Customize your child’s experience with Parental Controls
Limit screen time: Set a time limit for how long your kids can watch and help encourage their transition from watching to doing.
Keep up with what they watch: Simply check the watch it again page and you’ll always know what they’ve watched and the newest interests they’re exploring.
Blocking: Don’t like a video? Block the video or whole channel, and never see it again.
Flagging: You can always alert us to inappropriate content by flagging a video for review. Flagged videos are reviewed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Create individual experiences as unique as your kids
Create up to eight kid profiles, each with their own viewing preferences, video recommendations, and settings. Choose from “Approved Content Only” mode or select an age category that fits your child, “Preschool”, “Younger”, or “Older”.
Select the “Approved Content Only” mode if you want to handpick the videos, channels and/or collections that you’ve approved your child to watch. In this mode, kids won’t be able to search for videos. The “Preschool” Mode designed for kids 4 and under curates videos that promote creativity, playfulness, learning, and exploration. The “Younger” Mode allows kids 5-8 to explore their interests in a wide variety of topics including songs, cartoons, and crafts. My autistic girl loves this app
This app has been a lifesaver for us.
I have this app since the beginning for our girl since she is autistic non verbal and this app is a part of her daily routines since she was a lot smaller and had started to lose her speech at 7 and being autistic the process of becoming non verbal as she became older was not easy and this app has helped her deal with it since it calms her down a lot and at times I say we cannot live without it.
she is turning 16 in November but due to her disabilities she still much a kid and this app shows a variety of content for little kids as well as older kids so she watches all kinds of stuff, and I know this was so helpful when my dad died in 2016 since it helped her deal with his grandfather’s passing.. it’s helped us at doctors appointments, vaccines, and in a lot of trips your videos were her entertainment and was all taken care of by this app.
She doesn’t like more apps and has many, but only uses this one and her obsession is with this one.
I truly wish to thank you God bless you for creating this app!

You make my days easier by giving my daughter a way to escape into her world of you tube for kids. I can get a small much needed break and it makes all the difference so thank you . One suggestion I’d like to make is that there can be a “like” button for her to push when she likes a video . She hears many creators suggesting that the “like” or “subscribe “ but she is confused that there’s no way to actually do this . It also seems like a win win for creators and viewers since the more likes they get will likely affect the algorithm and steer their videos towards viewers who are likely to be interested in what they offer . Besides those two reasons I mentioned it would be helpful as a parent to have a collection of her liked videos incase she wants to see one again and cannot find otherwise or for parents to monitor what their kids are watching and liking . Besides the above mentioned we have really enjoyed using the app and appreciate all who work to make it what it is . Thanks

SAFETY INSURING PARENTS, CHECK THIS!
We all understand that safety is a primary factor for many online apps these days. But what comes to a parents’ mind: not all apps base their app on something for kids or minors. Which is truly accurate. If your kid requests an answer for whether or not they could have THIS app though…wow..I gotta say yes. It is actually NOT too good to be true…it’s amazingly filtered and hand-picked videos are selected for little kids and a bit older ones too. It ranges from 4 and under to 9-12. Sure, trusting an online review can be tough. Is this person throwing crazy ideas into a public letter or actually proposing something phenomenal? Go and look into the app yourself. Act as your child, see what they can access. Guaranteed happiness and ensured safety and appropriateness.

Great with some flaws
So I love this app it’s perfect for watching videos and things you like but the thing is that it takes FOREVER just to upload new videos from channels i like and that’s very annoying another thing is that you know how like when you search up a channel name and there’s the picture and then only there videos right but with me it didn’t show it and I couldn’t keep up on the channel which was hard because I had to search it up find the right video all the time,I don’t wanna sound dramatic so I’m gonna say one more thing so I like to listen to music cause I just do , so there aren’t very good options when it comes to music like I find things like kids bop and cocomelon even when I put it at the highest age level it’s very hard to listen to music , and in the end I’m listing to kidzbop and cocomelon in the shower that’s all I have to say

Hello! I appreciate you reading this. I personally don’t enjoy this app. When it comes to stuff like, music/kiddish, what’s up with all the stuff in the beginning? Im not the only one who doesn’t care when it comes to this type of stuff. I understand, you probably think! Oh this is a-little kids app I should probably put kiddish things. Now the reader reading this, go ahead and find how old you should be to watch this… see? Exactly. Also, they took out all good videos. There’s some stuff I understand. But when it’s something appropriate and it’s obvious, that’s when I feel you should make more things for kids to see, Sometimes I get sick of seeing all the little kids stuff, and when you end up watch almost every DECENTLY good video. It’s annoying, now I understand you can’t check every single channel to see if the appropriate or not. But there’s obvious channels that are,And the biggest thing is that the age gap should not be for 12 and under I don’t see anyone over the age of 8 watching kids YT. Potential to be my child’s best
There is so much potential with this app I would like to suggest a few things hopefully it will get to the right persons. For starters, I would like to be able to save my child’s favorite videos. I would also like to be able to delete particular videos, without deleting the entire channel or show. For example, there are some Cocomelon videos that I would like to play and there are some I would prefer my child not to see. I would also like for those commonly searched item or favorite videos to replay randomly throughout auto play sessions, and be able to access on demand. It would also be great to choose videos that appear in your chosen language. Sometimes I find that my child watches videos in Bosnian or Russian language, but he’s still learning English, and Spanish. This is major confusing for both me and my child. Please help where and if possible. Thank you.

I wish it was the way it was in 2020 I can’t be the only one
First of all you used to be able to search stuff but now you’re not allowed to and second of all just made it so much more confusing because there is a shared recommended and approve for you sections I like the old system better because like it used to be shared then recommended then like learning or like if it was Black History Month there would be an entire section for that which would be a learning section and then you have the gaming section and the music section and they just ruined that cause I use a search a lot and they just ruined that for me because I am not the only one I think that just this app got ruined I think because now it’s just whack because I cause I started using this around 2017 it was just so much better that way why can’t they just change it back

One of my absolute favorites
I really like this app it has things that are appropriate for kids well mostly things that are appropriate for kids because I had to report some stuff that were not appropriate for kids especially the ones with the bad words but that doesn’t stop me from watching its videos in fact I want to keep watching it’s videos more when I see those because I want to keep getting rid of those bad words.
I really think that it’s good that they keep away inappropriate videos but some of those videos aren’t inappropriate and he thought that kids would not really appreciate those videos but some of those videos they were thinking of I actually appreciate so yeah it’s really a nice app

Great, but some suggestions.
This app is great for little kids, but for parents with older kids there’s not much good content. I’m constantly trying to find good videos to watch but whatever i do it leads back to the same childish videos. The search bar barely shows you what you’re looking for. If you search mukbang, nothing comes up. And tik tok, none. I get there are little kids, but there are also 11+. They should get some content they’ll actually enjoy. Also, the security system isn’t very safe. They ask east multiplication equations like 9x8. Children can easily google it or know it by the top of your head. you should also be able to watch clean vines. They take away a lot of things that are kid friendly and replace it with super childish content. It’s not fair to the children that are older and have stricter parents. Otherwise, good for little kids.

Inappropriate Content
CONSTANT Inappropriate Content. We’ve had to block so many channels and videos because many were either teaching our daughter bad manners (bratty behavior videos) or all about ghosts, monsters and scary stuff. I set her age group correctly. And another parent said they blocked YT Kids for the same reason but it was when we were new to the app. I like that you have some kinds of controls but only one that matter was only when it was after the video played and it was too late. Cannot chose content for your kid. It’s saturated with bad stuff. I like that there’s no ads, prob only reason we kept it as long as we did. Honestly, regular YT is not even as bad as YT Kids. We ended up deleting the app and downloading PBS Kids. I’m bummed because I wanted to like this. My daughter did but she was learning way too much things that I didn’t feel was right. Kids are sponges. The company should reevaluate what’s appropriate for the younger age groups. It’s ridiculous!
