FAQs
Q: Where can I find these stations online?
A: Each of the stations are run independently and have their own online presence. There are several online directories where you can find the stations featured in the app.

Q: Why does the music occasionally skip?
A: When songs are skipping, it is often because 1) that station's server has recently been reset or 2) the internet isn't filling the audio buffer fast enough. Usually these issues are resolved with faster internet, changing to a new station, or they resolve on their own after the server resets.

Q: Why are some stations blank at times?
A: Some of these stations are controlled by real DJs and if they aren't playing anything at the time or their site is down no music will play. Fortunately we have a variety of channels so you will always have a lot to choose from.

This music app... Absolute pwnage.

First off, let me begin by saying I am I hardcore retro and new-school gamer who enjoys playing Fallout 4 as much as I enjoy playing Chrono Trigger and Paper Mario (yes, the original 64 version).

This music app has something for every person who identifies them self as a gamer today. I frequently tune in when I am in need of some much sought after trips down childhood memory lane (as I grew up on the 90's) or even when I need a good pump-me-up fix (believe it or not, I lean a fitness lifestyle and am also a personal trainer).

This app does it all. The stations offer everything from the original Legend of Zelda, Super Mario and Metroid games to the newest games currently on the market. Heck, they even have current popular songs on some stations that often play on FM frequencies that we all tune into everyday.

If you're looking for a radio app that offers every commodity available (and yes, IT EVEN PLAYS WHEN IN THE BACKGROUND), this is the radio app to download. Download it... Yesterday. DO IT!

Thank you very very much for this app, I feel like I e been waiting almost half my life for a radio like this, this site makes me feel like I’m in the game world as well as the real world, in hine site I feel like I’m going back to the past but living in the present, games were meant to have fun, it I think games were meant to bring people together in a retrospect like sports, this is the only life in this world that has nothing to do with politics. It’s like being in the matrix without plugging yourself into it. When I was younger I used have music like this running in my head while I was sitting in school being bored. I have some of my old games and recorded the Bgm, I a cassette tape and relayed it on a cd recorder. It took a lot of time but it was worth it, never finished what I started but I know I can now, technology what will we think of next, if the end of the world ever comes I’ll have all my video game music reguardless whatever system it is, on back up, cd’s cassette and MP3 players, so thank your very much you’ve made my world shine a little brighter and my heart is fully filled like the legend of Zelda lol

The app that reads my mind

This app has given me endless hours of listening pleasure over the years. Some of the stations are really niche, and I love them for it.
The madnight radio station plays such an eclectic mix of tunes, it is almost a mirror of my own collection.
This app can deliver high quality versions of every kind of chip tune from old 8 and 16-bit video games, to orchestral arrangements from later 32-64-bit consoles, to PC game music like Warcraft and Portal, to modern remakes of classic video game songs, to anime, to country music, Motown, pop and disco, death metal, hard rock, etc., etc.

Great retro vg music app

*Edit- This app does not play in the background for iOS. Please correct this. If not, it is no longer a radio app. Utility lost.

First let me give credit to "aha" for being the first app to offer access to retro game music. But the bottom line is, this app is much better. It offers many more channels for retro game music than "aha" does, and it's lag free for the most part. If you love vg music, this app is hands down the best.

Love this music

I really enjoy video game music, from the ambient adventure sounds to the nostalgic classics. This app has a great selection of stations to meet that need. I listen to this app all the time. It's simple and works really well. Well done!

Also, I love the new update. Especially night mode.

Prett good radio app

I love video game and anime music so this app was perfect for me. An extra plus is that it actually shows the title of the songs as well, which isn't something you always get with free apps. This is a keeper for sure! I only took a star off since it will keep bugging you to leave a review until you do. Otherwise, it's a solid app!

Double thumbs up for the video game music

It was so worth the discovery of this app just because my favorite kind of music are those from video games. Listening to them really helps minimize my boredom.

Great!!!

Apple Music seems to have dropped SpriteLayer, which was the only thing I listened to. I went looking for an alternative and found this, which has SpriteLayer and many other great options! If you like video game music, this is a gem!

Glad to have it

Was sorely missing my video game music stations since Winamp died. Glad to see them all hear. App works great! Sometimes nice to use this over pandora as pandora usually has repeats too often.

Great app for Video Game fans

This is a great app for Video Game fans. I would like to see a possibility for those fans like myself to add stations. We do not have this option. I would like to see this added in a future release.
