Add To My Deals not working as expected
Developer was very quick about responding to my first problem of no cards. So kudos for that. What I have a problem with now is that I like to save games to see if I can “get it right.” The Add To My Deals” button worked one time, but now in the My Deal section, it has just one game called Custom. I can’t change the name as in the previous version. And trying to add any more deals just doesn’t work.
If you ask to Add New Deal in the My Deals section, you can build your own deals. On the iPhone app, there is not a Done button like in the iPad app. So you have to quit the app to go anywhere. The one time I tried to build a hand, I couldn’t get it finished. The touch screen seemed to become unresponsive.
Anyway, I wish that the Add To My Deals worked. Otherwise, I like being able to play while not online as I am a frequent flier with lots of time to kill in the skies and no wifi. I still play a lot, and enjoy the app. Keep on improving please!

PAID FOR IT 2 YEARS AGO, BUT THEY TOOK IT BACK!
A few days ago I tried on my iPhone to access the Bridge Baron program that I BOUGHT 2 years ago. Couldn’t do it, because Bridge Baron would only allow me in if I subscribed to their pay-monthly new version. Yes, they’re giving me a free month and I can cancel my subscription anytime I want, but that is not the point. I purchased a version of Bridge Baron, and I want to use what I bought. What kind of service takes back what a customer paid for, and tells him he needs to go through the trouble of unsubscribing because they want to force him to pay every month for what he already Bought??!! Months Later: As you might have noticed, the developers and marketing department of Bridge Baron are ignoring complaints from those of us who had previously PURCHASED Bridge Baron and were years later suddenly told to pay $5 a month to use it. Extortion is what it is.

Display not working right
I love IBB but this new version I just updated today has totally messed up the display on my iPad. I normally use it in landscape mode and now the table display is squashed into a 5.75 inch square where before it filled the entire display area of the iPad. The squashed version covers up half the cards so you can’t even see your whole hand. Someone said make your text size maximum, which helped some but even then some cards were partially covered. Finally I discovered that if I unlock rotation and turn the iPad into portrait mode, the display is ok. So I know what to do but they need to fix this soon!
Now I’ve noticed that the landscape mode works if you start a new game but if you load game you have to play in portrait mode.

New update is ridiculous
When are you going to allow people to just use their $20 subscription and stop the nonsense of a trial for six months. I too am going to contact Apple regarding your fraudulent practices (as this is the second time you have done this). Perhaps a class action lawsuit needs to be addressed.
As a follow up to your response, this has not been fixed. All you have done is offer a six month free subscription. If I am missing something, please let me know. I am sure many others would like to know as well. Never have I experience such fraud in a game app as this. I purchased the original for myself and my parents and then the gold for all of us. Now you want a monthly fee. Get trumped. NOT HAPPENING. I have paid $80 for both my Mom and I to have the original and last upgrade you pulled out of your hat. This is fraud and I hope you find no one wanting to enjoy any of your games. There are other options and I am sure we will all find great alternatives. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Frustrating to use as a blind player
As a totally blind Bridge player, I very much enjoy the app on desktop. However, the mobile version has a few accessibility issues that are not yet resolved.
First and most egregious playing the game with VoiceOver, Apple's built-in screen reader, is very difficult because the game does not hide my opponent's cards from VoiceOver. The cards still show up on the table as disabled buttons, and it is very easy to accidentally cheat, and indeed rather hard to avoid doing so.
Seconarily, unlike the desktop version, BB mobile does not vocalize bidding and play. It is thus difficult for me to determine what has happened, because I cannot easily tell which cards have been played. The bidding, in fact, is not accessible at all.
If these two issues could be resolved my rating would otherwise move up to 4 or 5 stars, as there is clearly a lot this app does well, and I only hope these relatively small changes can be made. I am a longtime user of the desktop app who would like very much to play on mobile as well.

Disappointed and feeling cheated
This was a good bridge app that I have paid for twice before. The first version had a lot of problems but the second version was very good, if not perfect. I would have given the recently deleted version a solid 4 rating. But now I open the program to find that they are extorting a $5 monthly payment, for something I paid for with the expectation that it was free and would stay free. This is deceptive and unethical.
I would have been fine with them adding in-app purchases for those who want more bells and whistles. I might have even paid for that, IF they had given me the choice. But the sudden switch is a business practice that should be banned by Apple. The only proper way to pull such a change is to offer all of us who purchased previously our money back.

Still the Best Bridge game
I have used this program for years and it is one of my favorite games! By far the best bridge game out there and worth the money.
After several years and no annoying ads or in-app subscriptions required - I was happy to “upgrade” and pay to ensure more years of development and fun!
I have not had any issues with play or saving preferences (although there are times if you edit one convention to emulate another, it doesn’t like it - i.e. if you choose SYAC you can’t turn off Jacoby Transfers, but can if you pick the more appropriate Standard American).
After several years and no annoying ads or in-app subscriptions required - I was happy to “upgrade” and pay to ensure more years of development and fun!

Money grab!
Nov 11 update: The developer suggested I update the app to version 35.9 (released 2 years ago). I would love to go back to that version! How do I do that?!!

With the recent update I was surprised to find that I cannot use Bridge Baron Gold at all unless I agree to a “free” trial, and then $4.99 a month thereafter. Like many others, I have paid over $40 for this app over the past few years to this company. It would have been fine if they had just stopped supporting it. Avoid this app
I have been using Bridge Baron for years. I paid $20 for the app and then an additional $20 for the upgraded version a couple of years ago. The upgrade never worked well on my IPAD. Would take up to 10, sometimes 12 attempts to get it to load. Then , I could only use it in portrait mode. The purchase was supposed to be lifetime. When I opened the app today, I saw the upgrade and the no choice but to pay $60/year for a subscription. I will be deleting this app today and using Bridge Base Online. At least BBO is forthright about their pricing structure. No cost unless you are playing in games that have a registration fee. I feel cheated and ripped off by Bridge Baron. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

Bridge Baron Gold
I bought Bridge Baron Gold for I-Pad several weeks ago and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Right now it opens but it doesn’t have any cards. I have a keyboard on my I-Pad and New Game opens both up and down and sideways but Load Game only opens up and down which is awkward on my I-Pad. Sometimes when I click on the ICON it just clicks off and won’t open. I had an old Bridge Baron CD that I have on my desktop and I transferred it to my I-Pad several years ago and it worked great…never had any problems. When I was notified to update that version several month ago, it just disappeared after the update. So I bought Bridge Baron Gold and right now wish I hadn’t wasted the money.
