Are you ready to ride Wattbike workouts (including custom Hub+ workouts) in the Hub while earning XP in Zwift or enjoying the scenery in Rouvy?

You can now ride in your favourite 3rd party app while using the Wattbike Hub’s unique pedalling technique and data insight on a second device!

In the Wattbike Hub version 6.2.0, we’ve added new beta firmware which introduces dual-channel Bluetooth connectivity for next generation Wattbike Atom.

Simply click on ‘Use Beta Firmware’ in the preferences screen, then connect to your Wattbike Atom and follow the on-screen prompts. Once the firmware is updated, you’ll be able to connect 2 devices via BLE – the last connected app/device will be in control. Check our Support pages for more details.

MonteOld,
Wattbike Atom
I got the Atom a few months back. I wasn’t doing cycling training at the time, but I did intend on incorporating it. I like the smooth and dependable increase in resistance with the App and the bike. It is easy to adjust (considering you are provided with the necessary tools to do the adjustment). I am a bigger rider at almost 95kg and the seat is very important to me. My last stationary bike broke the clamp and that was unnerving (but nothing compare to going through the turn at speed on the velodrome and having your seat attitude go south!).
Anyway, good job to the makers of Wattbike.
Now can you make
Me produce power like Sir Chris Hoy…
cyclone72,
Great app with some usability quirks
The app has been working great for me. My only complaints are the size of the in-app shifter buttons, which are these tiny triangles inside big boxes. Whenever I try to tap onto the triangles I seem to miss and the gears don’t change. Why can’t the full box simply react on touch input?
Switching back and forth between apps has been working fine for me - at least on my iPhone/iPad. When I start a ride and click onto the “play” button I sometimes get my bike ID displayed. Then I have to go back and do the same thing again and it will start.
Holmz2,
ATOM REVIEW
There is a WATTBIKE in the work gym. It has been mostly broken for the last 2 years but finally got repaired.
It is regularly set for tall people and after past the “limit” for the bar height, and it creaks and flexes. The control loop for ERGO always has a lag to it, and the thing often shuts down part way through a workout session.
Maybe it is user error, but it is frustrating to get it to work consistently.
nonameabc12345,
Great app and it’s free (I.e., no subscription fees)
Really enjoyed using this with my atom. The only struggle is finding/pairing my heart rate monitor, which also sometimes drops in the middle of a ride.
Caledonianyank,
Awful experience from start to finish
I have had nothing but problem since getting Wattbike and using app. First bike had to be replaced entirely after calling engineer three times. Replacement bike worked briefly then again started glitching with bike not response gear changes. Customer service experience very disappointing log a ticket with 3rd party app and get an email response 3 to 5 days later with no capacity to speak to anyone. A very disappointing experience for a very expensive piece of equipment. Please don’t respond and ask me to end a ticket to Wattbike support.
mikeln1972,
Great app but can't use it
I am enjoying the app as I find it very useful while on the wattbike and it most certainly assists with my training.

My only complaint is that I can't select specific days I want to train when using the preset plans. I also do weight and other cardio training so I would like to follow the plans but would like to skip a few days between training.
Cdevilliers,
Ride not recorded 😠
I’m not sure if the update has something to do with what just happened but I was doing a ride and got a text message, went out of the wattbike app but not closing it and when I wanted to get back in othing was showing from my current ride. It shows on my bike but obviously it looks like I lost all I have done today.
kilomikesix,
Very close to being quite good
Interface and design is quite good, however the app tends to disconnect from the bike and lose the workout data. Probably 10 or 15% of the time i have issues with ride data loss. Works better on android. If you have issues really try to avoid switching out of the app while in ride mode.
NBrunke,
Unstable app
Reported before the app resets mid training and loose data.
App creators has the audacity to ask me to log a call… is it in my interest or theirs to improve the app?
I am definitely looking for an alternative!
LappiesRags,
Strava linking or app issue
I follow the instructions to link strava to watt bike but when I go into profile- scroll down- click on stava I get a white screen that freezes the app.
