The most track-tacular, biggest update ever!

Introducing the Platinum Express! The new Platinum Tracks are twice as fast as old wooden ones, and they've got the freedom to go anywhere - bridge over water, tunnel through mountains, plough across plains... you name it, they'll take you there. They're so shiny, you'll need sunglasses just to look at them!

We're also rolling out a new levelling system, called ""Rail Repute"". The more you play, the better your reputation gets, and the better your tiles become. It's like a frequent flyer program, but for Train Conductors!

Add three new stops on your Euro tour: Rome, Meteora, and Cappadocia. We're going so far east, we're practically in Asia!

With Platinum tiles you can unlock a 9th cargo slot in your ports! More cargo, more coins, more cha-ching! And we've added a new port in Bucharest. Because, why not?

Here's the express summary of Update #21:
- Platinum Tracks: They're fast, they're shiny, they're smashing through the mountains!
- Rail Repute: Play more, get better tiles. Simple!

+ Find out the colour of an incoming train ahead of time! Warning lights now flash the colour of the incoming train.
+ New numbering system for updates. We dropped the preceding '1.' that was superfluous and now it's clearer that we're up to the 16th major update of the game since March 2016. Many more to come!
+ Undo flashes only when you're about to lose something important, either a 'One Chance Only' objective, or lose a container.
+ Never accidentally dismiss a container again when you should have pressed 'Undo' - PHEW. If you've got a container at risk in the Undo screen the X will flash.
+ iPad Pro 3rd Gen defaults to highest possible graphic quality.
+ Showing 'Best Ever' attempt at unlocking higher difficulties.
+ Refined Star and Cargo pages on the Score Screen.
+ XP bar starts at 0 coins by default.
+ Trains don't get impatient in Normal difficulty anymore.
+ Map button flashes if you've got a container coming your way!
+ Tile shop appears after connecting Rotterdam now. First Special Offer after Amsterdam. Undo crashes is available from the same point.
+ Revised the tiles that new players get during the first tutorial, and more tutorial revisions cause we can't seem to leave the early tutorials alone.

Plus all the features introduced in previous 1.16 updates:
- Customise your Dark Theme settings. Go Dark sometimes, always, on a schedule, when your system does, or roll with the game’s natural flow.
- More control over cloud saving.
- Reset the game and start again (only if you really really want to).
- Korean translations.

Bug fixing update right here! We fixed, mended and squished until we were all tweaked out.
- Fixed an issue where you could get stuck if you hurried a train on the map during a tutorial.
- Fixed an issue with Parental purchases not coming thru to the kids device in certain situations. Nice parents. Naughty bug.
- Fixed an issue with stars not appearing on trains after a cloud sync to a new device.
- Fixed an issue where you might have to replay the first tutorial if you quit at the right (or wrong?) moment.
- Fixed an issue where an earnt (earned?) container could get lost.
- Fixed an issue where the tutorial could give you a different set of tiles.
- Fixed a rare but possible crash in early rounds. It wouldn't have been your fault. It was ours. They all are.
- Improved some missing or incorrect translations.
- Fixed several UI layout and alignment issues.
- Wow. What a busy week!

Here's all the other major features introduced in 1.16:
- Customise your Dark Theme settings. Go Dark sometimes, always, on a schedule, when your system does, or roll with the game’s natural flow.
- More control over cloud saving.
- Reset the game and start again (only if you really really want to).
- Korean translations.

Customize your Dark Theme settings. Go Dark sometimes, always, on a schedule, when your system does, or roll with the game’s natural flow.

Other minor tweaks in 1.16.2:
- 'Undo' now counts all cleared up trains as delivered! So you can complete “Deliver all successfully” objectives with an Undo.
- You are now protected from system functions swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen whilst placing tiles.
- Added a tutorial to explain 100% stars.
- Fixed an issue where tiles could get stuck floating in mid-air.
- Fixed crashing issue in Korean language.
- Fixed an error that could occur in the Tile Shop.
- Fixed issue where you could get stuck in the Pause menu during the early tutorials.
- Fixed issue where the Objective row wouldn’t explain the difficulty required properly.
- Fixed some cities displaying the incorrect names in Chinese.
- Fixed an issue where the music would not start playing immediately when increasing music volume if music was muted when the game loaded.

And the major features introduced in 1.16 were:
- More control over cloud saving.
- Reset the game and start again (only if you really really want to).
- Add Korean translations!

Hot-fix for 1.16: the game would crash if your device name or Game Center username included an emoji.

1.16 Update:
We've significantly overhauled our underlying technology for data management and cloud saving. This work provides a better foundation for future updates and all the excellent new features in the coming years! However, for many of you, it will be an invisible update.

+ You can now restart the game and play from the start all over again! Not for the faint of heart; all progress and tile purchases are lost forever. To reset: delete the game on every device you use and reinstall, then select 'Start New Game' on the new welcome screen. At some later point, the game will find your old Save-Game on the cloud and ask if you want to merge the new Save-Game with the former Save-Game? Don't merge, instead discard the other Save-Game and keep the new one. After this screen, you can safely reinstall on other devices and choose 'Load Game'. Yes, it takes a few steps and is a little convoluted, but it's an intentional design choice so that it never happens accidentally!
+ Completely overhauled the cloud saving features of the game. You can now play on multiple devices, and your progress reliably moves between them.
+ Translated the game for Korean players! We sat down with a Korean player and translated by hand, line-by-line.
+ Made tiles more distinctly coloured so that there's less confusion about which one you received.
+ Added Game Center sign-in status to the settings screen.
+ Selecting the correct track in Bruges is easier.
+ More improvements for portrait view.
+ Tweaked the early tutorials, again.
+ Fixed a couple localisation issues.
+ Fixed a few blurry fonts on iPad Pro 3rd gen.
+ Fixed a couple colour palette issues since Dark Mode was introduced.
+ Fixed tracks in Amsterdam, Bernina, Belfast, Matterhorn, Bruges, Verdon.
+ Fixed the issue where a cloud restore could mistakenly enable the 'Oops I'll clean that up for you' state.

New night graphics for 'Dark Mode' + iPad OS 'Split-View' and 'Slide Over'.

Train Conductor has always had a full day / night schedule, as you are well aware I'm sure. With the introduction of system-wide Dark Mode in iOS 13 we have given the world a completely re-imagined night time aesthetic, one that lets the colourful sharp details stand out, but be easy on the eyes and just as fun to play, all while maintaining the gorgeous look of the game. It has been no easy feet, and the results are one we are very proud of.

Trains shine their headlights to light the way. The cover of night casts a gorgeous blue hue across the game making it easy on the eyes whenever you play. The entire user interface and set of menus has received a separate palette of colours for night. Now you might think that's a lot of changes, and it is, but we haven't changed the beloved five hour day / night cycle Train Conductor has always had. What has changed is that you can now keep the night party alive as long as you like by activating the system-level Dark Mode, which casts a night shade across the world of Train Conductor for as long as you like.

Now, finally you can now build your ultimate railway by day, or night!

Also;
- iPhone X uses the full screen width in each city!

- Respond to notifications and get taken directly to the appropriate place in the game!

Reggiedatank,
Good game but needs updates. READ THIS REVIEW PLZ 😉
This game is good, but some things can be done to make it better. and the train styles are really cool. Although I think that there should be a city from America, like Chicago, or New York. Also, my least favorite map is Paris because is is hard to control all the trains on that map since there is a big round-a-bout. Lastly, on the last picture of the game when you get into the game says “customize your look.” That picture shows different colored trains, such as orange. This train should be in the picture because you cannot change the color of your trains. Also, if you play this game in Wi-Fi there are way too many adds. Every time I finish a round I get an add for invisiline!!

Great game, poorly-balanced progression
I really enjoy enjoy this game, it’s fun and actually very challenging on higher difficulties. But, that said, it is extremely difficult to progress in the game without buying rail packs. Because of the scarcity of new tracks, connecting to new cities is very difficult after the first few hours of playing. And special events that grant extra coins only occur a few times a day if you’re lucky. And because the coin limit to unlock a new track progressively increases, even those become unhelpful to speeding things up. Even once you get the track, there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to use it, because it’s completely random.
Devs, there are 4 corner pieces, and only 1 vertical straight piece, and 1 horizontal straight piece. That means you’ll get twice as many corner pieces that are harder to use than straight pieces. True random is not fair in this kind of system, and straight pieces NEED to be more common. The rate you GET pieces should also be greater, just a coin cap on the new rails would be fine, or at least a way to get the specific rails you need that *isn’t* paying for it. That is, unless, you like this because people will buy packs more often because they get NOTHING USEABLE.
extr4me,
Great game overall
Ever since I bought the ad remover it’s now a real game now, unplayable without it. The progression is slow but reasonable and a lot of content to unlock. I love the track design game on the world map, I wish there is a way to rotate a piece though, like if you have 4 identical pieces you can transform them into 1 with rotated direction. Or better yet, you can combine pieces into fork tracks if you 2 sets of 4. The grinder system is a bit too random and you don’t feel like you are in control.

Also I have a small complain about the star system, it’s cool and challenging and offers tons of replayability but it has absolutely no reward whatsoever, should gives me a crate of appropriate rarity upon finishing a level with full star, some levels are really hard and require many tries but no reward in the end feels like a bummer.

All in all a great 5$ game that will kill lots of my time, the core game is very smooth and interesting, just need a bit tweaking on the reward system.
T--Ditty,
New version doesn’t allow cities to be disconnected
I don’t submit many reviews. I’m sure the game is still fun for new players. But for me, the developers changed the nature of the game so dramatically that it’s become a silly waste of time. I had every city/town connected using iron tracks (the middle quality offering) but the changes to the game over the past two updates (I believe) require iron (the highest quality track piece). To obtain steel pieces quickly, I’d like to trade in iron pieces that currently connect cities but do not deliver any cargo to the port. I have 10s of wasted pieces because I cannot disconnect a city from a port. So I’m left to plunk along after having played hours to earn as many iron and steel tiles as I have, well it’s disappointing to say the least. Oh, I did like the change made where you could exchange five identical tiles for that same track piece but at one level above (e.g. trade in five horizontal iron pieces for one horizontal steel piece) but why make the player go thru the ridiculous graphic of the tile machine churning out the new tile. It’s a waste of everyone’s time.
SFBeachdog,
Expensive, if you want to finish the game
Don’t believe promises that eventually the randomization process will reward you with the tiles you need. I’ve been playing for months and I’m still waiting for my “bad luck” to change and be rewarded with a tile I need. The alternative is to buy expensive packs of track that have a lot of pieces you don’t need and one or two that you do. The game is fun, but at this point repetitive as I patiently wait to win or swap for those three pieces of alloy straight track I need to add one more city. Then it will likely be months before I’m “lucky” enough to randomly get the pieces I need to add the next city. One star for being fun but overly expensive. Not once have I ever received a tile I needed in a swap. Alloy horizontal tiles are something you must buy at outrageous prices to advance and even then you won’t be able to purchase enough to advance with a single package. This game is only about gouging you for needed pieces. I don’t buy games and expect to spend a fortune to advance. I’m guessing it will cost well over $100 just to add all the cities. The game is definitely not worth that kind of money.
Carter553,
I am sneaking in on the train station and operating them “ after hours” shhhhhhh
Every once a good while does a simple game attach attention and gain ground. I can stop playing these games and some days they are living headaches . But the continuum to create more business and complexity Is giving rise to a desire to charge on!!! I highly encourage to purchase the ad free ( 1 more chance ) option. It makes a lot of since .keep in mind that I don’t spend money on any tool unl as I know I might die

I’m
This last thing must be minitiined as a glitch. Many times I am try to press grap the track to get Lynda on board . Up on my Changing a train fom track 1 to 2) is probably the worse frustrantes. Te track I behh go king g fez ST so go foco constataci
Lisalisabol,
Used to love this game…
This was one of my favorite games. When they changed the track to add alloy and made the way to make the most money to have “keys” to unlock different lines in the ports, it made it lose some of the fun. I had maxed out all the ports but I still played to try and get all alloy track. Now I have over 75 pieces of alloy track I can’t use. I need the track that has more than one direction. I wish I could turn in 5 alloy track to pick the one specific piece of alloy track I need.

BUT the biggest issues right now are that I paired for AD free years ago and now every time I play I end up having to watch an ad. I click restore purchases and it says it did, however after a game or two an ad pops back up. It’s frustrating and makes me stop playing for a bit and I try again.

ALSO right now the free daily track tile with Watch an ad isn’t working. And the watch an ad to undo a wreck isn’t working either.
Tracked Menace,
Fun game which doesn't scale
I've enjoyed all the train conductor games. TC World is a promising game which does not scale. The individual train events are all across the board to the point of some requiring near simultaneous timing to complete. That is great fun & challenging.

The downside to those extreme challenges & timing is that some people, such as my father, who would enjoy the challenge of track laying, would never be able to do that. A "slow" mode, winnable by the more elderly would have many model railroad eras playing this game!

The true problem is that track segment delivery doesn't match the amount of time & effort you put into the game & the empire you create. I have thousands of unusable wooden tracks which I will never use. The tile trader is a waste of time making new track pieces. I would suggest iron tracks become the "given" track after some threshold, with the accompanying sprinkle of alloy tracks, and finally a mix of iron & alloy. This would make track laying much more fun.

Ps: add some way to make bridges (over pass) on land for high-lines to get over complex trackage & to create express routes!!!

Thanks for a great game!
BRng,
Alright... mostly.
So the game does a few things right. It is engaging, each level (or city, if you will) adds some novel quirk. Beautifully drawn, (mostly) fluid gameplay, nice concept for getting more pieces of track to introduce new cities.

So why the 2-star rating? They really overdo it with the advertising. Getting a “free” piece of track - a 30-second video. Fine, I get that. An “undo” - again, a video. Fine. But then at random points a video plays as well. Starting a level, opening track, whatever - every so often it just plays. Too much.

Well, I hear you say, so pay up! Yeah, the no-ads option is $4.99. And sorry, but this is just not a $5 game. It’s a nice game, don’t get me wrong. But considering that they’re selling you track (and bonus “objectives” as well), it’s just not worth that much. I’d have paid 0.99 or probably even $1.99 in a heartbeat and enjoyed the game a lot more. But even then it isn’t worth $5. Especially being buggy - the app often applies my tap to the wrong train, which is both further from where I touched and which it made no sense to move. All in all, just not worth $5 - but there are enough ads to make clear that they *really* want you to pay up.

Still a nice game. That I’m still playing it notwithstanding all of the above is something.
Moh0417,
Very nice game
I remember playing the first two games a while ago but when I saw that there was a third I had to download it and I have to say I was not disappointed. This game is extremely addicting and fun, but I do have one negative thing to say though, some of the levels are a bit too difficult. The main reason is either I am unable to get the stars to the stations or there is just an overflow of trains. Maybe if the time stopping was longer and the trains were a bit less, this would be much appreciated and one more thing I am not saying the game is bad or anything like that I am just saying some levels are a bit too difficult please take this into notice as I love playing your games and love everything about them! Thanks!
