We've made the ability to add channels to your Favorites list a little bit more straightforward and accessible. Instead of swiping, just tap the star icon next to a channel in the grid to add or remove that channel to your favorites. You can also edit this list from Settings -> Favorite Channels. Happy Favoriting!
3.6.2

- This release contains a few more accessibility fixes, including announcing titles of TV Series when using VoiceOver to navigate your list of recordings.
- Tapping a recording in the DVR manager now shows the details of that individual recording, rather than information about the show in general. (This is how it was always meant to work; we just got it wrong the first time.)

Don't like the sound that plays when you tune to a show? You can now turn this off in Settings > Sounds. We also fixed a few issues, including one where VoiceOver could read the wrong program name when scrolling through time in All Listings.

JUMPING TO CHANNELS IN THE TV LISTINGS GRID IS BACK! (We missed it, too.) You can find this functionality in the new Channel Finder at the top of the TV Listings grid. Search by channel number, call sign, or network name -- even enter a number that doesn't exist in your lineup, and we'll tell you which two channels are closest. Thank you for all the feedback about how you use the app, and keep it coming!

X1 customers! We've brought the voice control, directional (up, down, left, right) pad, and keypad features from the X1 Remote app over to TV Remote. Go ahead, ask your TV to watch a specific channel, find an actor or movie, get stats for your favorite player, and more. Whether you're searching by voice, navigating through menus on screen with the directional pad, or tuning by number, everything is designed with accessibility in mind. Tap the microphone button to get started!

This release is mostly about fixing a bunch of niggling bugs, but we've also done another major accessibility pass on the TV Listings grid. Please let us know how you like it (or where we need to do more work)!
3.0.1
2016-10-13
We just released a revamped TV Remote a couple weeks ago, and now we're back with a few more improvements. (We've also worked out -- and continue to hunt down -- a few server-side issues that have been affecting device lists and channel lineups. Those will continue to be resolved with service deployments and won't require an app update.) Updates to the app since 3.0.0:
The return of Kids, Sports, and Movies filters! You can find them -- and combine them -- with the HD, SAP, and CC filers in the Filter menu.
Record button label now properly changes to Cancel when you record a show. (If it's part of a series, it'll say Record Episode or Cancel Episode and give a series option when you tap.)
Watch on TV and Record buttons have moved to the top of the listing details on phones to make room for the full show description. Nobody likes a sentence that never...
Performance improvements around loading and scrolling, and a bunch of small bug fixes.

Welcome to the new TV Remote... which will probably feel pretty familiar, as it looks very much like the old TV Remote. A lot has changed in six years, however, so we've taken the opportunity to modernize both the services the app depends on and the user interface. We aimed to preserve, highlight, and improve the most commonly-used features of the app while trimming away no-longer-necessary or ancillary features. Here are some of the biggest changes:
- Favorite channels are now shared with your X1 set-top box instead of the web. If you already have favorites set up on your set-top box, you'll see them in the app when you filter TV Listings by Favorites. If you don't have X1, don't worry -- your favorites are still shared across all your mobile devices. Go to Settings > Favorite Channels to choose the channels you watch most often.
- Browsing On Demand is now more like the X1 set-top box experience -- even if you don't have X1. Navigate by network, dive into TV or Movie collections, and check out our new Kids tab.
- You can still search by program title, but now you can also search for networks, channels, and sports teams too.

Crash fixes for devices running iOS 9. We also restored the ability to tune to TV Listings and OnDemand content when not on the Comcast Recommended Lineup; please note that tuning results may be wacky if the lineup you've picked doesn't match what's on your TV!

Users selecting a channel lineup not matching the Comcast lineup associated with their account, will find that tuning to Channels, On Demand and DVR content is disabled. Switching to the recommended lineup will enable full tuning capabilities.
