USAT Membership Card Hack 1.4.1 + Redeem Codes

The reviews seemed harsh until I used the app. Great idea having your card on your phone. Poor implementation though. You have to login every time. You could store the login info in a password manager like 1Password but that seems to defeat the purpose.

This would have been a decent app back before Apple and Google wallets. This app should be replaced with a wallet compatible app.

I would say it’s easier to carry your member card or the key tag than use the app.

What’s the point of this app. The last thing I want to think about is what is my membership number to log in on race day to get a screen shot of my card.
Why don’t you make it like a frequent flyer card that can be stored in Apple wallet which is better than the alternative of producing more plastic to litter the planet with

Easy to login. Forgot my password and was sent an email immediately. Quick login and was able to access my card.

The app is worthless as it does not recognize my membership number or password. I literally cut and pasted the info after logging in directly on the website and it says there is no such member! I tried both my membership number and my log in name; neither are recognized.

Seems like a simple thing to just display the card. Mine didn’t even have correct (valid) expiration date so totally useless. I ended up just taking a screenshot from my phone’s browser.

I am entering my password. Won’t accept it. Have to logon every time. Website works but the app is awful.

How hard can it be for the app to remember the member number via the password keyring or whatever it is called in Apple land ? Heck, my bank app remembers it. My Netflix remembers it. Every app except this app .

“Here’s an app to rememer your Membership Number. You have to remember your Membership Number to login.” Come on USAT, a little thing called Face ID would solve this problem.

As others have mentioned, they changed the login to your 10 digit member ID. Ummm .... guess what, that is the reason I'm trying to log in, to retrieve and show that number that I WILL NEVER REMEMBER.

Add to that, if you do log in it displays your card in landscape while the phone is oriented in portrait. In other words, it's sideways. Easy to fix right? Just rotate your phone? Yeah, once you do that it goes all wonky and half your "card" is displayed in the lower left corner. Once that happens, you can't get the original image back even if you rotate your phone.

I'm fine with this app doing one thing. I don't expect much. But the one thing it's supposed to do (display your card) it fails at miserably. Therefore this app *literally* has no purpose.

Apple Passbook is made for membership cards like this. This app should be integrated with Passbook so the membership card is easily accessible along with all my other membership cards. It's crazy that there is no Passbook integration. It would be trivial to do so.

Also, email address and password are forgotten when the app is shut down (though not when minimized) with no option to save either. That's a hassle. This is my triathlon card, not my bank account.

It's nice to have an app vs maybe forgetting your tri card, but no thought has been put into the user experience. Pity. This could go from 2 to 5 star app with a few hours of coding.
