TNSmokey,
Gets worse and not better
It seems that over time the information gets more generic. Specifically in areas such as MOA. As pharmacists are a primary customer it would be good to have as much detailed information on the details as possible. New UI is not easy to navigate. Why did you make it use an extra keystroke to search? Previously one started typing and drug names popped up in a given database. Now you have to type and hit search then correct spelling then hit search again, rinse and repeat. Annoying. Beginning to think there are other options that are better although I’ve been using continuously for over 15 years now. 3 stars for content but would only give 1 star for UI.
seacreecher,
Update. Excellent information but poor design
Update: let me just say I HATE the new update. My biggest complaint is when selecting “jump” through different monograph shortcuts it automatically makes the “mono” the default selection. As if I’m going to remember Lexicomp’s monograph order to find things. No. I want the option of “alpha” the alphabetical monograph jump section to be my default. I would like the ability to change my default and I cannot. It’s a huge pain. Not only that but the mono menu is also not fully expanded and because of that it’s easy to miss sections if you don’t remember to press expand all EVERY SINGLE TIME. Your update blows. Made the app even worse.

The is perhaps one of the best drug references out there (content wise) HOWEVER it is extremely expensive and the software design is weak at best. It takes too long to navigate to find the exact information you want to know (endless scrolling though a ton of text). If it was formatted better it would be my go to app. This app needs a lot of work. Automatic updates for one thing. Please make it better it is 2016 and this app's poor design is lagging. If they used some of their money to hire software engineers that actually know what they are doing this app would be a lot more user friendly.
Clueless about birds,
Back to 5 stars
**revised** Developer published a fix to the update screen default. Everything is back up to speed and no more waiting for drug info if there is slow or no WiFi access. Thank you!

The newest version of the app defaults to the update screen. I can’t tell you how much I HATE this. If there is a poor signal or no WiFi access in a building, it is not possible to navigate away from the update page until the device has failed to make a connection. How embarrassing when a physician stops me in the hallway or calls and I can’t look up the information of concern. It just makes an angry physician who isn’t interested in waiting while I stare at my unresponsive screen. If I could keep the drug data in my head for instant recall, I wouldn’t need Lexicomp in my lab coat pocket at all times. Please change this!
kingofhilo19,
Latest update
Update: The latest update fixed my 2 problems

I wish this new update didn’t automatically check for updates when you open the app. I work in a place that doesn’t get reception or WiFi so I’m stuck on that update page for at least a minute until it fails to connect. I can’t navigate away from that update page when I don’t have reception.

Also when you search for a drug I wish it would show the drugs that begin with the letters you typed first. For example, if I search for a drug that begins with H, show the H drugs first. Don’t show me every single drug that has the letter H in it.
jmackay33,
Lexi Complete no longer available
It appears that Lexi Complete has been removed as an option. It used to be the go to gold standard for drug information that I have use for the last 14 years. The quality of the interface has decreased the time and now that Lexi comp complete is no longer an option, the quality of the reference material is probably worse than many other free apps that are just as good or better than a subscription. I would no longer recommend this product to anyone as a professional reference. It appears that Lexicomp was bought out by a larger parent company who attempts to monetize the information but the marketing team knows little to nothing about the products they own. If I was the CEO I would start firing people for such poor performance.
yikeszzzz,
Databases “expired” as soon as I got charged my subscription
As soon as I got charged for my monthly subscription the app stopped working. I tried deleting and redownloading and the databases say they’re expired. I got charged and now I can’t use this at work. Also it’s definitely not as user friendly as I’d like it to be for quick patient questions. I paid for nothing.
DU12PN,
Don’t waste your time.
My job deals with acutely ill patients in a hospital setting.
For years the ease of use and detailed information made this favorite resource and I used it almost daily.
For the past few years however each update has lessened the ease of access and made it more difficult to justify the price of purchase when compared to similar apps.
A few days ago I opened my LexiComp app and found a series of frustrating and confusing steps that needed to be taken before I could access the information I wanted.
Attempts to reach customer service were of no use.
I have requested a refund due to my inability to access the information I need in a timely manner but have yet to receive a response to my request.
Given the price I paid for this app the lack of response was frustrating to say the least.
As a hospital based provider I need accurate and quickly accessible information which no longer seems to be available from this developer.
Don’t waste your money or your time on this.
Minnyhe,
Took away 50% of content without explanation!
I have been a monthly (not a cheap subscription) for at least 3 years. Was great. 5 stars. Then, last month, no explanation and no discount or rebate, they took away at least 75% of content. Yes, mid-subscription they did update and just ripped me off without explanation. Not acceptable. Both 5 minute clinical consults vanished. Again, no apology, no explanation, just clicked on update, new terrible format, and content just taken away. Again, I paid for a product, got 75% of it taken away first week of monthly subscription with no explanation and sure as heck didn’t refund 75% of the subscription fee. Not cool.
WLDoc,
Feels like they stopped paying attention to the app
This used to be quite an amazing app. One of my favorite features was the ability to customize it via the “mono” arrangement of drug sections. However, the ability to edit/arrange this has been lost for over a year now and they keep saying “we’re working on it”! A shame-because it feels like such an easy fix to restore a function that was there before.
Otherwise, information is good and very useful. Just not as easily available as it could(or used to) be.
KPRX123,
Funky update function
I would recommend lexicomp to develop the app that allows users to update the content in the background without having interruptions to searching the drugs. Also, it would be nice to have the update on the content still happening in the background when users switch the screen to use a different app.
