WARNING: This is a highly addictive mobile and VR game that MUST BE INITIATED BY A PLAYER WITH A VR HEADSET (Meta Quest, Pico Neo3, Pico 4, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index or Windows Mixed Reality) and played with at least one person who joins the game on a mobile device (iOS 12.4, iPhone 6 and up).
The golden acorns are under attack! It’s up to you and your friends to protect them or steal them - depending if you are playing on a VR headset to take on the role of an extraordinarily protective tree or as one of several crafty yet thieving squirrels on mobile - in the cross-platform party game, Acron: Attack of the Squirrels!, from Resolution Games.
This hilariously fun experience must be initiated by a player with a VR headset (Meta Quest, Pico Neo3, Pico 4, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index or Windows Mixed Reality) who creates a room. He or she then connects to one to eight frenemies on their phone and/or tablet devices by giving them the assigned room number that they enter into their device when prompted in order to become rebel squirrels that'll do anything to steal the golden acorns using an arsenal of unique abilities.
The game is at its best when played as a couch party game together with a group of friends and is both competitive and cooperative in nature for players across VR and mobile devices. Once in the game, one player in VR takes on the role of a large, ancient tree that tries to knock out the squirrels that are out to steal the nuts by using the controllers to grab and hurl wood chunks, boulders and sticky sap to keep the squirrels at bay. Meanwhile, the band of squirrels (players on mobile) can leverage a myriad of tools and distraction tactics - including the ability to pick up and plant seeds that grow into pumpkin barriers, plant bushes to hide behind, place mushrooms they can use as leaping pads and more - while working together to develop strategies to outsmart the tree in order to scurry around and gather as many acorns as they can.

Could be better
This game is a tone of fun! Can’t go wrong with the classic Capture the Flag. The only issues I have with it so far are
1. When there is sap on the ground I think at least one squirrel should be able to run through it. I suggest when Zip activates his speed it should allow him to run through the sap.
2. I don’t know how this can be fixed, but there are times when I try to use a tunnel made by Doug and I pop out the end only to pop right back in. Sometimes getting stuck in the loop over and over. This is extremely aggravating! Again though, I’m not sure how the developer could fix this, I just thought I’d express my anger.
3. The “joystick” seems a big difficult to use. Could just be me, but I’ve been having a hard time getting my squirrel to go the direction I want it to.
All in all, this game is a load of fun and highly recommend it! But be prepared to also be infuriated by these little things.

Great game only two things
I absolutely love this game, but there is one problem and I have one suggestion. First, I purchased were-zip skin yesterday and now it says I didn’t, second, with the big tree balls, I think they should despair after they are thrown, because there have been many cases when a lingering ball his killed me when I’m coming out of a tunnel or falling off a ramp. I hope this feedback has been helpful! Sorry I forgot some more suggestions.
I know it’s probably hard to decide a new squirrel, but I had an idea, I don’t know what it should look like but I had a power and name idea, his name is camo and he can turn invisible for a bit, of course the tree will still see the acorn if he has it.
Also I don’t have a problem with this since I’m a boy but I feel like you would get more players if you made female squirrels. There seem to be a lot of reports of it not working on phones but it works fine for me and my best friend. Also I would like it if you improved name space because I wanted a biggish name but it cut me off. But overall this is my favorite game and I call my best friend every day so we can play. Nice game but crashes.
Okay so my friends and I had been anticipating the release of this game for as long as I can remember. Today is the 29th and the app has just been released. My friends and I all got together and we simultaneously opened the app with glee. However, to my extreme misfortune, the app crashed after four seconds of running. I was not dismayed though. For I opened the app a second time only to have it crash again. Similarly, my friend with an iPhone 6 experienced the same result. The only one of us to have the app work was a friend with an iPhone XR. So, in a hideous fit of pure rage, I screamed like a banshee and was unable to play on my phone. I was distraught. I have never been so sad and suicidal in my life. But I got to play on my friends iPhone XR so it was pretty good. 4/5.

Fun for any sort of Game Night!
I played this game with both co-workers (in our twenties) and my family (all of us are adults) and it was such good time! Only one person needs a headset, and you can play with anyone anywhere. It was a perfect hour long game to start without knowing anything, and then get better over time. My family was in three separate time zones and we were able to play and have fun.
My critiques are to add bot difficulty cause the bots are very horrendous at times and have cost the squirrels games. It'd be cool if we could made them more difficult/make them smarter. Also, more game modes would be cool, cause the same game mode does get old after a while with a casual crowd. I like the learning curve of the squirrel classes, I would just add new modes besides capture the flag.

Awesome game!!!!!!!
I think this is probably the coolest family game out there!! Me and my family play it allllll the time when we’re not busy we even take it on VACATION!! I definitely recommend getting a VR headset and downloading this game to your iPads, iPhones and VR headset. The only thing I can think of that’s wrong with it is that sometimes it freezes or kicks you out but that doesn’t happen very often. We’ve played in all of the worlds and we’ve played with all of the characters and they’re absolutely adorable. Y’all have honestly done an amazing job with this game.
One thing though. Can you please add a few more worlds?

I adore this game so much! I would not change a thing about this game. I read some reviews, and I have to disagree with some of them.
1. Changing the camera angle so that it pivots to the squirrel’s back all the time, even while they’re coming back to base from stealing the acorn, would ruin the fun of the game. I love that challenging feature , and it would be too easy for squirrels to win if that was changed (as of it is for now)
2. The tree’s attacks are very well balanced in my opinion. Idk why some players are having a problem with it. You got the slime to slow the squirrels down, the smaller Rock that reloads instantly, and the giant boulder for a heavier attack damage. On top of that, infinite ammo for all. Use them tactfully and you will make it very difficult for the squirrels to win

Great game, but just 2 things can be more better...
I love this game and everyone I’ve played with also loves this game, although it is VERY fun, it becomes a bit stale for my me and my friends around 45 mins each play session. Due to this I am wishing for an update, with new maps and new squirrels to play as. I believe more maps complex map designs will keep the tree and the squirrels up on their feet, and new squirrels, with new abilities would leave players needing to strategize more. I believe adding these to the game is a great move for this app and the players, keeping players coming back. Other than that, this game is an A tier party game.

A FAMILY FAVORITE
My family and I have spent so much time playing this game together. It’s one of the few games everyone in my family enjoys playing with each other. It’s a cheesy, nutty (get it?), incredible delight. Playing as the tree makes you feel like a final boss facing off against the protagonists clueless to their impending doom. Such a funny game. Such a delight. If you have a headset, a family and a bunch of smartphones lying around (or being used, whatever), you’re missing out if you don’t give this game a chance!

This game has the potential to be one of the best Vr games I’ve ever played. Here are some balancing fixes for squirrels to have more of an edge vs the unstoppable tree:
1. Projectile speed reduced
2. Ground sap remains on ground for limited time
3. When a squirrel picks up an acorn they get 2-3 seconds of invulnerability
Last comment would be how frustrating it is not being able to camera rotate as a squirrel. Maps like the haunted woods are so easy to fall off of while running backwards. Make these changes and the game will be more balanced between tree vs squirrel. It’s too easy to throw objects at them. Cool downs are relatively low for the stronger projectiles. Sap staying on the ground until a squirrel walks through it is just unfair. Every time sap spawns you just throw it on the acorns. Making squirrels invulnerable for 2 or 3 seconds after picking up an acorn forces the tree to aim at the squirrels from a slight distance, making escape more viable for squirrels, otherwise the tree just waits until the squirrel picks up acorn, easy to hit.

Outstanding game
This game is outstanding as a group game. Up to 9 players can play at a time. We play this game as a family a lot. My kids love it too. They both love being the tree and being a squirrel.
The only thing I would ask for is more levels. There are only 8 levels to play. The are very good. But some levels definitely are more likely the tree will win and some the squirrels will almost always win. This is okay because it makes you try different strategies. But it would be nice to have some more levels.
The squirrels abilities are nice. The only one we don’t use a lot is sim who builds the stairs. His is somewhat less useful other then building walls to stop the tree.
The other thing that is a minor irritation is the bot squirrel’s often will run the acorn back towards the tree it is often easier without them.
