Guessohw,
Watching the truth is amazing! Also a life saving program
I’ve been using this app and watching that videos almost since it first started. I’ve got to say, seeing variations of crazy crap that actually takes place as opposed to what you see in commercials and movies. Just when I thought was only the Army that screwed up, this brought to light all the branches are screwed up! Lol.
On another note, after being medically retired out of the Army I felt like I lost my identity of who I had become and all that I had worked for. It seemed as if everything had come to an abrupt halt, from the deployments, the crazy crap that took place seemingly all the time, to the camaraderie that I experienced which was like nothing I had or will ever probably experience again. These feelings brought on severe depression to the point that I was in a bad place mentally and emotionally. Without going into great detail I can honestly say the videos and everything else within this app literally helped save my life. To read how many other military members, both current past and present felt the same way or had similar thoughts was eye-opening and showed me that I was not the only person Going through my situation. This app and videos within help you relate and also are informative at times giving you information if you’re having bad thoughts or need help. It’s Truly a blessing what these people have done and continue to do for our brothers and sisters in arms. Keep it up and bring on the laughs!
Drksinner,
Would recommend highly
Been batteling my demons for the last 17-18yrs and it’s been a struggle. But I’m still holding on and VetTV, especially the “let’s talk about the war series.” Kind of opened up my eyes. That I’m not the only one self destructing and hating everyone everything. My shrink years ago wouldn’t let me stay in group because I was too aggressive and confrontational, I was the only infantry guy.
The comedy shows, just brings back the funny memories, horseplay and shamtastic shenanigans.
Since 2019 I started closing off and turning inward, I talk to no one, I avoid leaving and going anywhere especially traveling long distance. I no longer talk to my family other than my mom, and my family is falling apart here at home, I have no friends nearby and most avoid me because I’m always cold and closed off. I’ve pushed the majority of people away from me and I’m on my last straw. I hope watching these shows sparks more want for healing, because I’m so tired of fighting, and the worst part, there are others worse off. but that hyper anxiety and sucking chest feeling the memories and pain is so overwhelming. Ugh. I’ll be a lifelong subscriber until Vet TV sells out, or I pass on to a better place.
AlicetheJacobyt,
I wanted to know what I was getting into
I’m a 23yo civilian currently in school for a psychiatric undergrad degree that I want continue into a masters or maybe even doctorates of psychology for the sake of becoming a therapist for veterans and police officers with PTSD. I have several friends in various branches of the armed forces and have lost a couple to mental health issues directly related to their time in the service. I know from experiencing my own trauma that it’s hard to accept help from someone who’s never been exposed to the kinds of hardships that you as a victim are faced with, or people who take their book knowledge too seriously. I plan on joining up as soon as I get my degree and finishing my education while enlisted.
Now, having gratuitously sucked my own dick, I’ve got to say- this is exactly what I was expecting and 10x better than I had hoped. Some of the jokes go over my head, and I don’t have a lot of time to invest in watching it, but I’m paying for the subscription if only because if supports the cause. I wish I had had this to share with my friend when he was in a rough patch after coming home. It’s probably saving lives. Y’all are awesome for what you’re doing, and I will continue to support. Keep up the good work!

From a soldier’s perspective
I understand if not everyone loves VetTV as much as I do, but before you criticize the service and the passion project that VetTV is to the creators, please consider the following: “It is a service made by veterans for veterans and if you hate it then you probably aren’t a veteran.”

If, however, you are a veteran and you do not like the service then it’s okay. Across my nearly 10 years of service I have met a plethora of people that come from various backgrounds and behave quite different from each other. There is no shame in not liking something that is targeted towards your particular group.

All of that being said, I love VetTV and it has gotten me through some rather painful raw dogging the Army likes to sling my way while on deployments. Between the over-the-top humor and incredibly relatable moments there is always something for me to watch and genuinely appreciate having watched. Keep up the great work!
Moe's input...,
This is the real deal...
Accept no substitutes. What civilians see on movies and TV is just an actor trying to be as awesome as Veterans, truth be told, even encountering us in person is simply an act...

Then, you turn on Vet TV, and you stop smiling and laughing with us, and start wondering what the (Eff) is wrong with us? All the while, we are laughing out (bums) off.

THIS is the real deal, to everyone else, we are honorable ambassadors to our nation. Between all of us, we are rude, crude, and have mastered over 10,000 ways to creatively use the ‘F’ word...and we are incredibly good at it. Welcome to reality, where inside that ECP is a land of wonder, imagination, and a bunch of disgruntled and hilarious sadists that would as soon dropkick someone down the barracks hall and drink, rather than tell them they’re good friends (cause that would be H-0-M-0 AF)

But, there is something positive under all this, brings awareness to veteran Suicide and other pressing issues, encouraging viewers to reach out to a buddy and help them laugh and remember when times were simpler, and maybe that laughter they have, even if it’s short, may keep them away from the edge, the demons that so many of us brought back with us and live with every day.

Much respect to the people behind the scenes that made this channel happen, they have a subscriber for life.
JTtheCanuck,
Best Entertainment Ever
So let me preface this by saying I’m a 19 year old civi that wants to join the military one day.

VetTv is the best streaming platform ever. Their content is pure gold. I love how it shows the real military without sugar coating anything so people like myself can really see what is basically the best, most real advertising the military can get. Everyone says that the military on the big screen is not like that in reality, but these guys show the real deal. Yes, it is messed up. Yes, it shows the negatives. However, it provides the most accurate depiction of what I want to one day want to do. Now I have no excuse for getting surprised by the inner workings of the military because the team at VetTv makes hilarious content that doubles as truthful content. They should show this in all high schools 😂. Overall, great entertainment while being informative.

Mad respect from Canada!
Graynor1495,
Most accurate interpretation of vet life
Whenever you see soldiers on tv or in movies they are portrayed like robotic dorks. Thank God VetTV got it right and there telling the real story of military life. 20% military bearing 80% savage is the best way to describe my 14 years military service. What makes vetTV so great is that the stories are so relatable, and shows how vets use humor to cope with the really tough situations there put in. As funny as the shows are, the real message of ptsd, veteran suicide, and supporting each other is always present. Watching and laughing at the episodes helped me as well as other vets I know deal with the internal demons we brought home with us. Thank you VetTV for all you’ve done to support us by keeping us laughing. Please never water down what you do, it’s perfect the way it is.
Ljohani,
Comedy Killers
alright listen here….and you better be standing at parade rest. We got us some jokers here that like to parody the military and the veteran experience and you would think they would be some soft Hollywood weak chin-having sumbi- err actors. But these guys just don’t kill the comedy game, we have some actual killers and warriors from all the branches coming to brighten your day or make you remember what life was like before that DD-214 fell on your lap. So do me a favor, grab your K-pot and put in some dip because these jokers got what you need to relive that crazy kooky stuff you went through now that you can’t see your toes anymore thanks to all that post-service beer binging. Thank you for your service, VET TV. And your recruiter too 😘
dj_photography,
Absolutely Love It!!!
This is an amazing app! It makes me laugh so hard it hurts! You’d have to experience the real thing to understand. but if you have, then this is the app for you, it’s perfect for a good laugh. The best way to add a chuckle to your day when you’re stuck in a waiting room or trying to ignore the family at thanksgiving dinner. Also takes me back to some of the best times and honestly makes me a little homesick. Be sure to use headphones in public places because people who don’t understand why this is funny to you may try to have you committed lol. This is my new favorite streaming app, hands down. Thank you for your creation and and keep up the awesome content.

Entertaining
I’m not a vet… 90% of my family members are, VET Tv has given me more of a glimpse into what they went through to help explain some of their “corks” it’s no doubt in my mind that all VET’s are dealing with some sort of PTSD from boot camp to war and being able to see some of the events portrayed gives me more of an understanding on why. Watching Recruiters Mission First hit me kinda hard and I reached out to my VET family but I wish I could do more for others. I by no means can relate but I can lend an ear without judging their past. I’m greatly appreciate and thank for all those who have served and I much rather have a conversation with one in struggle then to read about another suicide.
