Anxiety Release shows you how to release anxious thoughts and feelings naturally, by harnessing the power of your brain. It does this by combining guided instructions and focused attention with bilateral brain stimulation. Bilateral stimulation is a treatment element of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), a revolutionary treatment which is based on the use of sensory stimulation to alter anxiety-provoking memories and responses. Over 30 randomized controlled studies of EMDR attest to the efficacy of this process.

Please update this app for iOS 14.7.1
I’ve used this app for a few years but I can no longer use it because the app needs to be updated in order to run on my new iPhone 12 with iOS 14.7.1. Please update ASAP so I can continue to use this great tool. Thank you!

My therapist who works with EMDR recommended this to me and has helped a great deal with daily triggers.. I would recommend if you have had deep rooted trauma you don’t remember and or from childhood should work with a therapist first childhood trauma has many layers and like a diet or cleanse should be done in a certain order otherwise it can surface things the body has stored for protection and try to all come out at once that’s how powerful a d simple this method is it has changed my life in so many positive ways !!!! I tell everyone who has gone to therapy and nothing has worked to try this it is life transforming and appreciate all who help others in this way !! Thank you !!

Really works
I found this no-frills app recommended by a therapist to be really well thought out and extremely effective: as a bedtime meditation, to get back to sleep from a 3am panic attack, or to a calmer state in difficult ongoing/triggering situations.

This app has shifted my answer to the question, if you were stranded on a desert island and could only take one thing… ;-)

Try it! It took me a few listens to really grok it and feel the effects. It’s a bit cumulative.

Very useful and calming
Author even replied to me regarding iOS compatibility. I can run this app on iOS 12.2 without issue. When I can’t sleep, even medication didn’t help enough. I put on headphones, turned this on... next thing I knew it was morning. I have 30 years of anxiety, sleep disorder, and depression. This app is the only effective thing I have tried.

When can we expect an update?
I love this application! The only problem is that my iPhone continually tells me that I will not be able to use all of the features on the application until the developer update the application! When can we expect an update?! You would've gotten a five star rating for me if you would keep up with updates. I'm looking on here and see nothing post 2014

By Far The Best app out for what it is and it's claim!!! PLEASE UPGRADE, So I (and so many others) can use it again and get the benefits that it will offer!!
It would also be extremely wonderful and helpful if the app could continue to play while leaving the program to use/work with others.

Works for me
I use it exclusively when there is an external crisis that causes me intense anxiety.

I use a different app for day-to-day stress and insomnia, Relax & Sleep Well ͏b͏y Glenn Harold.

This EMDR app is an amazing health tool for me. I have had a trained EMDR therapist session once and I know how effective these tools can be. This one will take anxiety down a few notches. Glad to have it in “the tool box”!

Amazing App
This app is worth its weight in gold. I use it myself, recommend it to friends and family, and also to clients. (I’m a psychotherapist.)

A unique use is when I go to the dentist. I play the bilateral stimulation (without any guiding words) the whole time and I’m totally relaxed.

I can’t wait for Dr Grants next app (for overcoming pain) to come out.

This app is the most helpful app I have ever downloaded. I have PTSD and Anxiety. I often don’t know the trigger to a PTSD episode - but listening to this app helps tremendously in getting more grounded and releasing anxiety. I highly recommend this app for people with PTSD and/or Anxiety and I recommend it to therapists to make your patient aware of this tool.
