. Included are the Whiting Road and Gosnell Big Woods preserves, the Hojack and Route 104 trails, and many other area parks and trails.

It’s hunting season: stay informed about hunting and other winter trail conditions with the new Advisories feature. Where applicable, advisories for hunting and other trail conditions/hazards/closures are shown on the map using tinted icons, shaded park areas, and dashed trail paths. Tap on park or trail icons in the app to see summary info about advisories, and read more information about advisories from the icon’s menu or from the main Links menu.

Other changes in 1.2:

• New “@” links menu with access to events and group runs
• Moves the map display control to the bottom right of the map view
• Changes the display of park borders for improved clarity
• Reduces the prominence of minor parks and locations when zoomed out
• Performance improvements. The app should feel “Swifter” ;-)

Abbymae10,
Fabulous
This is the best trails map. It is highly detailed and very accurate, even at parks with many trails. The maps are clear and nicely set up. I love the interactive features with parking, trail heads, & points of interest. I want this app to extend to other counties.... like Ontario and Wayne. It’s absolutely fabulous. A must get if you enjoy the trails in this area. Download now!
floppyop,
Great app!
Great local trails app with stellar service. I emailed a concern to tech support and my issue was addressed within a couple of hours. I’m excited to explore more of the trails on these maps.
Christopher3k,
Great trail info, but please bring back satellite base maps.
This app probably has the best collection trails to explore in the Rochester area! I like the standard base map in this update (version 2.0) better than the standard road map in the previous version, but I already miss the satellite view which doesn’t appear to be available after this update.
ChrisOdrz,
Love The App, YAY for Satellite View Go?
I love this app and use it quite often when I’m out Geocaching. A must have for all hikers. Thanks for adding the sat maps back!
Dckhrbsn,
Create a layer in Gaia gps
It would be great to have these maps included in the many maps already available on Gaia gps. That way a layer over a rod map could be used for precise directions to parking lots or trails. An export function could be useful as welllo.
Mendon ponds,
Mendon ponds
Finally the trails make sense to me.
AllWeatherWalker,
Very helpful!
Excellent for finding your way on trails already mapped.
Mary yourfarts,
Useless junk
Crashes constantly and the content is inaccurate and incomplete.
New to trail running,
Brilliant
Fantastic app. Intuitive, simple controls make using it mid-run easy. Definitely makes it harder to get lost on trails.
Sgt Satch,
Very cool app
Love using this now that we can actually get outside and do something. Well done.
