I have never EVER left a review for a game, but this game... I CANT STOP PLAYING IT. I seriously played this for 7 HOURS a couple days ago. Partly because of quarantine, but mostly bc it’s so addicting! Not to mention, I have quiet a few different games on my phone! I don’t really understand how someone could diss this game in anyway! I literally play the game in my head when I’m not playing it on my phone. I usually don’t spend that much time on my phone, but this game is an exception! PLAY IT! PLAY IT! PLAY IT!
Wait! One thing! Okay, I know I said that I don’t see how anyone could diss this game, but just remembered one MINOR detail that really isn’t that big of a deal! I love hearing the sound of the wood clicking into place, so I turn the volume up (it just makes it feel more satisfying), but when I lose, well, the “Game Over” sound is somewhat... obnoxious. Idk, it may just be my brain! I just wouldn’t complain if there were some changes in the sound design! Still love the game!

I don’t understand how this game can change as it has from first playing because it would give you a variety of different formed blocks to place so that you were able to place in spots to make a line or a fill a whole block to delete from board so that you could fill it again on and on this is how you get your points but lately it sends the same 6 and 7 set of blocks only sometimes more in the first and second and third time it sends you blocks to place on the board then it sends maybe 4 or 5 set of the same blocks during the time your trying to score high points to no avail there is no way you can it’s impossible it happens every time I try to play why do you not care why can’t you fix this why do you not want me to play this game why make a game if its rigged just to be disappointed I’ve gotten high scores before so don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about this game needs to send different shapes of blocks on each game not the same three or four set of blocks over and over it only takes a few minutes before game is lost because what it sends won’t let you win I love this game others are so immature so please care enough to make people have a little enjoyment in life if not I will delete and never play your games again and I will also let others know how messed up this game is I don’t want to try other block games I like this one

As good as Woody, but annoyed by ads
This dev group knows how to produce amazingly addictive games. I spent WAY too much of my pre high school years playing Tetris on the 1st gen Nintendo Gameboy. So, when I saw how similar the original Woody was, I tried playing it. Over two years later, I still play it addictively as one of my go to mindless games. It is incredibly challenging and hard to get Hogg scores for me.
Having got addicted to Woody so quickly, when I saw this version available, I just had to try it. It took me a little more convincing, probably because the strategies are completely different than woody. But the more I played it, the more addicted I became. When I find myself wanting to throw my phone against the wall because I got caught with a stupid piece after a good run, I will go back to Woody and vise versa.
I subscribed to their annual pass to remove the ads because I play it so often and hate waiting to watch the stupid ads. I love Woody Sudoku, so much, I would easily be willing to pay for another subscription, but they do not offer the option. So, every time an ad pops up, I just close the app and reopen it to avoid having to wait. I would easily give this game a 5 star review if I had to the option to not be bothered, every so often, with ads.

I came back with the understanding that with time, these types of games are changing. More ads; it’s necessary to keep the game free. However, an ad after every. Single. Game. Not fun anymore!
This game was always my favorite game to play when I had time to sit down and relax. But lately, the game is so riddled with interruptions, that it has made the game almost impossible to play. With the new changes, the game has gone from fun and relaxing to extremely frustrating! In the past, you could play a number of games before you were subjected to ads. Now, there are ads after each game, and now they are actually interrupting the game itself. The new “time to rest” feature pops up on my screen with yet another ad every few minutes during the game I am currently playing! I saw the developer response on a prior review that stated it is to enable the player to take a rest during a lengthy game. I don’t consider 5 minutes of gameplay to be lengthy. As an adult, I am able to know when I need to “take a rest” and can put the game down on my own without being prompted! I know you can pay to remove these intrusive ads, but $5 a month or $32 a year —- just a tad expensive! I will offload the app and check back occasionally to see if the game has improved its playability, but for now I’ll hunt another game.

Love it!
Love relaxing with this and doing daily puzzles and killing time with regular play. I have had the app about 2 years and it’s still a favorite. I like the journey feature, but I do not like how it hangs up at times between levels, both on my iPad and iPhone. I’ve tried restarting devices, updating the app, even reinstalling app, but I could not complete the last several journeys due to the app “hanging up.” It does not do this with regular play or daily puzzles, so I just go as far as I can and then give up on the rest of the journey. Frustrating but not a deal breaker for a free game that has limited ads and is fun to play. I wish the regular play had some of the pretty jewels in play like are in the journey levels (maybe like as a bonus round for another daily puzzle once a week). That would add another dimension of fun to a great game!

Something has changed with the ads...
I’ve been an avid fan for a long time but now beginning to have second thoughts about continuing to play the game. The ads at the bottom are nuisance enough but I realize that’s how the developer makes money. Then the ads for other apps that play between when one game ends and another begins can get tiring as some taking 30 seconds to clear. But again, that’s how the developer makes money. But NOW, even though I had turned off the sound for the game when I first began to play it, the app ads between games now come with sounds that are a hassle to turn off. Then when one app ad finishes playing, there may be a SECOND one that lasts for a countdown of 5 seconds or more! SO it’s not just banner ads at the bottom, not just 1 app ad between games but now 2, now we have to deal with annoying music for app ads for 30 seconds! THIS IS NOT OKAY. ITS JUST NOT OKAY. What’s next? - music for the ads at the bottom? It’s just getting harder to enjoy wanting to play the game...

Has potential
Hi! Your game has a very attractive look to it. I like the “wood” look that makes it look old fashioned. I l like the feature that you can place the pieces wherever they fit and not necessarily within one 3x3 square. I really like the feature of making combinations or consecutive moves for more points.
A couple of details that seem frustrating while playing is that you cannot rotate the pieces. I feel that we should be able to do that and also there should be a delay between placing the piece and it becoming a part of the board where you can’t move it. Sometimes we need a chance to change our mind before the final answer. One more thing we should be able to get a new piece once you use a piece and not having to wait until you place all three before given a new set. Because the pice that you need now might be in the next set.

Why sniff my home network?
Updated to iOS 14. Decided to turn off my ad blocker because of an issue. Played Woody 99. There's a little ad showing at the bottom of the screen. Not awful. But when the interstitial ad pops up after I complete a level, iOS alerts me that it wants to access my private network so that it can discover other devices. What! For this reason the ad blocker is going back on permanently. I'm shocked that the developer hasn't encountered this and dealt with it. Tragic flaw: never trust advertising tech when you add it to your software.
And finally there was a huge bug. A overlays interstitial advert wanting me to "join" to play some sort of "build your gallery" game wouldn't go away no matter how many restarts. So I deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled. The ad is gone. But I'm still haunted by which ad network wanted to sniff my network and why the developer didn't catch it in testing.

Not what it used to be
I’ve been playing this game for a long while now as it is quite addictive. However, today I’ve decided to delete it. While it used to be entertaining and fun to do for literal hours, the app has changed way too much in the past year. I understand the need for ads but like another reviewer said, after every single game? And now, not only that, but the dev has implemented a “break” cycle in the middle of the game that forces me to watch yet another ad. I’m watching an ad almost every 30 seconds at this point while playing and it’s taken the enjoyment out of the game. Now sure, there’s an ad free subscription service but, seriously? While I could justify paying a one time fee to remove these ads, ($0.99-$9.99) a subscription is a ridiculous ask for a game like this. I get needing to make a profit but this is obnoxious if I can’t even enjoy 5 minutes of game play.
