Description

Zone 2 helps you track how much of your weekly workout time is performed in the zone 2 heart rate range. It is recommended that 80% of your workout time is spent in this zone.

Use it with any fitness tracker that writes heart rate data to the Health app on your iPhone or use the Zone 2 Apple Watch app for real-time zone tracking during workouts!

What is Zone 2 heart rate training?

Zone 2 training refers to exercise performed at a moderate intensity that keeps your heart rate in a specific heart rate zone, typically between 60-70% of your maximum heart rate. This is the heart rate zone where your body is able to utilize oxygen most efficiently, which can lead to a range of benefits for your fitness and health.

Zone 2 training is important for a number of reasons, including:

• Improved aerobic capacity: By training in the zone 2 heart rate range, your body becomes more efficient at using oxygen to produce energy, which can improve your overall aerobic capacity.
• Increased fat burning: During moderate-intensity exercise, your body relies more on fat as a source of fuel, which can help to improve your body composition and reduce body fat.
• Improved cardiovascular health: Regular exercise in the zone 2 heart rate range can help to strengthen your heart and improve blood flow, which can reduce the risk of heart disease.
• Increased endurance: Training at a moderate intensity can help to improve your endurance and stamina, which can be particularly helpful for endurance athletes such as long-distance runners or cyclists.

Must Have App No Matter Your Training Zone
This is such an awesome app! I have been looking for an app that is simple and does not have a lot of extra metrics that just distract me while I am working out. Zone 2 is the best app that I have found that gives me straightforward feedback during my workout. My favorite part of the app is that it keeps track of the time I spend in each zone. So no matter if I switch between zones, it keeps a cumulative time per zone. That way I can set my Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, and Zone 5 goals for the week and and it lets me know how many minutes I need as I go throughout the week. Training in Zone 2 or really any zone is so easy to manage. My only disappointment is that I didn’t find it earlier. Shannon has been so responsive to feedback and had fixes and suggestions completed so fast. If you do any kind of workout, you need this app!
Bballmom33,
I love it!!!👏👏👏
This app is great! It’s only one of two that I have found that tracks my time spent in zone 2 in real time, and that is free! Everything else tells you how much time you SPENT in a particular zone after the workout is done, which is not very helpful if I have a goal of a certain amount of time I want to spend in zone 2, per training session.
It stays right on track with the zone changes compared to my MyZone chest strap even though it is collecting it’s data from my Apple Watch (and Whoop…). I know, overkill, but data and data comparisons are my favorite thing🤓.
VERY HIGHLY recommend this app!
Keep up the good work!💪💪

Great App to make sure I get enough Zone 2 Minutes
This app helps me make sure I’m getting enough heart rate Zone 2 minutes during my easy runs. I was surprised to see most of my runs were in Zone 3, otherwise known as junk miles. This was just what I needed to stay in the right Zone so I get the most out of my training.
jragenfly,
Get it
