WiFi View Hack 2.3 + Redeem Codes

So the App works, in that it connects the video scope to the IPhone, IPad! The scope is great, will be awesome if I can find a way to use a different App! Absolutely no instructions just play around until it works! The scope instructions work best here!
Once it’s working that’s about it, you can record video and take photos but they’re stuck in the app, unable to move, save, email, other than delete! Pretty worthless in that respect!
First bad App review for me ever had this one for 1 year!

The endoscope was given to me. Luckily still had instructions. The app does look primitive, but then again, the functionality is pretty simple. Downloaded the app and was connected instantly with no issues. Using iPhone XS Max. I have not experienced any of the issues that other reviewers experienced. Although, I did not attempt to connect to my WiFi. Not sure why anyone would need to. The Endoscope has its own Wi-Fi built into it. The instructions tell you to locate its Wi-Fi info in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings and use the password in the instructions. Worked like a charm. As for resolution, once connected to the scope, I could change the resolution to several different choices. Also, it does prompt you to connect to your phone’s photos. Any video and photos are copied there as well as in the app itself. Yes, you can’t edit or share from the app, but the photos are in your normal phones photos and you can share from there.

I read many of the reviews so was expecting the worse and figured the inspection endoscope would not work. It works quite well once you figure out the setup required. I am using an iPhone12. I used the instructions provided in the box. The only thing that was not specified was you must go into privacy settings and set WIFI View to have local network access. As soon as I did that, image popped up on the screen.

As for the quality of the app, it is definitely not a polished solution. Yea, it is kinda klunky… And yes the developer definitely doesn’t have English as their first language, but I figure their English is better than my Chinese…. As for the photos and videos, mine save to my iPhone photos and are accessible from there.

I gave it a 3 rating since it’s kinda hard to navigate the app but it is absolutely functional. I don’t expect a polished medical quality device for the $30 I paid for it.

Didn’t seem to work at first. App won’t accept special characters in ssid field. But, when typing special characters something entered for each one. To get device to work, delete and reinstall app. Device then identifies itself with a new WiFi ssid on the phone. Here you can see what characters were entered while trying to enter special characters in previous attempt at setup. Select new WiFi ssid on your phone and everything works. Not intuitive. Stumbled on this.

Hi folks, if you tried to change the wifi password and were unable to reconnect, here is how to recover. 1) Get a buspirate and an EEPROM clip adapter. 2) Google how to dump firmware using buspirate 3) Dump firmware using buspirate 4) Run the strings command against the extracted firmware, redirect the output to a text file, then look through the text file. you'll find the password in the file. Congrats, your endoscope is unbricked!

The user manual was obviously written by someone from China. For me, the major confusion was trying to connecting to my Wi-Fi. Instructions should have said: Go to your mobile device settings. Select Wi-Fi “Jetion_xxxxxxx” and enter the password indicated in the instruction guide. ( Yes, the small 1x3” device is the Wi-Fi). All the negative reviewers should ask for their money back…oh, that’s right, the app didn’t cost you anything.

Works, but app has a user interface that looks like programmed by a 5 year old.
Why is the confusing login screen even in this app when connection is controlled via the WiFi settings..??
I can change resolution but app always shows VGA (640x480), which was a standard 20 years ago; today it's at least XGA or 720p.
It's like this was a first prototype that was forgotten to be finished before release.

I was able to view the image only one time on my iPhone XS. The image lasted for five seconds and disappeared. Checked to make sure that the WiFi was still connected to the camera. Then tried again multiple times but failed. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Also cycled the device, but continued to fail. I attempted to use on my iPad, got it to work for a few seconds before I experienced the same thing.

The camera is now almost completely useless with my upgrade to an iPhone X. It appears that the app works, but you can’t use any other apps while it is running and you can’t minimize it. To add insult to injury, you have to power down the phone in order to kill the app. There is no way to minimize it or kill it once you start it on the X other than shutting the phone down. Terrible.

this app is great, but i have to save and email video i took with endoscope of some thing under a shed in back yard that turned out to be a possum. cant send video to my friend. anyone know how to save video on your iPhone
