I love it. My favorite game.
Since I started playing this game, I haven’t played any other games. I naturally stopped playing League of Legends. I love this game a lot. I am playing this game with Uncharted Waters 4 music. I wish the publisher would make playing other Uncharted Waters music a purchase option.

Surprise, game is too generous for f2p!
I am a f2p player, so far I didn’t spend one cent in this game and I am currently lvl 51. I got tons of A rated char (over 20) and some S rated char(5 so far). You don’t even need to pay money for them. You can hire them using gold you earn in game. A char need like 10 million for 60% of chance each try, S char need 50 million for 40% of chance each try. If you keep building ship up to Tier 13, you will get 20 million in long distance 1-2 hrs trading profit. Ship building are completely free too, no real money involved. Blue gems are very easy to get as well. You put 25 million in each city to get 25 blue gem each week. I invested in 20 cities so far so now I get 500 blue gem each week. Red gem you earn by sell your excess material in auction house, I already got 5000 red gem and bought my first red gem S admiral. There are one free admiral, one admiral cost 100 million, and 3 admiral cost 5000 blue gem each. Not hard to get because game also shower you with blue gem each day.
Overall it is a very generous mmo game which you can transform your work into ducat(like gold), then into blue gem by investing or red gem by selling your stuff earned.
It does take a lot of time to play this game, but you see you build more powerful fleets, growing your mates, and get more valuable loot as you play. It is a very relaxing long term game. I enjoyed so much so I want to share with people on the fence.

Boring game
I was looking and still am looking for a game like Sid Meyer‘s Pirates. This isn’t it. The combat system is completely unrealistic and a waste of time. There is not much treasure for a game that talks about treasure. By treasure, I mean gold, silver, and gems. You win a battle for what? A few pieces of cargo? That‘s it. It is mostly a trading game, so be prepared to waste a lot of time sailing around to buy and sell things. You cannot customize your character. And the mates are historically mixed up from different time periods. William Shakespeare, Gutenberg and many others have nothing to do with the sea. Why are they mates? Like Mary Stuart, Queen of England would be traveling around on a ship as a mate. It’s stupid. It takes place in the 1560s, yet there are later period ships like a schooner. One good thing is you can play without spending a cent. But if you are looking for excitement, sea battles, pillaging, plundering, capturing cities, this is not the game for that. Also the graphics are very good, but I don‘t know what the point of having these little dolls running around as player characters. I gave it a shot for about two to three weeks and I have had enough.

A good successor to uncharted waters online
This game feels very much like Uncharted Waters Online although there are some differences. Of the differences the two negatives to me are that you cannot create your character, you run around town as your admiral. The second is land exploration. It’s just a random outcome after a button press.
Now for the positive. The graphics are quite nice. The world and towns are quite beautiful. Characters have a mobile aesthetic to them but they look fine.
I’ve been able to progress just fine without the need for any micro transactions. Nothing indicates to me that I’ll ever need to spend money.
Ship combat is much improved. There’s a strategic element to combat. Formation and ship selection matters. While low level battles are nothing to celebrate they do show where the system can go.
Town investment is a good cooperative element to the game justifying its online nature.
Overall the game is quite a lot of fun.

quite pleased of the multiple options for recruiting mates and ships.
the easy battles are quite easy, but I noticed auto battle can possibly cause a loss of a ship if you dont pay attention.
the towns are a good change of pace to mix up the ships just to get a feel of the port.
not sure how the “clans” work but I wonder if you can combine fleets in battle.

Could always be improved
It’s a stellar game with few glitches and bugs (for me) than most games and the never ending amount of things to do to stay busy and grow is exponential! I hate the fact that yes there are so many things to buy and if you decide to buy something it’s costing an arm and leg for cosmetic stuff my opinion rubbish should just have to progress through the game to get but whatever gotta pay the bills rights?

UWO nostalgic masterpiece
i luv uncharted waters online (uwo) and this game brings back those memories....way too go....i just wish landbattle was a bit more interactive like doing dungeons from churches and going out into explore from any port vs the item u need to use at sea but im ok i know it would add a lot more complexity in development

Well-Done Remake
Great remake of the SNES game, cleverly adapted for online mobile gaming. Original main quests seamlessly expanded, new playable characters, etc… Solid base in what was good about it 30 years ago, but fleshed out and upgraded. Not the anniversary remake I necessarily expected, but quite the pleasant surprise.

I’m definitely enjoying the game. And I would love to play it on my PS5. This was my all time favorite game growing up. I played it a ton on the SNES as a kid and a bunch on emulators as an adult. I have no doubt that there is a market for this on consoles. Please consider it!
