It’s a pretty good point and click adventure game. But the mini game with the gnomes and the flower? Infuriating. I don’t think I should get so mad at a normally laid back style of game. I wish I had a gnome to shatter every time I spend over 5 minutes trying to get past the dumb gnomes.
If most of the time I spent playing was on the actual point and click game, it’d be better, but instead it’s spent on the gnomes.
A way to solve the gnome problem, as you fail more, it gets a little more easy, either that, or when you get it wrong, you just don’t lose a flower, that would take sooooo much less time to complete then, and it may even be fun, and you could get back to the actual game quicker. Then you won’t get stuck on a rage inducing mini game, and mini games are supposed to be short little segments that’s why they’re called Mini games, the gnomes could classify as a complete other game with how long it takes.
One plus I have to say is the pixelated art style is nice, and even in small animations is still nice and not stiff, like pixel tends to cause. But the fact it is sometimes inconsistent with other elements of the game, that are non pixel style, makes it less appealing.
I don’t have much else to say, since I never got past the first ‘mini game’ with the gnomes. I can know say, I hate gnomes with a burning passion.
Would not recommend to people who don’t plan to spend an hour on a ‘mini’ game. Though if I ever do manage to get past that first gnome bit, I’ll add to/change my review accordingly.
