Description

For people with ME/CFS. This app helps you to pace and stay within your energy envelope. Use your phone and watch to monitor your daily heart rate, steps and distance.

Integrated with HealthKit.

This app uses the Health app to monitor resting, average and maximum heart rates, heart rate variability, step count, walking distance and active energy.

Set your individual thresholds for nominal, caution, warning and critical levels. Keep an eye on your status on phone and watch. Add complications to your watch face to alert you when you cross thresholds.

Please note: currently at least one complication is required on the active watch face for background alerts. Alerts on the watch are not instantaneous - background checking occurs every few minutes during the day.

This is very helpful to set warnings for heart rate or steps. It’s good for teaching where your limits are so you know to stop and rest. There is a place where you can set your own thresholds for the limits. The only thing I wish is that you can reset it for heart rate. I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome along with the ME. My heart rate is very variable. I can hit the threshold and lay down and have my heart rate go back down. But later I will get up again and need the heart rate reset.

We hav needed this for so long
ME/CFS folx, I highly recommend. You can set and modify your own parameters. I wish it integrated with Oura ring, but I get around this by updating my Apple Health details from my Ours ring throughout the day. I am excited to see how this helps me better pace over time. Also a long hauler. I saw me/cfs and based off my symptoms with the POtS dysautomia and heart rate bp and activity energy wise this is me in a picture. I’m under tax so the a medical team and what testing do we need to send me to to help make sure this is the diagnosis and so we can figure out if the vaccine caused it. I am 36 former healthy athlete no medical bc except allergies to pollen and ragweed and took Claritin daily. I am RN and never had Covid to my knowledge if I did it was asymptotic. Got my booster 6 months ago and have been struggling with 100-149 hr up and down from lying to sitting and or any kind of activity weight loss but all muscle from what I guess was over exertion. I had chicken pox in kindergarten (91) mono in highschool (2003) htn and hr will both be up and once hits certain point get dizzy and have had syncope but now I know to lay down when the black tunnel is coming or see dots bc my ANS is going to kick in and bottom out my pressure. What testing labs and procedures & specialist do we need to go to? Any info will help and this app is a life saver. I will definitely pass it along for the others like us! ❤️❤️💪💪💪💪

Great start!
Huge potential here. ME/CFS, Dysautonomia, certain heart conditions… could be so beneficial to so many in slightly altered ways. The beauty is in the simplicity. While I have suggestions, umm this is currently free! And if updates & extras are in the future I think we’d be in for a worthwhile paid app. Anything to save those spoons :-)

First off, thank you for creating and sharing this. Logs & monitors for ME/CFS are pretty non existent on the App Store & we rely on them to function. Hopefully all the long Covid will create a slew of symptom & activity tracking logs, as well as alarms for us. Meanwhile a few notes…
Highlights:
Simple to use on phone or watch. If you don’t understand it, you may not be very familiar with ME/CFS. And developer clearly states it’s for use under medical supervision. Anyone who has had the 2day CPET done, similar testing, or follows recommendations regarding aerobic threshold with CFS should find it self explanatory. Can change thresholds on either device, bonus!
I’ve been using HeartWatch app as alarm, but it has long delay & doesn’t seem to always work. But so far app has been really fast reporting status changes quickly after Apple Watch records a heart rate above my threshold.
Needs work:
Ok, this is picky but the colors seem to change & are hard to tell apart. Sometimes yellow is orange. And the warning & critical reds seem almost identical. Critical flashes on watch, but would be nice to tell them apart. Also, next to each section where the “!” is placed would be easier if it was color coded. So you know if critical max heart rate, but caution for distance for example.
Also, would like a way to clear alerts. Ideally, option to clear each section independently. So when warned about heart rate, then take action to get it down. Clear alert so it will go back off heart rate is elevated again. That would help individual track how often & how much time is spent above a threshold.
Last, complications. Huge kudos again for having a watch app & any complications. And that work well. Would love additional ones for all the individual sections, like exist for active energy. It’s the heart I really need to monitor - a max heart rate would be very welcome. But the one with ME at least let’s me know at glance my overall zone which is pretty cool.
