Wiley Efficient Learning Hack 3.35.2 + Redeem Codes

In my experience in studying for CFA Levels 1 and 2, Wiley has been great. They give you many questions that you can do on your phone, which is very convenient. These help with high level concepts and nitty gritty calculations.

I think they have continually built out the platform which is even more impressive. Over the past year, they have added in flash cards, which are nice. Further, I can download lectures and play them on my car speakers while driving.

Only two recommendations I would have are 1) create a functionality for the lectures to have the ability to speed up (this is currently only available on a desktop) and 2) make the app able to be turned around when on an iPad (I say that because I have a keyboard on my iPad that naturally shifts the view into a horizontal mode, but can’t use it in this manner on my iPad). I am confident they will continue to make improvements, and the quality of the questions are unmatched.

So much more convenient and Efficient than whipping out a book and practicing problems and answering questions. In the palm of your hand you are able to get the practicing done as well as in depth solutions of why or why not you made a mistake. Best part is you know quickly where your weaknesses are! Each quiz can take roughly 10 min. Study during lunch break, between work sessions, while walking the dog, in the bathroom, at a boring party, while driving(its a joke calm down). But the downside is that I wish it would bring you to the particular reading/concept that you made a mistake on. It would be cool if you could compete with others and see how well you compare in terms of answering and questions correct. Please note: this is NOT a substitute for studying... because you are on your phone and you can easily open a game/app/etc... Keep that in mind. Other than that I am very impressed. Awesome job Wiley dev team!

I used this application to study for the CPA exam. Overall, I liked the simplicity of this application. I felt that it was easy to navigate and convenient for studying on the go. On this app, I used the electronic flash cards and occasionally the test bank. The flash cards were helpful and perfect for on the go studying. You can easily filter which flash cards to wanted to test. In addition, the flash cards on the app remove the need to order the paper flash cards. I also liked how many questions were in the test bank on the app. I didn’t use the lecture videos because they are better on the computer and less suitable for on-the-go.

I am using Wiley for the CPA exams. I do like that I can practice test questions from my phone whenever I have a few minutes. I can also access the lesson videos and some deep dive videos. The only thing I don’t like about the app vs the web based program are the question answer rationals. The explanations are so condescending, like they are specifically designed to make you feel like an idiot. Even those, however, are preferable to the rational of “this is wrong because another answer is correct” type rationales. They are either incredibly discouraging or unhelpful. I don’t have that issue with the web based application, the answer rationals in the full program are useful and provide the additional context needed. The app also doesn’t include the written study material which would be beneficial. All in all, the app is great for being able to practice test questions on the go, but it needs some work.

The most recent update was very welcome. The option to study the flash cards in bulk is really fantastic (I’m using CPAExcel).

Two places to improve -

1. Allow the ability to toggle between answer rationales when reviewing test bank quizzes. Right now, it stays static on the right or wrong answer with no ability to look at the reasoning for other answers. This limits the helpfulness of the review and I have to log in the online system to view the full range of rationales.

2. Allow users to view the videos at greater than 1x speed in the app, like the online platform.

Other than these points, I now spend over 75% of my study time in this app. Before the update I really wasn’t using it at all.

Regarding the review product overall, it would be nice to have predictive metrics. In other words, instead of just listing quiz results, it would be nice for metrics to say “these are your top lessons to review —“ or “these are your weakest areas ——“. With all the data that’s collected this should be easy. I’m surprised this feature is nonexistent on our era of predict analytics in almost everything we use. This would be more helpful than the study planner in my opinion.

Wiley/Sybex sec+ review/study book is a good resource but there is some information that goes outside the bounds of the exam objectives. This is a good and bad. On one hand, going outside the exam objectives takes you astray from what is meant to be understood to pass the exam, but it’s good for going beyond the exam and into career knowledge. The practice exams did not work for me as far as their wording. Some of the choices for the questions are too closely related to where there could hypothetically be more than one correct answer. Yes, it wants the best answer, but the way some of these questions are presented, the BEST answer too closely resembles the next best answer. Perhaps I misread some of the questions, but then again maybe not. All I know is I found better resources out there which worked in my case. This resource may work for you. GL.

This app is very user friendly and syncs well with your profile online. Makes it so easy to study when you might not have a lot of time too, but you can just pull out your phone and easily go through videos and study materials. The simplicity of the app and smooth functions are great for on the go studying. There are multiple different ways of studying even just in the mobile app which is so convenient to not have to pull out a large textbook and aimlessly flip through pages. The plan laid out in the app is stellar and really gets you on track.

The aim of the app is to help me pass the exam (CISSP) in my case. The on touch approach isn’t ideal. Sometimes I mistakenly touch an answer before am even done reading the question and bam. Am graded.

A submit button will help either at the end of each question set or after selecting an answer. Sometimes, I select a wrong choice in questions with multiple answers and i can’t undo it. Even the brutal CISSP allows takers change their mind fore they move into the next question.

The above aside, excellent app.

This app has been helpful in my studying for the CPA exam so far. The flash cards are helpful, and it provides an opportunity to study in the car, before bed, or anywhere on-the-go!

A couple of suggestions:
1) Add a way to sort questions based on if they are qualitative or quantitative. I find that oftentimes when I open the app to do a few quick questions, I do not have a paper and pen with me which is often something needed for qualitative questions.
2) When a user gets a multiple choice question wrong, allow them to click the correct answer to see the explanation. This is currently available online, but not in the app.

These are the best GMAT questions due to them being official from the test makers. I’ve used Kaplan, Veritas, and Manhattan and Wiley is by far the most accurate representation of actual test questions.

Instead of focusing on irrelevant grammar rules, Wiley focuses on content, comprehension, and understanding. The questions are designed to reward correct problem solving: difficult questions easily fall into whole, easily solvable numbers. Sentence correction creates logical progression, and parallel syntax.

Will exclusively use the official source from now on!!!
