Shotintadark,
Not a bad 8 hour game
The game is a classic Zelda like RPG. Story is mediocre but good enough. Like others have said, it is a bit grindish mid to late game but goes quick enough with the addition of xp boost gear. I do wish the devs would expand on the gear and weird side quests to allow for additional playability after main quest line is finished. Controls are a bit weird but you get used to them. Overall not bad but the game is only going to last you for 8 hours - 12 if you try and stretch the gameplay out as far as you can.
Westonianism,
Wannabe RPG
All the bells and whistles needed for an actual adventure game do not make up for highly repetitive gameplay with achingly predictable, dare-I-say lazy action. As with most Zelda knockoffs, this game becomes boring too quickly because the same fights with the same enemies (different clothes or colors though they wear) do not logically advance any real sense of story. It isn’t enough to simply make enemies more resilient or add multiple layers of the same battle when the plot is as sparse as it is here. The character’s few decision points do not appreciably affect the story, nor do the two (so far as I can see) merchants offer equipment scaled accordingly with the exponential difficulty associated with dispatching the same same same same same opponents. Worse, the overarching goal of the story is to acquire three (cough triforce) crystals for a staggering reward, but said loot can purchase only items a fraction as valuable so that the player can then fight…no one? The only ways this app avoids a one star rating are that the artwork is acceptably detailed and the humor, while sparse, does exist. Further development might cure some of these faults, but ultimately the game becomes a weary slog well before any resolution occurs. Perhaps the real blame should be assigned to Apple itself, who seem here to have ported a bargain-basement nostalgiaware knockoff into their arcade instead of paying for a true piece of interactive storytelling.
trustnxone,
okay enough
Movement is really hindering my rating on this game. Most of the time I double tap it does not work. Half the time my palms hit the edge of the screen, from holding my phone, and make my character run into the corners. Maybe little triangles at the edges of the bottom of the screen that aren’t tappable/targetable would work? But I think a joycon style movement would better suit this game. On top of that, the movement could be way more intuitive. If I’m holding a melee weapon and target an enemy, why does my character just stand there and not move close enough to attack? I could be standing just a little too far out of melee range and my character will just stand there and die because I don’t have a bow and arrow or a ranged weapon? If you tap to move your character and then tap to attack an enemy, the character will walk right past the enemy to get to where you last tapped, which doesn’t make any sense if you’re using melee weapons? Joycon style would fit better for movement.
Maybe I’m just bad, but I also feel like I have to be 2-3 levels higher than the recommended to get through the level. Partly due to the way you have to move around. The way the movement works makes me lose health so I can’t finish the level.

Good RPG
This isn’t the greatest RPG of all time but it’s really good. Very good as a mobile game that I’m impressed and want to see more of these. They have all sorts of RPG elements like attributes and special abilities for specific builds. You are not restricted to a single class, although it is better to focus on a single class. You get a bit of player agency in regards to making decisions. My only criticisms would be that it’s a bit repetitive and too difficult at the beginning. Also, they don’t have a interface where you can view quests and mark them on the map making it harder to focus on completing quests. Oh and I can’t view current objectives on locations until I travel there. Otherwise I was surprised how fun this was. It is addictive and provides an incentive for me to stay subscribed to Apple Arcade. They should make similar games in different settings like outer space or post-apocalyptic worlds. Again it’s not the best but as a iPad game it’s pretty good. Oh and they should also have a main story focus because this all feels like side quests.

Pleeeeeeease update
This game is so fun! I’ve played and beat it all the way through several times and it still hasn’t gotten old. There’s plenty of different classes to choose from, lots of different armor and weapons, and there’s a decent amount of stuff to do. I do wish it had an actual main story though, as of right now it just tells you to go find some crystals and then come back and give it to a guy (I’m not gonna say what happens at the end though because I don’t want to spoil it). If the developer put in some more missions though it would be honestly perfect. Also I’ve seen some complaints about movement, it’s not actually that bad and I haven’t had any issues but if other people have then I suggest just adding a joystick control option in the settings.

What a perfect RPG looks like!
Really cool to see Mika Mobile working with Apple to bring this classic to Apple Arcade. This game… this game was ahead of its time, it’s an absolutely brilliant iteration of a classless system in an RPG. The theory crafting potential is amazing, the combat is a ton of fun, and the art style is truly timeless. The worst part about the experience of Battleheart Legacy is when it ends. On the bright side, you can play through it again in an entirely different way than the first time through. We’ve been waiting for an open world adaption of Battleheart for years because these devs would do it right. Do yourself a favor and immerse in this game for a while!
need some work 1234,
I ❤️ heart battleheart
I absolutely love the game. It is the best game I have ever played for mobile. I have a few suggestions though. how about adding the multiplayer mode along with a chat? Can you add a few more classes and weapons and armor. There’s also this glitch in the game I need you to fix. sometimes when I enter a level it makes me go right back out to the map. One last thing I’ve been playing this for more than a month, and I still haven’t beat the game not even with all the side quests done. Don’t believe anybody who said negative stuff about the game this game is the best!😄

P.S. this is the best RPG in the 🌎world!😁

Terrific Dungeon Crawl RPG
I bought this game when it was out ages ago, and eagerly played through the whole thing again when it came out on Apple Arcade. Although not every class feels as capable as each other, the real fun of mixing and matching is what makes this such a good experience.

Necromancer who wields a flaming sword? Sure! Archer who teleports around the battlefield and explodes to knock enemies down? Yes! Fist fighting monk who can also charm their foes into fighting for them? All possible.

It’s not a super deep game, but it’s a great depth for mobile without feeling like it’s half a game or anything like that. If you’re at all thinking about, just give it a try!

A Classic RPG Revived
SUMMARY: A fun and rewarding RPG experience that is worth playing. Definitely give it an hour to see if it sticks for you.

PROS
+ Customizable characters
+ Fluid skill tree and selections
+ Witty and fun
+ Challenging enough without being too forgiving. It also isn’t likely to make you rage quit.
+ Lots of explorable gameplay
+ High replayability
+ Dialogue options based on how you want to role play

NEUTRAL
= The graphics were awesome when the game first came out 8 years ago. In 2022 they are serviceable, but show their age in certain aspects. wish they could have remastered the graphics slightly to renew the game further, but I’m not even mad
= The story is pretty basic, but engaging enough.

CONS
- There is a certain level of grind required to skill up, but that only becomes more apparent later in the game.
- The dialogue options you select don’t really have a large impact on the story lines. They are mostly there to set the mood.
- The skill trees are linear.

Really good game
This game is really good even for its age. I like this game because instead of those games made under a day capitalizing off the hottest thing on the market this was made with time an effort. Yes it’s animation is a bit old but the gameplay is good. You can become a holy knight, a barbarian witch, or a necromancer with bow skills the combinations are endless! If your wondering what I picked I picked the dark arts. This game is one of my favorites I feel people should give this a try it’s really fun and it should give you 8hr+ entertainment.
