Not just saying this!
Finally, a free to play, non-gambling, high-quality Backgammon site has been created by our friends at Zynga. Smooth play, fun and tight graphics, quick matchups, and exciting stakes with their token system. A delight for the seasoned veteran to the beginner that needs an easy interface to learn this ancient game. Five stars from me, and I've been playing Backgammon for 30 years! THANK YOU ZYNGA!

What a joke!!
I’ve played backgammon for years n years ( actual board game) I consider myself pretty good and competitive. After loving this app for several wks now I’m convinced most players are bots. Never a picture on profile and no name just initials EVERYTIME I get in a good position to win my opponent ALWAYS ALWAYS rolls double 6’s. 3 doubles sixes in a row. Back to back games this has happened. I predicted it and had my hubs watch and sure enough. They always seem to roll exactly what they need to get me and most of the time they’re all piled up so I can’t get out. Hey App developers… do you have to be so obvious? Why can’t I choose the player I want to play? Why do you choose that for me? The algorithm stinks on this one! Graphics are good but this game is frustrating so I’m done with it. Gin Rummy plus at least gives you options of choosing your opponent’s and you can actually chat briefly w ppl. Profile pictures make me know it’s a real person. If you like to lose to Bots then thus game is for you! I recently went to look at reviews Lo n behold most reviews have confirmed what I suspected. What a waste of my time!!! Deleting today!!!

Wow this game sure does confront you with a bunch of in-app purchases where it kind of disguises the “no”/“close offer” button. Also, I guess they are paying some people to play it or something (or, maybe paying some other company to increase number of players, and this other company responds by just paying people to “play” it? Idk), in the hope that these people will invite others in order to get past the delay timers in order to get paid, and so get more paying users that way, but having this inviting actually get the person who did the invite their reward appears to require facebook sign-in. All-in-all this seems to me like whale-farm trash.
FTR I don’t actually know how to play the backgammon, and was just asked to install it for the aforementioned in-game-token-reward by a friend of mine, so, it isn’t like I was really in the target audience, which is why I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 star.
But, in any case, this game was not made with respect for the player in mind.

This game cheats.
The bots in this game are horrid! So frustrating! I detest how rigged the game is. Cheating cheater game!
I received this response, but there’s no way that true. As soon as I get a little bit ahead by winning coins from the various side games, I loose them all because of the rigged dice rolling numbers that my opponent needs to not only win but kill me!

Point theft?
I wrote a long review, with pluses and minuses, but it was never added here. I don’t have the energy to write it again; but my main issue now is why I can win 20,000 points and only receive a discounted amount?? Even when the opponent has plenty to cover. Is this a non-disclosed “house rake”? Or just Zynga theft?

You have to pay to play and win or play a fair game. It seems every time I’m a head, my opponent gets 3 doubles in a row while I’m rolling a 3 and 1 then a 2 and 1 then 3 and 1 again and my opponent gets to keep knocking me off the board with another 2 sets of doubles. This pattern has happened repeatedly. I will be deleting this game. People who are willing to spend money on this game get to win… I posted for a small amount of coins and started winning on the 4th day. When the coins I bought ran out, I started losing again…

This game has great potential, but it’s heavily tainted with rigged dice, endless bots, way too much drama and it keeps stopping on me after I get way ahead.....
Some of us are well~seasoned backgammon players & we can tell the difference between real dice & rigged dice.......
I just don’t understand why these developers keep using rigged dice for these backgammon games........it makes me wonder if they have ever played the game for real....because anyone who has played “real backgammon” would agree that the dice rolls are “random”.....and not programmed for “dramatic purposes”......
If skill & strategy were allowed, backgammon games would be more than awesome....but because the dice are always programmed & rigged, there’s no way to work a strategy.....

Piece of junk run scam
This is a piece of junk rigged algorithm-based backgammon thought it was gonna be fun but yeah all of this done is to make you lose so that you have to purchase I’ve never seen so many replicated numbers over and over again or the other guy getting so many doubles it’s inconceivable how it can but this IT lie yours and they are liars. Don’t trust them you know what they say about these new tech companies they’re the new tobacco companies here’s the big middle finger at you go F yourself

I don’t like the new version
I liked the old version of the game (different app same name). I wish we had the option of keeping the old app as now this one is just like all other backgammon games in the App Store. Visual and style, the other one was easier for me to digest. Both the old and new version seem to be a little rigged but at least visually the other one was simpler and more fun.

Game cheats
Whenever the game wants you to lose wether playing a bot or real person the rolls will be very “convenient.” For example, multiple games I’ve had people backed up and somehow they get magical rolls of EXACTLY what they need to get in, break me, then make gates. Game developers even ruthlessly will roll double after double to take you down. I hate how obvious it is. So stupid not a fan whatsoever.
