Live video streaming is unreliable
I don’t know what’s going on with my UDR744HD system. The live video streaming view on the app only works with home WiFi, but not with cellular data. It used to work before, then intermittently and now rarely. I checked my cell data, and it’s working fine. I even did a speed test of my data, and it’s high speed. So I don’t know why the app is not working as it should. I deleted the app and reinstalled it fresh, but still no luck. It’s pointless to have an app to accompany the security system to check on the home at a distance away if it’s not working. And when I tried to seek help on the support page, I couldn’t find any articles about this issue. Disappointing. 😣

Used to give alerts
This old camera is okay, better ones out today. The app USED to give me alerts if someone or something came near the cameras which was a plus for the cameras, but for some reason it stopped giving alerts.
I deleted the app than reinstalled, made sure notifications were on and then rebooted the camera etc. Just does not want to give alerts anymore and the time it takes just to get a look at one camera takes forever to load on my phone.

Do not buy Uniden cameras
I have model UDR744 security cameras from Uniden that I purchased from BJ’s Wholesale Club about five years ago. It came with two cameras and a monitor and I purchased two additional cameras separately. Everything worked fine until about a year ago when I couldn’t see the cameras in the app. They work locally from home, just not over the internet. Contacted customer service who was useless. I will now be getting rid of these cameras and adding Ring models to go with my doorbell. Very disappointed that Uniden stopped updating the app. Stay away from this company. Customer service has gone downhill over the years. Another company that suffered from the Covid-19 pandemic. RIP Uniden!!!!

Unable to Play Back Video
Streaming can be laggy and unreliable, but currently I am unable to play back any recorded video - the time stamps appear in my “Events” tab, but when I click on a specific video file, a blank black screen appears, and the video never plays. This seems to defeat the purpose of a security system, does it not? This has been an issue for over a week, and there’s seems to be no end in sight.

This App is great!! I can see my front porch live from my smartphone, I can also hear & respond to visitors without going to my front door. The only thing I wish this app could do, is when the notification message is sent to your cell phone alerting you someone is in front of the camera it would show the person. But other then that, it’s a great app!

Update:: I can't help but feel uniden doesn't care about feedback provided or that their customers are satisfied. It is clear by their lack of fixing issue with the app.
This app has been frustrating from day 1. Now the recorded playback will not play any files. The live feed works fine. The FAQs in the app are worthless and do not see any other troubleshooting options. It has almost been a year since the app was updated for bugs.

June 2017- The new update works great for me! I can finally open the app in landscape mode without it crashing. Thanks!
Sept 2016-I've used this app to monitor our cameras for over a year. Today's update will allow the app to open but it crashes when selecting any camera.

What happen to this app?
I’ve been using this app for several years with no problems! Suddenly this week I get connection failed. My 7” monitor is working, cams are working. Everything appears to be in working order except this app has suddenly stopped. It’s pointless to have home security you can’t view when away. I guess I have no choice but to buy another Nest system and replace this one! 😡

So my cameras are still functioning but your app doesn’t seem to be working with it anymore no support at all. Are we just supposed to throw them away even though they function. I think it calls for a law suit for not holding your end of the deal. I purchased you keep it running by updating software.
