phaze03,
Great game but..
This game is amazing, its fun and addictive, feels like you’re watching a Batman movie but better. The story line is amazing and the gameplay, but there’s a payment problem, for example let’s say you finished the first FREE episode. Now you want to buy the next one to see what’s gonna happen next right, and let’s say you buy the 15$ multipack cheap nd ez then you download the next episode after that episode you begin to play the next one but it says purchase episode and you think to yourself didnt I already bought this. This happened to me I even went to my receipts to see if i bought it and I did, u really want to play the next few episodes but it wont let me buy it Unless I pay for it again, telltale’s PLEASE fix this me and others want to play it but we can’t with this problem 🥲
hehhrhehe,
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
All right so if you’re looking for a game then this isn’t what to download but if you’re looking for an incredible story then this is the story for you Batman the telltale series tells such an amazing story that you would only expect to see from incredible comic writers such as Jeph loeb my only advice is the think out your decisions very thoroughly and make sure you press the right button luckily most decisions I made in the story we’re pretty good ones except for the final decision that you have to make the most important one I actually miss clicked and pressed the wrong button and there is no way to go back or restart from a checkpoint unfortunately The voice acting is superb and it’s definitely worth a shot personally I think it’s so amazing that it would be A great idea to make a novel based off of this story using the decisions made by the majority of people who played it one more thing I am just letting you know in the first sequence there is a really laggy spot I’m not sure why but I promise you the rest of the game is not laggy if you’re a Batman fan this is the perfect story to get into and if your new to Batman I’d still recommend it just keep an open mind
iambillypat,
You need to consider what you’re buying
If you’re buying this because it’s a terrific animated comic in the Batman universe with a stunning story then please do and enjoy. If your intention is to purchase a game in the Batman universe...there are other games that are superior. Far superior to this “game”. This is an animated comic that asks you to occasionally swipe and poke the screen at key times to invoke the sense of interaction. Most of the time if you simply ignore the requests, they will go away and the narrative will continue until the next request, which, again, in most cases you are free to ignore completely......not a game as much as a loosely interactive narrative, and in my opinion not very good at that. I’m very happy they allow you to have the first episode for free as I would not be just disappointed, but outright angry if I’d paid money for this. Telltale, I love you. I love what you do and how you do it, I own most of your products on pc and over the years you have earned my respect as a game maker. Your name alone warrants that I have a look at your products without question, but this current direction is questionable and gives me pause for many reasons that I won’t go into here. If this is the new Telltale, I won’t be continuing the journey with you, sorry. Again, if you are looking for a mildly interactive narrative experience, this is excellent. If you are looking for a game, look elsewhere.
YogiDBear,
Very VERY happy!
First I want to make it clear that I’m VERY biased where Batman is concerned. I’ve been a tremendous fan of the comic books for more than 40 years. But bias aside I’ve really enjoyed this game and its outstanding story. Sure some of the events depart from the established Batman lore, but that normally happens when you reboot material.
I’ve noticed a few reviews that seem to be displeased that the game is essentially an interactive comic story, but having played several of the games from this developer I don’t think they’ve done anything different here then in the past. In other words it’s a great story with great character development. You get to make choices at key junctures in the story and those choices will have immediate effect on things and often larger implications later in the story. If you are a game fan who truly enjoys a well told story and would like to have a hand in directing the course of the story then this is definitely a game you’ll enjoy. If your a Batman fan then this game is a must. It’s a fantastic retelling if the established adventures of one of the most iconic characters in comic book history.

Fantastic Game, Unfortunately Got Scammed; Please Respond
Let’s start with the game’s positives. It is absolutely fantastic in nearly every way. The graphics are amazing, the storyline is well thought out, it’s a very emotionally investing game, and the voice acting is top-notch. All in all, I love telltale games, and the gameplay in this in no different from the traditional and fantastic telltale games.
However, I purchased the multi pack and played the first three episodes, but I then found I needed to purchase the final two of season one. I shrugged it off and said that it was worth it (I was addicted) but even after the individual purchase of the next episodes, it didn’t allow me to play or download them (a waste of 10 dollars) I can’t restore my purchases, and I really want to see how this season ends, as it left off on a cliffhanger, and I was so interested in where everything was going next.
This is the first telltale game I have played that I experienced this problem, and I really want it to get fixed, because if the next episodes are anything like the first three, this might be one of my favorite telltale games yet.
Please look into this Telltale, because I appreciate your work, I just want to play the final episodes.

Game breaking Bugs will waste your time
The story of this game is incredible, just as all telltale game’s are, but this app is built so poorly that it makes the game not worth downloading. Buying the multipack will result in a game breaking glitch that causes the app to not register your purchase and render it unusable. The only fix to this that anyone has found is to uninstall the app, which deletes any and all progress you’ve made on the game. I played up until episode 4 just to have this happen to me and have to completely restart. I did this and got all the way up to episode 5, where I AGAIN encountered the glitch. This time I connected my telltale account and enabled cloud saves so that the uninstall wouldn’t wipe my progress. To my disappointment, upon reinstalling the app I realized that for whatever reason telltale was not registering my cloud saves and I’ve essentially lost everything again. I refuse to play this game a third time but for whatever reason telltale does not allow you to edit your choices or skip any cutscenes. You have to sit there and watch every bit. The auto generated choices it gives you don’t align with mine at all and it is a true shame I will never get to finish this great story because the app was built on a shoddy foundation.
@RoyalGamer,
Addictive 🤩🤩
I absolutely love this game! The graphics are amazing and the story’s arc really pulls you into the world of Gotham’s #1 hero. I normally don’t buy any games but I was hooked after episode 1. The gameplay is easy to understand without it feeling as though we are being treated as children. The characters are all written well beyond expectations. This is definitely a game that you will want to play countless times over just to enjoy the different endings.

I would enjoy if Telltales decided to make games with other DC Heroes such as Green Arrow, Black Canary, Cyborg and Red Tornado just for example. I would even be thrilled if we got to play through a story as the villains! Joker, Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and Black Manta are some of my favorites.

I hope in the future we might even get a game where we can create our own hero (male/female) with in the DC universe and have them be the sidekick (which later they turn into their own hero) to one of the DC heroes (or even villains). I greatly enjoyed this game and can’t wait to see what else TellTale with give us in the future.
Wonder Woman fan 1941,
DC Forever!
The Multiverse is real. We know that now in real life. Comics knew it long before that. This game took the acclaimed Arkham series and merged it with choose your own adventure the traditional comic feel and the tv show feel. Yet it is more complicated; the drama is solid. The advantage of being an older franchise is that you’ve done it all. Thus you can experiment and take risks. Taking a famous origin and twisting it is a great creative move. “Behind every fortune there is a crime.” I’d always wondered if all of Bruce’s ancestors were honest... Bruce may be but this family dirt is his struggle.

My suggestion? Keep doing this same format. Batman is fine. Do this gaming series with other heroes too. Like Green Arrow or whoever. Personally, I’m a huge Wonder Woman fan and want to see her get her due. Bring in bestselling speculative fiction writers to make the storylines. Great work though and all the best!
随便说说别太当真,
Great story and yet a not-so-good game
I just finished the game, and now am writing a fresh review.
It is easily assumed that gamers are about to play an action/adventure game before entering any Batman game. However it wasn’t that case for this one. It is basically a conversational game, and all those plots and storylines make it a fancy conversational game.
The story is tremendously ambitious and totally surprises me in the first place. And... so much for complimentary.
As for a game, it fails, for instance, to even respond to gamers. Sometimes I swipe or tap and the icons don’t respond at all (the appearance of them don’t change), and it causes anxiety. Even more ironically, Batman can still act sometimes while I don’t tap the button. In that way, why bother play a game rather than watch a Batman film?
Last but not least, I played with subtitles in mandarin. The translation is disastrously awful! How awful? Just like a Chinese elementary school kid’s English homework. How about hiring me next time!
Jvdjay,
Forgot what you thought of Batman
Sooooooo first off I was brought here because of the sequel which was highlighted in editors choice. I said I could play the sequel without the start. I would like to say I'm not disappointed. As another reviewer put it, it's an interactive movie and less of a full on game. If any of you remember Shenmue (sp?) For Dreamcast then you know what I'm talking about.
The reason why I gave it 5 is because this was done well. The story and your choices through the game come back to haunt help or hurt you later. And how it does that is spectacular. Finally this puts a whole spin on what we know for bat man. Characters you know and thought you understood are suddenly different but familiar. If you are a fan of Batman on any level and are looking for more story and less button mashing, this is for you.
