Great game, but it could use a few improvements
I love this game! With a few improvements, I would rate it five stars instead of four. Here's what I don't like: A dice covers a score sometimes. When someone gets 2 Yatzy's, it doesn't change the Yatzy score to 150 from 50. When the final scores are tied, it says Player 2 wins. I would like to be able to put in my own name instead of being referred to as player 1 or player 2, and other people's names if I'm playing with another human instead of the computer. I would also like to be able to see cumulative scores across games, and I would like to be able to see the other player's score sheet when it's my turn, even if I have to toggle to it if there are more than two players.

What happened?!
Oh I had such a good review previously but this game has gone downhill since then. Sadly that was only 2 weeks ago.. What happened? 8.4 maybe? The disconnects are unreal lately, I have not been able to stay connected for 1 single multiplayer game. My boyfriend and I don't live in the same town and playing yatzy and farkle here together when we get a little downtime is one of go to things, but lately it's caused more frustration than anything else. Almost worst than disconnects we had a game going between us and at some point he and I were seeing very different rolls and scores for each other. Sadly we have lost all confidence in the game for now. 2 stars because playing the computer seems to still work fine, but without multiplayer the app has little value to me. I'm going to keep it around and hope we see another lovely post saying "the disconnects are fixed" which btw is kind of obnoxious to see when you're constantly getting disconnected ( I know that post is from November, it's just one of those things that makes a bad situation worse). If only…
This is such a fun game because there’s always someone to play. That being said, the game has been simply crashing lately which means you automatically lose. The biggest thing for me though is that there isn’t that much incentive too compete because as far as I know there are no leader boards, or anyway to check statistics against other players except when you see each person’s wins and losses when you play them. It would be a lot of fun if there were tournaments for instance where you would play a round robin of selected players to try to advance to the next level tournament as a weekly option. But short of that simply having a leaderboard based on winning percentage would be better than nothing. Yes it’s a game of chance and short of some people making dumb statistical choices, the playing field is pretty level even though I do agree that the days are loaded with some sort of tendencies which doesn’t bother me since I believe everyone is affected equally.

Fun, But Majorly Flawed
There are certain rolls that simply don't hold up mathematically with real life odds. For example, if your first roll has 2 of a kind, you have 2 rolls of 3 dice to get another of the same number. The odds should have it to where the majority of the time, you get a 3rd dice of the number. However, your chances are more like 1 in 3 on this game. I've also had several endings where I maybe needed 2 5's for example, and had sometimes 9 rolls to get it - and wouldn't. This is almost impossible and should be very rare, but it's happened over and over. To me it seems the game is not generating random rolls each time, but determines (for better or worse, depending) ahead of your roll what it will or will not give you. As another example, I've only played the game about 200 times. And I've had numerous games where either me or my opponent had 3 Yahtzees in one game. The odds of it happening even once is 217,000+ to 1. So, something is off with the "randomness".

BEST app of this game
This is SO much better than Yahtzee with Buddies. You have to actually play the game once it starts. The 30 second per move timer is the bomb. Games move swiftly and you can compliment others through chat (or disable it if you don't want to talk). You can win chips from each other and see your overall win/lose ratio. It gives you added satisfaction beyond winning each game. But you can also chose many other options of game play -with buddies and pass/play- as well. There are only a few adds for their other apps that you barely notice because they are presented for your convenience not your annoyance. This app has everything that makes playing a game on my tablet enjoyable. Job. Well. Done.

Love game, too many disconnects
I grew up loving this Yahtzee. When I found an online game that allowed me to compete against others worldwide, I loved it. However I can’t even enjoy a game much more as the disconnects is horrible. I could be in the middle of a game and then the game reboots, causing me to lose when I was winning. Or if someone who doesn’t play fairly decides to take upwards of 30 seconds per roll, the game reboots and allows them to win when they should have been blocked to start with. It’s so frustrating. I did write the one who developed this online game and he was very courteous when he responded. However he said the next upgrade to my Mac should fix the disconnects. Didn’t happen. The disconnects are bad and it seems this has been ongoing for years from reading the reviews. Too bad. I’ve enjoyed this game. Oh well!

This app has all the makings of a great game and with small improvements, it will be. It's simple to roll, hold, and score. The mild sound effects enhance rather than distract. And it adheres to most of the standard rules. This makes it a great distraction while waiting to pay for groceries.
Unfortunately, it goes wrong in several fun- reducing ways. First: unnecessary popups: the app doesn't require cellular data for single player nor Game Center for most functions, so remove those reminders. Further, don't insist that I review the app until I've played it a while, and even then, allow me to opt out.
Second, allow me to go back to see my opponent's score; that might affect my play. Similarly, at the end, allow me to review all the board; the final score isn't that interesting out of context. I'm fairly certain some Yahtzee bonuses aren't awarded, but it's hard to tell without seeing the final scratchpad. Similarly, the main menu is too long — should take fewer gestures to restart a game.
Finally, please include at least some stats; number of wins, average score should be easy enough, even if more interesting numbers might be possible.
I like the app's simple UI and old fashioned colors, although I'd also welcome a remodeling.

This is a game that helps pass the time from news, politics and other things that’s out there. This is one the games that I escape with, besides other games & puzzle apps that I have. This game isn’t boring, especially trying to get better scores for day, week etc.. The score I have, 417 is to hard to beat. To the developer of this game, the next time you update this app, I suggest that if a player has this high of a score and can’t beat, it should be erased by the player and start over. My wife enjoys this when we or I have to wait for something to be done for us, car maintenance, preparing food for us etc., thank you for this app for us and others that we compete with.

Dice rolls are rigged!
At the beginning game you get better dice rolls than at the end of the game. You almost always get what you want at the first part of the game but when you get to the last few dice rolls of the game you seldom get what you want. I know this for a fact for I have played this game literally thousands of times and it's very consistent as stated above. I'd really like to see a Yautzy game game played with the same odds just as though you were rolling the dice by hand all the way through the game. That truly is the only fair way to play the game and truly develop your skill. Otherwise I do enjoy playing this game but wish it was more like the real thing like rolling real dice.

Fun, but not perfect
I really enjoy playing this game...been playing it for about 3-4 years now. Easy to read and select dice, will give more Yahtzee’s than other games I have tried. My only complaint is that the game will flash the dice that will make a play, but these flashing dice are usually geared only to making a possible...and not likely...Yahtzee while the game ignores the combos that you need to complete the board. Say, I need a small or large straight: the games will flash the two threes showing & not flash the 2,5. &6. So, you need to keep your wits and not blindly follow the flashing clues. Otherwise, I really like this game and play it whenever I get on my tablet/phone.
