Works good when it works but it loses connection often and the app needs to be updated. We updated our router and now it doesn’t work at all. Please make updates!!

I bought this camera a few years ago to check on my fur babies when I was out of town. It was fairly inexpensive especially for a few years ago. It is a pain at times to get it working again if it’s been awhile and unplugged. It can be frustrating to figure out. Sometimes it takes a few times to connect but the quality isn’t horrible. The night vision isn’t awful especially if there’s a little night light or something. It’s better Than nothing. I have been able to check my house from hundreds of miles away on the app.

Unfortunately, this camera loses connection constantly and doesn’t adapt to night vision and regular vision very well. I can have the nursery in the darkest of darks, but it still won’t go into night vision, which makes it super annoying and useless when you want to peek baby activity at night. Mind you, the camera is clear of reflections, etc...no infrared interference...just doesn’t work well. The sound is also terrible...there is a constant scratchy noise that plays. I had to get a baby monitor for sound and have just resorted to turning off the sound when the app is open. Super frustrating. Get a different camera. Save yourself the headache.

Bought this camera and setup was easy, however had to change internet modems and the problems started. Wouldn’t switch to new internet, have called support and still not able to resolve the problem. Camera has been reset and restarted numerous times, still not working. Waste of time and money DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. Won’t connect to IPhone or IPad had to buy another brand which works perfectly. I’ve even reset my new brand to see if I would have same experience. The new brand worked every time. Never again Vivitar.

No idea why but the app quit connecting to my camera unless I’m on my home WiFi network. It used to work just fine when I was away from home but not anymore; nothing has changed with my WiFi either - no router changes/updates. The app will no say the camera is disconnected or it’ll briefly show it’s connected before saying disconnected again. Pretty much worthless at this point since I do t need to monitor the camera when I’m at home!

Not for use when you want to use it... it has its own personality and rejects your use of it... often.

I paired my new camera (IPC 112) to the app but it only works if I’m around the camera. Tried checking the app from work (on Wi-Fi) never connects. Useless if I can’t view when I’m away from the camera.

It works pretty good sometimes but he keeps crashing but is this the only app for this camera? Is there any other apps?

Nope this is a waste of money. Doesn’t stay connected even without high powered internet. What’s the point of a security camera that is disconnected more times than it’s connected?

The cameras are poor quality... they lose picture sound is awful. Lose connection all the time. These are worthless
